Portland update

Hi guys. Soon available in the download section an updated version of Shmok's Portland Cart track for Gp3 1.13.
As promised time ago, i have updated the chicaned version.
What's new:
- fences and fence extensions
- pitlane
- ads
- MD file
Added:
- the bridge on the mainstraight
- tyre barriers
There's still a bug exitng and entering the pits, but the track now is closer to real-life.

Note: the MD file provided in the rar file is not inserted in the .dat file.
You must insert it (or whatever you want) or use GpxPatch in debug mode.

Report any bugs and advice.
Bye.

Thanks. Now i'm working on having a more realistic chicane.
I have removed the walls and I have inserted the tarmac texture outside the chicane, as in the real track, and the chicane looks really nice now; but i have a problem: if you miss the chicane and drive outside it (in the grass or in the tarmac) the game become mad: you can't see the correct graphic and even if you are on the track it seems you are in the runoff area on the grass. So it is impossible to continue playing. Any help is welcome. Master Roberto, any advice? ;-)
So at the moment i did this: i removed the fence extensions in the chicane, and added a tyre barrier. This avoid you to drive into the runoff area and have the problems described before. It is not great, but just a bit better then previous version.
Soon i'll upload this version, maybe after have solved the graphic bugs entering/exiting the pits.
Bye.

Hi guys, Portland does not work with me.
Put .dat file in circuits folder and portjams in Gp3jamsH.
And I use GPxPatch v3.91 (GP3 v1.13)
What did I do wrong?:(

Guys, the track doesn't contain the MD, but even if you insert the MD file you must use Gpxpatch in debug mode (i don't know why, i suppose the track contains some bug that Gpxpatch solves).
Second: i have solved the graphic bugs entering/exiting the pits and modify a bit the chicane fences.
Very soon i'll upload 2.1 version.
Bye.

i tried the track and it crashed here after the loading screens so it's by a jam issues.
i had a rapid check and the problem seems to be in the file 'bridwire.jam'
Unchecked the non-standard width and non-standard heights in the options of every jam in that file and it worked fine, maybe it may work if someone had the same issue ;-)

It always give me the same text:

0x00413419 -> Bump range too high. Wrong slot or no cmagic used or wrong bump table made.

but it loads or still crashes? and in case, crashes before or after the loading lights?

if you got that message but still crashes means you activated the debug mode and the log assertion. with debug mode you by-pass the md missing and the track should load, so i suppose it's a jam problem. try my solution i had the same troubles and now works fine it seems

try extracting this file in the jam folder of the track to overwrite the existing one.
if you insert the md you dont need the debug mode
without the proper md you may have problems entering the pits etc etc...

Ok guys: i use only Gp3 1.13 and don't have any problem, but must use gpxpatch in debug mode anyway. I don't use Gp3 2k so sorry but don't know problems related to 2k version.
But now, i am going to upload 2.1 version: solved the graphic bugs in pitlane, new fence extensions and a little change in chicane.
Hope you like it.
Bye.

@Roberto: very interested in that jam issue, if you could tell me something more...

neither do i know. removing that file from the jam folder the track loaded so i did the only thing possible on it: uncheck additional options from the jam editor. Excluded the transparency and the 0x1000 i dunno what the other options do.
