Hi people. Now available in "cart and other tracks" of the download section, an updated version of Motegi Oval.
What's New
- new ads;
- new grandstand positions and central grandstand;
- new scenery a bit closer to real life;
- add pit boxes into pitlane;
- new tyre consumption to avoid driving on the wheels the last laps of the stint.
About race: 99 laps race, 2 pitstop strategy for everyone.
Fuel consumption for human is a bit low; tyre consumption should be ok: you can modify whatever you want in the MD file.
Full credit to Brett Knuchel (Knuckles).
Hope you like it. As always, report any bug.
Claudio.

Indy already exists: in the old download section of this site you will find a great version: no update is necessary, download it, if you like ovals this is a must.
You will find Milwaukee, Nazareth and Homestead too: other great jobs.
Bye.

Thanks again. I have posted Texas Motorspeedway, it should be available soon.
As usual, it is a graphic update of Roman Mika's track (thanks Roman).
What's new:
- fixed a few missing objects (part of the grandstands and of some buildings);
- new grandstands;
- new trees;
- new Md file (CC setup and tyre consumption).
As usual, the MD file is set to fit the original Gp3 1.13 physic and performance file (800 Bhp, 16384 as max CC grip...): you can modify the MD as you like to fit your physic and performance.
Hope you like. As always, report any bug.
Claudio.

nice done Claudio ;-)

i used a couple of times the twin rings but always failed because of the ccline or the nature of the track or even the setup itself. For some reason the cc cars break hard in the tight corner resulting in a sistematic crash with the car in front of me :(

Thanks again.

@Roberto
I've never noticed this problem with Motegi, maybe it's a matter of CC setup (the ccline seems to be good, but you are the expert...).

About ovals, anyway, i noticed that tyre consumption is usually to high, and found out this:
- for short oval (1 mile long, as Milwaukee, Nazareth and Chicago) tyre consumption must be set about 9000;
- a bit more for medium track (Motegi, Homestead, Texas...)
- for longer one (Fontana and Indy) about 14000 seems to be ok.
Fontana will be the next release...
Bye.

consumption should be determined also by the complexity of the track or type of tarmac. as in ovals there arent curves the usage should be much lower and related to one side of the car because of the turning left/banked road. so should have sense a much low value

as you are on the oval testing would you try the working of these strings?

512 ; cc random perf range min
2048 ; cc random perf range max

i may have noticed that reducing the difference between them the cars tend to stay closer but not sure. Using normal performance gaps (in gp3edit) in ovals after few laps the cars are orderd by the fastest to slower and nothing else happen. i usuallu reduce the gaps inside the 1,5% in race but probably they do something too, who knows... :)

@Roberto
Yes, for what i have noticed, the value you are talking about make just this: take the CC closer to each other, so the more the value are close, the more the CC are close (and you have very difficoult races, expecially in short ovals, 'cause you have to drive between a lot of very close CC, but very funny and challenging).
Bye.
