Is anyone willing to update GP3 to 2008?

I am already working on a 2008 carshape. Perhaps I'll have a go at helmets if I feel I'm not alone in this endeavor.

@ Car-painters:
As far as I know all teams have adopted a zero-keel design. Therefore, there's no need to paint complex structures and transparencies on the front part of the car. Just paint it with solid colours and the carshape does the job. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Any thoughts or plans for 2008?

Will you make a performance set for 2008, Mario ? That would be great.
Stefaan and myself will make complete carsets for GP3 and 2k again,
so will other guys do too (fcm, jyce ?).

Happy racing from Germany !!!

Anyone willing to help please read questions below:

It would be possible, drafi.

However the magic data must be specifically made for a given *.dat and GP3 version, which means we must choose beforehand the tracks and the game to be used. Also, I would need some vital information.

- Which tracks should we use?

- How to calculate qualifying performances (given that laptimes are not exactly a good source to do the maths)?

- Does anyone know where to find FIA's predictions on fuel consumption for each track (kg's of fuel per lap drivers are allowed to put back in their cars after qualifying)?

- Does anyone know where to find engine analysis and BHP figures to be used as a reference/starting point?

- Does anyone know where to find weather conditions of last years' GPs (to update Jacki Matra's 2001 rain probabilities)?

- Are setups really needed?

- Any requests regarding the carshape or the performance pack?

- If you need, I have a nice Arai helmet template.

Let's do it. :P

- Are setups really needed?

setup involve laptimes and fuel consuption i guess. having the well defined or so for the AI should help to reach a realisting ranges.

Sorry Roberto, I didn't get exactly what you mean.
I can adjust AI's precisely. But to make it challenging for the player, there are two ways: to develop a good setup and all the necessary changes to make it fair or simply to use default suspension setup, adjust grip and add packers as needed (more or less what belini does).

About the qualifying, do as usual, just increase the gaps as it was an only session (I can't explain it rigth in english LOL)

Exemple

Q2

10 - Trulli - Toyota - 1:10.200
11 - Webber - Red Bull - 1:10.250 (+0.050)

Q3

10 - Trulli - Toyota - 1:11.200

Times you will use:

10 - Trulli - Toyota - 1:11.200
11 - Webber - Red Bull - 1:11.250 (+0.050)

I guess you understand, if not, you have my MSN

@ R_Scandura
Setups for AI are easy to do (according to the top speed/lap time basically). But for the human player I don't know what you people prefer. I'd much rather have specific setups to "feel" the handling of a soft/high or stiff/low car, depending on the circuit's characteristics, and then make adjustments as needed.

@ Remédio:
Great idea, I'll try it in Excel.

I have made (customising somebody elses, so don't credit me when i release it on here in a few days) a 2008 carset. It has correct helmets, performance data, drivers, team art tyres, and anything else that you can find.

Happy racing!!!

Couldn't find anywhere better to post these. I did see quite a few 2008 Hondas but hadn't noticed a Red Bull or an Aguri:

Made using Claimbo's 07 templates
