The bhp-idea is nice. How did you calculate those ability ranges?

Example for ranges:

Paiva set the fastest time. You was only 18th. I have then make follow calculation:

406986 - 405652 = 1334 > 1334 : 4 = 333.5 >>> so your range is 333.

I think, it's a good calculation. I have already simulate some qualifying runs and it looks very promising.
... the start off the season finds Baltzo in good shape .... althought he is new to the team and he has to learn the car .

That means, the slower you´ve been, the higher your range.
Another suggestion: You could take the time range between fastest and slowest time of each driver...

could be a idea. will try that out tonight ;-)
I thought about it. On the other hand yours is ok because the slower cars have moved within that larger time-range to the fastest which you chose you take. It just happened by chance, on "random" if you like.
I´ve always understood those ranges as the maximum ratio between best and worst performance. Like when the range is 800, the driver goes 400 up and 400 down. Or is it rather 800 in both directions? I think not... that would be 1600 for me.
But the 4 times of each I driver which I suggested are "random" as well, so it makes no real difference. Your ranges will be larger than mine and so they are more significant.
You´re the boss...
quite good performance for racing cats

PERFORMANCE SHOOT OUT, DAY 3

Welcome to the third day of the performance shoot-out. Today, it's time to race out the race performance.

Paiva is the first one who goes out. As you can see, this sesssion is running in the evening.

Paiva is also set the first time.

And it's a wonder. Nobody other in the first group can beat him.

Only position 9th for Silva at the moment.

Parker saves position 2.

Group 2 starts with Jewitt.

Baltzo behind him and catch position 6 from Jewitt.

Stefaan only on position 11.

After two disappointed days, Kutvonen can finally drive a perfect time. Position 1 for him!

Bongardt must be shocked from Kutvonen's time. Only position 13.

Also Jeha is shocked!

But Vandeneynde not... only a bit!

Group 1 again on the case... and Moser is already making a fantastic lap. Place 2

Finney gives Voogt a bit slipstream, but it helps not so much.

One Racing is still on the quest to find the mistake-worm. Only Place 17 for Vilela...

..and Position 15 for his team-mate Buster.

Scandura is also not yet able to go faster. But he is better as yesterday.

Finney is the last one in the group, but he is far away.

Group 2 with the last chance. Vingerhoets can make a development.

Also Jeha can make it...

...but not Baltzo!

Man of the Day is still Kutvonen. And he shows for the 2nd time for today, that he is back on the track!!!

The last three can't crack Kutvonen's Time.

So this are the result of Day 3:
Looks like we've got more a qualifying baggage than race, but 7th and 9th is a respectable result.

Team Owner of ItalianEnglish Dynamics in GPG Super League
GP4 Season 5: 7) Jethro Walters. 8) Zsigmond Somogyi. TD) Stuart Ingers and Joel Henrique
GP3 Season 5: 14) Nathan Turner. 15) Tobias Kederer.
6 Time Race Winners
1st and 3rd for Team Finghini!!!:D:D:D We are looking good for the championship :D
woohoo! Finally right position for me! Team Finghini showed real power and nice positions! :D
Well, when the championship starts, we'll run on top!!! :D

One Racing driver and team manager
GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
4th in the first and third shootouts...nice. Looks like I'll be doing really well or really badly in qualifying.

Nice to see my idea was taken on board, Florian. It works, doesn't it?
