This is probably a very stupid question but will those tracks work in GP3 1.13?

Or I have to just change the magic data?

What's new in Interlagos?

I can´t race magny cours 2003 in GP3 (1.13), the track name doesn´t
appear, when I start the race, the game crashes and GPXPatch 3.56
shows the error: "related to internal objects and cameras".
All other tracks of interlagos and magny cours work very well in GP3
and GP3-2000. I never saw such a colour brilliance and deep before,
if you use KevBell´s visor set 2003 it is just like GP4 !!!

It is a track size problem: I remember we had it too with Augusto's pyramids track. Anyway I've managed to solve the problem. I just wrote to PK asking for its permission to upload the modified .dat file.

He, thank you guys, but I have not merits: I only removed from the .dat the unused internal objects definitions, nothing more.

I had a go with Belini's track into my GP3 1.13 and it didn't work but I am glad that Gabriele fixed the .dat file and it works now.

The track is amazingly detailed! I spent too much time checking out the scenery and the objects around the track!

Is there any chance that you might do the same for the 2002 Magny-Cours as you did for the 2003 Magny-Cours?

The 1999-2001 versions all work in GP, as is, but the two later ones do not.

OK Jacki, I was yet thinking to convert the MD2 coming with the Belini's tracks to MD. It is a kick in the ass, because there's not an available MD2 to MD converter, and the work has to be done manually, so I think they will be ready in the next days.

As for 2002 Magny-Cours, sorry, I didn't test it: I'll do it immediately

mmm... are you sure about Magny Cours 2002?
I tested it just a few minutes ago, and it worked fine, at least it was loaded correctly and it ran for a few laps (quick race with no driver selected) apparently without any problem.
So: what's wrong for you?

Quite.
I spent several hours trying,but with no success.
When GP3 tries to load the track, it instead just gives the message "wrong file type" (the same as it does with your GP3 version of the 2003 Magny-Cours), but does not CTD. It just won't load the track. This is with my GP3 Magny-Cours magic data inserted in the track, which works fine for the 1999-2001 tracks.

Now that Magny-Cours 2003 circuits by both abcdefg and Belini have been made, I have finally gotten around to trying out all of the three new 2003 F1 circuits, Hungaroring, Magny-Cours, and Monte Carlo.

Belini's 1999-2001 Magny-Cours tracks all work (and look) great, without the high processor occupancy that I experienced with his Interlagos tracks.

Alas, after many hours of trying, I have been unable to get either of Belini's 2002 or 2003 Magny-Cours to work in GP3, nor have I been able to get the 2003 Hungaroring to work in GP3, either. Does anyone have the 2003 Hungaroring working in GP3? The 2003 Monte Carlo track is the only one of the new 2003 F1 circuits that I have working okay in my GP3.

P.S. I don't know if this is also true of Belini's 2002 and 2003 Magny-Cours circuits, as I have been unable to get them to work in GP3, but has anyone else noticed that, at least in his 1999-2001 Magny-Cours tracks, the timing sectors are obviously competely misplaced? I wouldn't mention this usually as it's usually such an easy thing to correct, but in the case of these tracks with their extraordinarily large number of track sections, the track editor apparently can't cope with the tracks (at least not on my feeble Athlon 900), taking a very long time to load the track in the first place, again taking a very long time to execute any commands at all (such as zooming in on the track view), and then eventually crashing before I can get as far as finding the proper track sections.

but with me the magny-cours circuits work fine
the Hungaroring is not
it goes to drive on it without problems but when you try to leave
for chance of setup or anything else it crashes to the desktop even in debug mode
and that a shame because it is great work.
