tried sound , still doesnt work.

but eric the 64 bit thing doesnt matter, because the specs were the SAME before i formatted lol and it used to work

chipset drivers fine,

tried your nvidia settings, didnt help.

I have a thought, on lower screen resolutions, it works perfectly. Maybe just maybe I'm overloading my Power Supply? if I disconnect a few drives the GFX card might have more power and run at a better performance??

Am I wrong here or will more power help the GFX card??

Get back to me and ill try it depending on what people say.

..with low resolution still in HW-Mode?
->plz post "cards.txt", "gconfig.txt" and "f1system.txt" from gamedir
->remind that here on my system I use latest chipset and NVidia driver and I think you also should do that from now on (the older drivers don´t solve anything)

I would try it, but as you said -your Hardware is the same as before

my conclusion:
- it could be possible that drivers were not installed in a correct order (1st should always be mainboard-chipset when setting up a new windows)
- it could be possible that during windows installation there happened an online-update that lacks of GP3/grafic support
- the low resolution/high resolution difference point to driver issues

tried the latest and old chipset driver - nothing. new and old graphics drivers - nothing. even on low res it still shoots up when ai's come into play.

I would try it, but as you said -your Hardware is the same as before

Tried unplugging some other devices to save power - didnt work

my conclusion:
- it could be possible that drivers were not installed in a correct order (1st should always be mainboard-chipset when setting up a new windows)

reinstalled a much older version of windows xp, didnt help
- it could be possible that during windows installation there happened an online-update that lacks of GP3/grafic support

installed without updating anything - didnt help
- the low resolution/high resolution difference point to driver issues

ive adjusted and installed every possible driver ever, hasnt helped

im just going to bin GP3 completely soon :@

Cool solution could be: Make yourself a Dualboot-Environment

- with WindowsXP as webconnected (or Win7 if you like)
+ WinMilleniumEdition (has USB-support!) as offline system! <-run GP3 here :)

Already had a dualboot, 7 & Xp. XP was purely for GP3.

I didn't connect XP to the web when I reinstalled it. GP3 still will not run properly :/

Did you try to unplug your graphic card (then reboot) and plug it once again ? This once worked for me (not such a long time, but it did...)
And, I suppose that you have a dual output on your graphic card. Try to change the output used by your screen. This solved my problem the same way another time.
And also, if you have only one screen, there must be somewhere an option in your control panel for using a single screen. Check it.

You got an issue with your inboard chipset. Then it gives you an issue with your graphic card.
You should check your internal GC driver first.

So :
1-unplug your graphic card [Reboot]
2- uninstall your inboard graphic chipset driver and your graphic card driver [Reboot]
3- re-install your inboard graphic chipset driver (an older one would be better) [Reboot]
4- test and calibrate your game (it will be in SW mode) [Stop your comp]
5- re-install your graphic card [Reboot]
6- re-install your graphic card driver [Reboot]
7- configure your graphic card settings following pirx post
8- test and calibrate your game
9- Save and quit the game - DON'T CALIBRATE YOUR GAME NO MORE
10- Play the game and report :-)

dual output? as in VGA/HDMI? i only have VGA on it.
Or as VGA/VGA

very interesting is your "gconfig.txt" indeed!

do as Eric suggested +++
IMPORTANT: first deinstall driver before unpluging card!!!
(then hopefully windows is friendly uninstalling drivers) ;)

if successfull please post new gconfig.. 8)

Yes, you're right.
So: 1-deinstall drivers, 2- unplug card

hi,

what goes on with it?

Hi, I uninstalled Windows XP on October 9th, and have been busy with university work since then.

I have to put XP back on again but it's getting very annoying. I'll try it next weekend when I have a free day or two.

Question, I think there's a possibility my GFX card is kind of broken, would that be causing the weird slow issues?

..never heard of such issues

what are the FX that you come to this conclusion?

Well my monitor keeps going off, not this monitor, it happens when I connect to other monitors & using VGA, HDMI or DVI too.

It keeps making clicking noises. Wen I watch videos of high-res they freeze and I think its running hot.

This is all recent, hasn't always been this way

sounds like a broken monitor-panel -not gcard!

Or maybe the graphic card fan. You probably have to connect it to the motherboard.
