It's a common issue and there are some post in this forum regarding this. One simple solution is just to paint the tyre bitmaps black in all cyan/transparent parts (in Tech folder I think)...
The Portiao project sounds great, I really hope that it will be available for GP3 one fine day, but it seems that we can test it first in GP2... That's fine as well...
