GPGSL S9 R13 - Austrian GP - A-1 Ring [Race online p205!]

Posted by GPGSL
I have a different version of the A1-ring that hasn't got that cc-line.

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian

That's the line they used in 2003, so it's not wrong at all. video: [www.youtube.com] The released version had both that version and a 'regular' version of the cc-line.

A dreadful, dreadful race. This season is turning out to be a lot more erratic than the last one. Don't worry Seb, sh*t happens ;-) still, the race wasn't going pretty much anywhere before we collided.

As for the track, wouldn't it be right to use the default version of the A1-Ring in GP4? I mean, it's the safest version, methinks. Don't think we should declare the race invalid, though.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
I would LOVE to call the race invalid, given that Demon had a shocker! LOL!
But, i also do not mind a wild race, as in real life, we get wild bizarre action now and then! It just sucks when it affects BOTH your cars that were looking at points positions!

Wow, great work guys, we really dominated this weekend. Great stuff (Y)

On the cc-line: even with a more conventional line in turn 1 the cc-cars behave quite similar, I think there's not much of a difference.

Great result for us. And, of course, my condolences, Stu! =/

Bad race, though I'm happy that I was able to finish the race on a car with throttle problems. Hopefully Brno will be better.

Sorry for you and your family, stu. Best wishes and have strenght.
Happy to finish 3rd :-) I struggled to get my tyres to work after the stops, so couldn't hold 2nd place.

A not horrible race for once, woo

Just have to hope Mal's inactivity penalty won't hurt SCR over the last few races. 1st may be out of the question (unless a miracle happens and SCR gain more points than MPR in the next few races), but 2nd is still well and truly up for grabs. AMR better be prepared for a battle.

Btw I see this is the first race that Ed Greenhalgh did not score any points this season! The MPR Drivers points scoring streak is now officially over, lets hope we can keep up the pace! The good news is that MPR is the only team to have scored points in every race so far this season, consistency and reliability is key we hope!

Race starts: 141 | Points: 886 | Podiums: 35 | Race wins: 10

We shall see about that.....Demon management will consider making that decision after the next round....We may see it in our team's best interest to stick with our original plan, to let Mr Legge race the last few rounds.

Damn, that result stung. Looks like Aston are coming on strong at this late stage of the season.

Declaring the result nul and void simply because your two cars crashed into each other is a bit rich.

As Ed points out that is the racing line. It was tested and cleared to go on the calendar and should stay.

What's happening with Dijon, is the round postponed indefinitely? Would be good to know from a strategy point of view.

And as Charrel said, this race didn't exactly go to plan but we've set new high standards for ourselves this season. We will brush ourselves off and and push towards the end of the season. After so many full years of Aston Martin domination the championships belong to us.

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
Once again, as has been testified by Ruben not too long in the past: Dijon will be ready as the second to last race in the calendar.
