True North Racing land Makita as S10 title sponsor

True North Racing have endured their worst season to date, but have managed to land one of Japans finest tool manufacturers as their lead sponsor for Season 10.

It is believed both Norbert Horvath's passion for Japanese cartoons and Vomit Comet's extensive knowledge of oriental garden configurations were largely to thank in the negociations over in the land of the rising sun.

Whilst it is unknown where HP stand on the deal, the Makita signing is expected to feature prominently on the S10 livery.

Whether the link has even greater depths is another mystery. There has been lots of speculation BMW are set to be ditched in favour of a switch with more Japanese links in Honda, but nothing has come to light.

Aaaah, Makita. Cool logo for them...
Tough decision sometimes for these sponsor negotiations.
Speaking on behalf of Demon Racing, I can say that there are also some changes in sponsorship for S10. Word filtering out from the walls of DMR are that Canon may be on the way out. A global company heavily involved in the surf industry may be on the verge of signing a deal with DMR, along with a very well known electrical/technology company. The team's airline of choice may too be on the verge of changing, with links to another global airline possibly to take on the teams' travel duties.

I can confirm that, in a deal to ensure Ruben Greidanus would be a able to run a team next season, I announced Rico would be driving for Shadow in season 10 ;)

There have been no other announcements regarding the Team Shadow line up for season 10 but I can confirm I'm looking for two new testers for the Driver Development Pogramme.

Thanks!!

Also, seriously Dan!!!!!!

Martini Paddock Racing Announcement

Season 10 Driver Line-up

Martini Paddock Racing has confirmed it will retain both Ed Greenhalgh and Charrel Jalving for season 10 of the GrandPrixGames Super League, with Matteo Scala joining in a testing capacity from VSM.

Team owner Dan Paddock was delighted to confirm his driver line-up for next season, and said he fully expects Greenhalgh and Jalving to battle for the drivers' championship in S10.

"It is great to be able to finally reveal that we will be retaining both Ed and Charrel for Season 10," Paddock said. "I'm delighted personally. It a great triumph for the team.

"Both drivers are both hard working individuals who fully understand what MPR is all about and it is a pleasure to be able to work with them for another season, a season in which I hope both drivers' will be in the battle for the drivers' championship.

"Having Matteo back for S10 will be fantastic," he said of Scala, who last drove for the team back in Season 6. "We have always worked well together in the past, and with his vast GPGSL experience he can only add to the 'dream team' we are attempting to build here at MPR"

Greenhalgh, who joined MPR from Aston Martin Racing at the end of last season, said with his future for S10 wrapped up his focus rested solely on adding a fifth drivers' title to his collection.

"I am happy to confirm I will be staying on at MPR for next season," said the Australian. "I have really enjoyed my time here so far, and it's good to sort out my plans for next season so I can get back to focusing on my championship battle."

Jalving, a veteran of over 80 races with MPR, said leaving the Martini-liveried outfit was never an option and insisted his ultimate goal still remains the drivers' title.

"I am very pleased to say that I will stay with Martini Paddock Racing for another season" enthused the Dutchman. "The option was already in the contract and both parties were happy with the current situation and performance.

"The choice to stay with MPR was an easy one, I am a part of this team and the team is build around me and Ed. This season the performance of the car has been amazing, together with Ed we keep pushing MPR to the top.

"As we speak MPR is leading the teams' championship, and I am third in the drivers' championship," he added. "Our main goal is to bring MPR the constructor championship, my personal goal is to become World Driver Champion. The fight will be tough this season, but with my renewed contract I feel the confidence to keep fighting."

Scala, back at MPR after three seasons with Van Smirren Motorsports, said it was a "pleasure" to return to the team he left at the end of S10 after an underwhelming season which, after promising much, has failed to deliver.

"After such a horrible season it is a pleasure to come back to MPR," explained Scala. "The team has improved a lot since S6 so we expect to perform well in S10."

Just wondering who will be running the Austrian round?

Seems like almost every driver announcement came at the same time, much like buses
