Thanks. Will try that next time I'm on there. I love the way I can post this question on a motorsport forum and get an answer pretty quickly, but I post it on a FIFA forum and everyone ignores it all day.by Go Alesi - Other Games
Hi, I got FIFA 09 with my new Xbox yesterday, but I'm having problems changing the camera settings. I want to adjust the height and zoom, but it won't let me move the slider in the menu to do so. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanksby Go Alesi - Other Games
Hi, I'm considering buying an Xbox 360 arcarde, but I notice they come with wireless controllers now. How long do the batteries last in one of those (and does it come with batteries out of the box?). Is it worth getting a play and charge kit? And if so, has anyone used the Game own-brand one, because that's only £10. Thanksby Go Alesi - Other Games
Just increase the points differential between 1st and 2nd, ie give 1st place 12 points. That will increase the incentive to win. Simple.by Go Alesi - F1
Yep, £60,000 is a lot compared to what other people have got. I was suprised. The Douglases only got a few thousand when their wedding was photographed (although they were already selling the photos for £1mil anyway...) and Naomi Campbell only got about £2,000 or so was she was photographed outside narcotics anonymous. The prostitute testifying would have made no difference I suspect. The NOTby Go Alesi - F1
You have to click on 'Load Tracks' down the side as well as installing them. Also, if you're using CSM, you need to select a track profile to load with the mod, else it will load the default tracks.by Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
Quote 1. Good news. So if it's a sim it's a sim allround. Yeah, but it's not going to be a sim by any stretch of the imagination. Well, by any normal non-Coddies-employee imagination anywayby Go Alesi - Other Games
Well it looks like it's a GPxPatch problem, because that is where the info that it displays would show up. So I guess you could try installing the latest GPxPatch, becuase it looks almost as if the mod is trying to load panels that your version of GPxPatch might not support. If you've got an up-to-date version, try re-installing it.by Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
I prefer the low reflections in the wet, because they actually give more reflections than the high settings, which just look a bt of a mess. So I set the reflections to high in game (so that you get the good reflections on the cars) and then switch the relfect effect to 0 in the f1graphics. But for me, that gives better performance than the high settings.by Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
For anyone who drags this up in a search at some point, the problem is fixed. Basically, the .exe was corrupted. CSM or TSM is doing this, I'm not sure what. But the reason I hadn't solved it initially, is because what you need to do is firstly unload any installed tracks in TSM and revert to the original tracks. Also properly restore after using CSM. Then, and only then, put in a freshby Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
Well, you just need an original v9.6 no-cd (ie decrypted) gp4.exe, that you haven't used tweaker with. So what I do is, when I want to use CSM, I rename the .exe I have been using to something like gp4normal.exe, and then drop in a clean gp4.exe. When I've finished with CSM, I rename the clean gp4.exe something like gp4csm.exe and then rename the gp4normal.exe to just gp4.exe. But rby Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
Well if it works, I'd just leave it if I were you...by Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
My best guess would be that it could be down to the odd way you're running your game, by using CSM merely to install the mod. The 2 lots of settings could be conflicting with each other somehow. But then, if you've changed it in both lots of files at the same time, you'd expect it to work, so I don't know really...by Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
OK, well I can see why editing the values in the main folder would work. But there's still something slightly odd about your mod folder if the file is not in it... Anyway, it doesn't matter if it works!by Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
No, you can't just copy it because it contains other values as far as I remember. So it wouldn't work. But anyway, you don't want to copy it to that locaiton anyway. It's empty because the mod doesn't load anything from there. Don't open CSM. Go to your GP4 directory through Windows Explorer, and then find the 2006/7 mod in the GPSaves>Carsets folder. Then go tby Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
The file you want is the 2006gp4tweak configuration. But that doesn't have the slipstream values in. There should be a file called slipstream.ini somewhere in the 2006/7 mod file, and that's what you need. It doesn't matter that the 2007 mod folder is empty - the file that is used is the 2006 one. Remember, that 2007 mod is a beta - so there's some 2007 stuff, but other thingsby Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
No, just changing it in the main folder is no good, becuase CSM loads the one located in the mod folder. You may be looking in the wrong folder. I haven't got my computer to hand at the moment, but in the mod folder, there will definately be a 'Tweaker' folder somewhere, and that will have a file in it called slipstream.ini . Just look through all the folders in the mod if need beby Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
OK thanks. I have replaced the .exe several times though, which is what's confusing. It happened before, but replacing the .exe seemed to work that time. Not this time though... I'll try unloading the TSM tracks and then replacing it, and delete the CSM mods - I can't run most of them anyway. Thanksby Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
Nope, I'm using one gp4.exe for CSM, and another for when I don't use CSM. So I keep it all separate. Which is what is puzzling. And I've tried putting in a completely fresh decrypted exe with no success. Thanks edit: sorry, did you mean one gp4 directory? Yes, I'm using the same for both. It's admittedly a bit inconvenient, but it worked fine until I updated CSM tby Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
I put in an original wad when I want to use CSM. But if a .wad worked before hand, and then I renamed it whilst I ran CSM and put in an original wad, and then changed it back to the operative cars.wad afterwards, why should it not work now? CSM hasn't touched it. I'll try the original cars.wad when I get home, but it seems that something else may have gone wrong somewhere. I may be wronby Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
Hi. I've been running my stock GP4 game with the 2007 tracks (through TSM) and a slightly updated 2001 cars.wad. But I've also been using CSM sometimes to use( or try to use) some of the new mods, like the 2007/6 mod, or the 1995 mod - all using the 2007 tracks. When I want to use CSM, I have to replace the gp4.exe and the cars.wad that I use when I run the game normally (else CSM dby Go Alesi - Grand Prix 4
@SpaceAce: yes, that does explain the crash/overtaking scenario. But what I was getting at is that, as soon as the in game AI takes over to overtake you, then the 'in game' Hamilton gets out of sync with the 'real life' Hamilton, becasue the 'real life' Hamilton doesn't have to overtake. So the result is that after that point, the in game AI must do all of the cby Go Alesi - Other Games
Sounds very cool indeed. I bet Coddies would be interested for their F1 'sim'. But that's going to have to be some seriously complicated AI behaviour. Because surely as soon as something happens to make an AI car deviate from what's happened in the real world, it's all going to go out of sync. So what if you cause a first corner crash and hold up the second half of theby Go Alesi - Other Games
Which one do you have? I have the GT one that's quite old now (full wheel, with a Ferrari badge in the middle and paddels and a stick) and I've never had any problems with it in rF. You have to have the updated drivers, but there's certainly no blanket problem with them.by Go Alesi - Other Games
My real worry would be this comment: "Yes, simulation versus arcade. Codemasters’ history in TOCA Race Driver has been very heavily weighted towards simulation..." Err, anyone who's played any of the Race Driver games will know that that they are not sims by any stretch of the imagination. So if Codemasters think that the Race Driver games are simulations, then the F1 game wiby Go Alesi - Other Games
Not suprising really when the video was all over the internet. Although I'd be suprised to see him loose at full trial. Contrary to what has been said earlier in the thread, there is definitely protection for a person's privacy in English law. And the courts don't take kindly to the publication of photos and videos. Hi, I need to change the basic graphics card settings on my PC. I have a GF4 card with some old-ish, but ood working drivers (56.73 or something). Problem is, there's no graphics card tab in the advanced display options for me to change anti-aliasing etc. I go into the properties from the desktop then settings > advanced , but then when the advanced menu comes up, there's no tabby Go Alesi - Off-Topic
Thanks. I know I'm going to spend money. Was just looking to try and see what the problem was before I start swapping hardware. Thanks again.by Go Alesi - Off-Topic
I can't afford to replace the PSU atm if it's not broken, and as it worked fine for 2 years before, I'll have to keep it. The 12v is running at 12.4. I just had it running on GP4 for a full race distance. It's relatively cool here today, and I took the side off. The temps after I'd finished were 56 deg C for the graphics card (up from 50 to begin with), 44 for theby Go Alesi - Off-Topic
