Change the "timed" option in your configuration file to "true", it should do the trick. It's in the "" section.by zifox - Other Games
Hi everyone. I recently came back to the GP series after at least 10 years without playing it, and in the process am spending some time again on forums/website to find modding information, tips, etc... My memory may be playing tricks on me, but I have been quite active around 2005-2008 and i'm quite surprised of being unable to find old posts. At the time, I wrote summaries of my racesby zifox - Off-Topic
Yes the steering was too sensitive at the beginning, when the wheel was configured on 300°. I did my first two races in F1GP and it was really hard. I changed the wheel configuration to 360°, and things got way better. I have the same behavior in F1GP or GP2. I still have difficulties going into a really straight line, but i think that's due to my wheel: it has a quite large FFB deadzonby zifox - Other Games

To my horror, I have the same exact visual bug when I try to launch it using Windows 7. Yes, I went through the trouble of buying a new hard drive, installing win7 on a computer with USB3 only, just to be able to run GP3 glitch free. And sadly it doesn't work. I guess I really have an issue with my graphic card (Radeon 5700) One difference though: when running the performance test,by zifox - Grand Prix 3
I finished my season two weeks ago (won the championship ! ), but it was a close call. I didn't remember the driving in wet conditions was THAT bad ! Three races before the end, I had a comfortable lead ( 23 points ) on the second. Then rain in Barcelona. Needless to say, a DNF, i couldn't make it past the 20th lap: spun a lot end ended being totalled by another car in the last corneby zifox - Other Games
You're unable to map the axis in dosbox to the second controller, or unable to use the second controller in GP2 ? For the latter, i may have a clue: I had a bug in the control settings in the game which took me days to solve: apparently if an axis has been calibrated once, the game keeps the previous values if you try to calibrate it again, and it f**ks up everything if the first calibraby zifox - Other Games
Hi, Seeing your Hardcore Season on youtube (and discovering you could actually play with a wheel !) made me start a full season, and oh boy what a joy. I'm amazed that a 30 years old game could still give so much fun. Of course the driving sensation feel old and simple, some of the reactions are a bit basic, but the overall feeling is homogeneous and plausible. I've been impressedby zifox - Other Games
I don't have one install in each game folder. I have one install, and several shortcuts, each of them specifying a configuration file. There are two ways of directly launching an exe: - putting it in the commande line - using commands at the end of the configuration file. I use the first option, meaning the shortcut for GP2 contains: "D:\Jeux\DOSBox ECE r4432\DOSBox.exe"by zifox - Other Games

You only need to have a CD drive visible in windows, it's the same issue with GP4. Mount any iso and it will work.by zifox - Grand Prix 3
Hi, I did manage to solve my issue, which was caused by a mixup in configuration files. I have several versions of dosbox and multiple configuration files for the games I run (I store a conf and mapper files in the game folder), and when I was launching DosBox ECE, it was not using the correct mapper file, next to the conf, but the "default/main" one in the user profile folder. Same result using DxWrapper as with dxWnd directly, which is not surprising given that directx7 is not part of the compatible version list. I think it working correctly on windows 7 because there is actually a version of DirectX7 for this os.by zifox - Grand Prix 3
I followed the tutorial to make GP3 run on windows 10 and have two hiccups: - with dgvoodoo half the textures are white (both cars and ground) - using dnWnd the transparent parts of the decals of the wheel and trees are greenish, and i can't start the game in full screen. It runs perfectly fine in software mode, but... honestly I can't play it this way, I used hardware accel back iby zifox - Grand Prix 3
Small update on my issue: I did manage to make my setup work for F1GP, using dosbox 0.74 (not the ECE version). It's amazing how the game feels even today. I tried launching GP2 the same way, but here I'm stuck with a well known issue: I can't calibrate the wheel as the values oscillate, depending on DosBox speed. (the faster I allow dosbox to work, the faster the oscaillatioby zifox - Other Games
Hi, nostalgia struck me after re-installing GP4 and i'd like to try to see if I could play GP1 and GP2 with my wheel. I've played for hundred of hours using a joystick, never with a wheel. I had no issue installing the game using Dosbox ECE (took advice from Ted Meat website), but I'm having trouble with the wheel configuration: I have a dead zone in the center of the wheel tby zifox - Other Games
Hi, i'm having issues updating my cars wad file using Wadupater, it corrupts it everytime. If I extract the original wad using WadUpdated3.3 then repack it, I have an error in gpxpatch telling me wheels, mirrors, etc... cannot be loaded, though the appears in the contents of the file and the file size is identical to the original file. I've tried using the latest version of wadupdatby zifox - Grand Prix 4
I guess i found: the 2008 Trackpack.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Ok that did the trick. Just have to load the iso (W10 does it nicely) before launching the game. Since I have you here MSchumi24, I have aquestion for you: i downloaded you 2001 mod V3.1, and i'm wondering which mod you're using for the melbourne track, it looks very good on the screenshot here:by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Great thanks, i wasn't sure what this option did. Good thing my old laptop still has a DVD reader.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone, i've returned to GP4 after about 10 years without touching it and saw loads of season mods available, using CSM. In the "old days" I had created my seasons sets manually using wadupdater, gp4master and other tools, which took ages, so I was quite happy to see that using CSM i could simply load one file and play. Or so I thought... I'm having issues with theby zifox - Grand Prix 4
