This is very intresting. Electric engines are knows for their huge torque they can produce. If the capacity increases, it's indeed possible to held races in the future it would be great to watch... Only the sound will be weirdby laurent - Other Motorsports
Blablabla........ The only team responsable for the crap Melbourne race is FERRARI. It surprises my anyway that Di Montezemollo didn't say Ferrari won the race with a silver version of their car This team really bores me, I hope they will have more races like Melbourne during the season. And like has been said... why aren't the others having the same probs?by laurent - F1
I use Matlab in combination with simulink. It's a great program, you're able to calculate very difficult differential equitations with just placing some blocks I must say the commands and programming style are hard in the beginning!! (I don't know ANYthing about the m-files anymore lol) Anyway, it's a very professional and good programby laurent - Off-Topic
I really don't get the point of this. If someone wants to explain me please, I have the following question: McLaren knows allready a long time the police will search in their houses/offices. Why aren't they removing all documents that may have to do with this case?? 2nd question... with the police, do I need to read it as: professional guys who know what they're searchingby laurent - F1
Kimi won because 1) He's one of the best drivers, no doubt 2) McLaren had alot of troubles the last races (not the spying thing, just ontrack) 3) Ferrari was the better car the first couple of races, and since Magny-Cours they were the car to beat I hope to see a simular season this year, but than the reversed case... McLaren (Lewis or Heiki) winning the champ only in the last raceby laurent - F1
I think it was Suzuka 2002 Anyway, I call a crash spectacular when a driver goes off, causes alot of debries, but most importent, gets out of the car without noticable injuries!! spectacular crashes are crashes like Kubica in Canada, or Burti in Hockenheim/Spa, Ralf Schumacher in Melbourne (turn 1) etc... all with a happy ending. When some gets injured, it's not spectacular, it'by laurent - F1
Pretty close times... A pity we don't have a clue who was testing whatby laurent - F1
well, McLaren isn't maybe the best team at the moment, but they are everything but far off Ferrari. About having a bad year: if you mean "not winning the championship", you may be rightby laurent - F1
well, never saw the video... all I can say is MS had/has some GREAT skills About using TC... I guess they didn't use it there, you can easily hear the wheels spinning too much when coming out of tight corners Maybe the engine management system did reduce this issue, but it for sure didn't eliminate itby laurent - F1
Yeh, but like Gav said, the system would still need an input signal before it would be activated. What is the input they used last years anyway? do they measure the wheelspeed and carspeed, than compare both?by laurent - F1
I think I missed soemthing about the fuel tanks. I thought it was only Honda... Anyway, I hope the FIA will act correctly if ANY team got caught using TC. For me a suspension from the season wouldn't be a bad idea. Or racing without scoring points like McLaren did last yr. Maybe the teams will be more afraid ( ==>clean) if they know the consequences are huge. Btw, does anyone kby laurent - F1
Well, for sure you got a point there. 1 thing we are all sure of: cheating will never end... The people in F1 are probably the best in what they do. It wouldn't surprise me at all if some engineers are spending a full time job just finding ways to optimise traction, and alot of other things outside the rules. Maybe BAR Honda was the best exemple... racing half the races with a far undeby laurent - F1
If Ferrari uses TC, and it will be discovered, they won't be punished anyway. remember 1999, Malaysia? It nearly cost Mika's 2nd title. Than previous year the first 3 GP's...? This cost Hamilton's or Alonso's title. Team orders? If any other teams 'cheats', they WILL be punished: Honda a few years ago... Mclaren's teamorders in Hungary. It'sby laurent - F1
This cars looks soooo great!!!by laurent - Grand Prix 4
A lack of traction WILL lead to more spins crashes, especially in the wet. But if you think further... where will the car spin/crash? It's clear a lack of traction will only be in the 1st, 2nd, (and maybe 3th gear). At this speeds you will need to do something strange to have injuries in nowadays F1 cars! Crashes like Alonso made in Brazil/Fuji were high speed crashes and were for sby laurent - F1
No TC will in no way cause severe accidents. This is because the lack of TC will only cause difficulties at lower speeds, where there is no risk at all these days. Maybe when it rains its another problem... but to me, it seems TC didn't help alot neither (Alonso in Fuji?)by laurent - F1
It has all to do with your concentration level, and especially your ability to drive in situations where there's a lack of. it's impossible to drive a full race 100% concentrated. Some guys will make mistakes when they are not on a high concentration level, others will drive further like a programmed robot. Maybe the fastest driver will make more mistakes when he isn't fullyby laurent - Other Motorsports
Funny!! Some people are allready trying to give Hamilton penalties to prevent him winning the champ... in his 1st year!! Just accept Hamilton is the best driver on the grid, together with Kimi Raikkonen. No other driver can match these 2.by laurent - F1
As someone stated before. The whole case has started with a Ferrari man. I think there are have happened more things we don't know about. That's very clear. Otherwise McLaren wouldn't be penalised at all Todt's comment on the penalty is really non-professional. How can he be 'happy' with the exclusion of McLaren, earning the championship in a complete rediculousby laurent - F1
someone noticed how much grip these cars have? With the wheel its so much easier!! I passed all tests from the 1st timeby laurent - Other Games
A question, I'm using the G25 wheel, but I can't use my pedals to drive the car *-) Does anybody know how to install them ?by laurent - Other Games
It has something to do with your lower lods yes. I remember there was a line where you can dissable those, I only can't remember where it was... maybe someone knows?by laurent - Grand Prix 4
@ Vizu: Your statement is 100% correct if the driver doesn't exceed the brake limits! For exemple, Felipe Massa spun off when applying the brakes too much in Bahrein 2006. This has "nothing to do" with putting the brake balance more to the rear!! 1) In the case of locking a rear tyre, you will loose it because you don't control this tyre(s) anymore. 2) In case of yby laurent - Grand Prix 4
No, I've never driven any formula car, I only do some karting competition. I think it's the most logical way to think F1 cars are more difficult under braking than GP4 In GP4 you just smash the brake pedal to the limit, and than you will slowly take away the braking strength till you are at the apex. You must do this to make sure your car will turn in, without locking your front/reby laurent - Grand Prix 4
you need to go to your configuration screen, go to the properties of your steering wheel, than go to setup. There must be something with seperate axis...by laurent - Grand Prix 4
Hi! I realise GP4 is abit too easy under braking compared to real life cars. This is why GP4 isn't a 100% simulation game upon me... Is there a way to tweak the brake physics so they will be more realistic? For exemple games like RF, GTR(2), GTL, GPL etc are MUCH more real! I would really enjoy to be forced to be more precise with the braking pedal...!!by laurent - Grand Prix 4
Bourdais will be quick from the beginning. He won't need to adapt to the non-TC style!!by laurent - F1
