F1 Wow, it's going to be tough, RBR have the backing financially to be able to develop their car at a greater pace, but of course THEY have the mountain to climb because not only of Brawn's points advantage, but also they're running out of fresh engines.
Button's got to up his game, he might have around 19 pts advantage over Vettel and 20.5 over Webber, but only 16 over Baric

Off-Topic To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to see Alonso at Renault next year, until Massa and/or Raikonenn's contact(s) at Ferrari expire. For some reason, it just seems that patience is the best option, instead of trying to buy out contracts.

F1 Yeah, for those of us in a European(ish) time zone, it WAS perfect having Australia first and Brazil last, i.e. the season started in the early morning and ended at night.
To be honest, I'm really not getting all that excited looking at this, yeah Montreal's back (good stuff there) and Hockenheim is back because of it's alternation with Nurburgring, but still, planting races in

F1 Locke Cole has got it spot on, so much of this depends on Massa, Kimi has said he has a contract for next year (and by him saying that, I assume he has no intention of going anywhere), so it may well come down to whether or not Massa will be racing next year.

F1 I would have liked to see USF1 try lure Montoya back. I think the only reason why he left in the first place is because he joined a team that was totally at odds with the way he liked to do things and it took a lot of passion for F1 out of him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I'd like to see him back out of any kind of nostalgia or anything, but the guy is a real racer and would

F1 What makes it worse is that it'll be USF1, Manor and Campos, they would in most likelihood be at the back of the grid anyway, and this is really not going to help.

F1 This weekend Formula 1 makes it's 12th stop of the season at the Spa Francorchamps circuit, home of the famous Eau Rouge corner. Brawn GP have proven that it's far from over for them, and McLaren have shown that Hamilton's win at Hungary was no fluke, which leaves Red Bull Racing with it all to do to keep themselves in the championship fight.

F1 Hmmmm, if the limit IS 4, then I'm beginning to see what the reasoning might have been.
(To the best of my memory) When the concorde agreement's final draft was being tabled, Renault was looking leery, wild (but unfounded) rumours were flying about Toyota as well, plus there might have been some inside knowledge of BMW's impending pullout.
So the FIA might have looked to ma

F1 Yeah, but to be honest, I really can't see him being #2 to Lewis, Kimi isn't an up-and-coming driver anymore, he's a former champ, so I doubt he'd accept anything like that.
I think there's an outside chance of a Kimi/Alonso direct swap.

F1 I've recently passed my 5 year mark here (6 Aug '04) and have 536 (not including this) so that's just over 100 posts a year, roughly 1 every 3-4 days.... not too bad.

Maybe.. but if the limits are indeed raised under the new agreement, then why would Brawn still have to get approval to continue running Merc engines?

F1 Vettel's pair of engine blowups on Saturday couldn't have come at a worse time for Renault, with any negotiations, that type of thing won't exactly inspire confidence..

Most of it's what we've been seeing so far, where the compound choices have been two compound immediately softer/harder than each other, but for Brazil and Japan they're introducing compounds with a gap, should be interesting to see how the performance goes.

F1 Great drive by Rubens, he did what he needed to do when he needed to do it, and got the job done.
Ferrari have a problem here, I'm not sure what the rules are regarding the amount of drivers in a season, but either way, to the best of my knowledge they can only use 1 more driver. Sure it was a noble gesture to give Badoer the drive, but it really hasn't worked out well, and if they r

F1 After the mid-year holiday, and a few small changes in the driver lineup, Formula one is back on the move and is in Valencia for the 2009 European Grand Prix. Even though Michael Schumacher won't be making his temporary comeback, local fans can look forward to watching Fernando Alonso after Renault's one race ban has been lifted.
