I have a dev version but it is not polished and there's a bug causing 1 object to collapse randomly without warning and that's not great :/ By the way in my real life, I moved to a new flat with new troubles, lost my job, I'm awaiting for a possible new one much further from home and I try tu study Linux to get that job. I also installed Windows 10 and I can't code with it soby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
You need to change your .tex wall texture settings. With TexResizer, you can either change format from DXT5 to DXT1 or simply change transparency mode from "full" to "none" and problem will be solved.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
You can't load a .tex file in GP4B. .tex files are only used by the game. Might be a reason for the errorsby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
vertically mirrored (top is at the bottom and bottom at the top ) ? only your new textures are mirrored ? if so, it might come from the program you used to create your .tga textures. So the best fix would be to save your .tga file with another program. You can "fix" it in GP4B by inverting mapping (select part with mirrored texture and under Mapping in the floating window, hit theby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
For the one side effect, it's normal. Default material is only 1 side. So if you want to see it from both sides, you just need to select a double sided material for this part. Concerning the texture, I don't know yet. Maybe a bad .tga format created from an unknown paint shop pro version that works even worst than ever... (PSP used to create weird .tga files in the past). Or maybeby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
@Turbo Lover : - The feature "Sort Car Objects" can't be chosen in the latest version. Already fixed for next version. - With creating track from dat the checkbox of uniform bank mapping is standard not checked anymore. might be checked by default, yes - Left pitwall is not visible anymore with the dat file and can't be created wth track from dat. Visibility is already fixeby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Are you speaking about car shadow ? If so, you can change default shadow texture which is in the RESOURCE folder of GP4. Or maybe there's a setting to force GP4 to cast the real mesh shadow in one of the config file (I'm not sure about this one)by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hi, did you place your custom .tga textures into the CamTexture folder next to TeamEditor.exe ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hmm, this automatic reflection is usualy done during wet weather conditions. It at least witnesses that base position of the object is not set correctly as for such flying objects, it should be set at ground altitude for reflection object to be generated properly as if mirrored. What's weird is that it would happen during sunny weather (or maybe your screens were taken during weather transby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Select the vertex, go to edit menu and choose Unweld. By default, vertices are shared by several faces. Using unweld copy the vertex to be independant for each face (despite being at the exact same place). Then click close to the vertex you want to move a bit Inside the face it belongs to and only the vertex from this face will move.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
I believe there was a missunderstanding concerning my words about in-game 2001 skins that could be claimed by FIA. I meant : GP4 has FIA official licence, so when you buy the game, FIA is retributed in some way for licenced material (official driver names, liveries and so on...) And thus that's why I wonder if we can share freely the game today as it would mean this official content woulby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Wow, that's what I call an investigation I asked for some help from some people that are close to video game development and they also told me licence might not be completely without owner, and possibly still hold by ATARI (whatever this society is today). We found no proof of it alas so far. Anyway, the people I asked told me he wanted to share another game with no clear owner left anby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
I just searched about possible remaining rights upon the game and I can't find any so far (I would be interested if someone knows the exact status of the game nowadays). @Nileblackflame : check your pmby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Alex, We started RealGPx together to confront our GP4 offline times and we made so many lans where you always drove faster than me... But time flies. You released some great mods and even some programs (with soime help :p). I wish you good luck for your "new" real life and I hope to see you again for real in a near future as we are only separated by a few kilometers.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
None of them. Sadly I don't remind if (and how) they can be edited.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
This is the Ultimate Guide to track editing v1.01 written by Tom Matthews It's quite dated (2006) but gives some good advices for Track Editing.by Lo2k - GP4 Misc
This guide tends to sum up the basics to know when you want to start modding GP4. It is far from perfect and is quite dated but can still be usefull when beginning. There's also a troubleshooting section at the end that gives answers to numerous common GP4 troubles.by Lo2k - GP4 Misc
This small guide explains what is texture mapping, what mapping coordinates mean and how to use them to repeat/ Mirror or crop textures on 3D geometry.by Lo2k - GP4 Misc
This tutorial was made by Duffer. It explains (in french) how to apply texture mapping in ZModeler.by Lo2k - GP4 Misc
This is the tutorial I wrote after I created F1 Virtual's Melbourne 2012 Track. It describes with numerous screenshots the different ways to enhance light and create track shadows using GP4Builder.by Lo2k - GP4 Misc
Beside desinstalling/deleting all GP4 remaining files and reinstalling GP4, you could also try to delete (keep a copy) the f1graphics.cfg file (and all f1graphics with any extension like .old or .bak if any). This way GP4 might do a new check of available hardware at next launch. It's just a guess as I can't test it actually.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4

I don't know if that's your case but note that game doesn't display jip mappings in pitlane until a specific flag. I don't remind wich one but it could be pitlane begin or fence begin. PS : I knew I wrote it down in the guide : "between the Pitlane Start (9B) and Pitlane End commands (9E)"by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
You might check if all the pitlane sectors are very close to 16 feet (sometimes, 0m long sectors can be created despite our attention)by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hi Klausfeldman, well, you use an outdated version of GP4Builder. Latest 2015 version has a better display of cfp file and support direct mouse interaction with "points" BUT... its useless because .cfp files are not used by the game. Indeed, game doesn't use .cfp files but generate flashes at the center of any CROWD class object. So you won't need to delete 1439 items afby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
