Like I say. I put one up [217.146.92.108]. It runs on a P4 3.0 with a gig of ram, and that connects directly into a 1000Mbit line. It should be very stable, and pretty good pings. (BTW the ingame ping is the average of the ping of the users on the server - hence all the 0s for empty servers) I'll have a look at that mod too matt, but for now I think F3 is the most popular?by bazza - Other Games
I don't really know if this is the right place to post, but that's not the point. My gaming clan have a dedicated server, and I could host an rFactor server easily. Would you guys want that? I could password it, or leave it open? A particular mod? Feedback please One is up at 217.146.92.108 Let me know of any desired changesby bazza - Other Games
Normally people who get sat down try and defend themselves rFactor is bloody good :D It's got me back into simracing. Been away playing FPS for the best part of 3 years now, and only ventured back now and then for a days play. I hope rFactor changes this, and for now, it seems like it will.by bazza - Other Games
That was quite comical actually. Much better than the PR releases we're used to from the other teams and drivers. Red Bull are really showing up some of the other teams with their PR work imoby bazza - F1

If I read this all correct. a) You can't go because you're too young, meaning you don't get to race Albers for free. b) You 'forget' your ID, and have to payby bazza - Off-Topic

It happened to Ferrari before as well. When I started watching F1 they weren't a force at all really. It's just a question of getting everything to come together. It's not happened at all for them, and I'm quite pleased =D I'm not a fan of the ways they have been run recently, and I think it's made the sport more interesting (exciting is too strong a word when cars sby bazza - F1
I just tried the demo out yesterday, and it's looking quite good. The only problem that I get is my wheel turns in to the corners, as if steering help is on. I've made sure it's off in my settings, and also I start a game, and make the rules 'no aids'. Turning off FF fixes the problem, but it means I don't get any FF, obviously.by bazza - Other Games
I do Computer and Electronic Systems, which deals with programming, software correctness and design, systems analysis, and other stuff from the software/programming side. If you wanted something purely programming based, or more specifically programming based, then your best bet is something like Software Engineering. I know a couple of places do Computer Games courses. Quite often you haveby bazza - Off-Topic
I agree. I know lots of people want the pinnacle of engineering and stuff like that, but you can see that elsewhere. Can't be bothered looking for who said it, but: Dragsters have better acceleration. Fighter Jets have better top speeds. You get more G-Forces in a space shuttle taking off. Good drivers (and F1 should be the best) don't need driving aids. Grannies (and Americanby bazza - F1

Wonder if steel brakes would help with overtaking. CART used to have plenty of overtaking when I watched it, but then it's not just down to the brakes.by bazza - F1
I've not really read the other replies but I'd take my Sony NW-HD3 over my girlfriends iPod any day of the week. The sound quality is comparable, that is true, other than that the iPod has pointless games, and not a lot else over it. The Sony has a much much better battery life (up to 30 hours, and certainly does 20 in mp3 format) It's much smaller (for the same size hard disc - 20by bazza - Off-Topic

I got some stuff using the faq, and a bit of the old googling. Got all the gplea cars, track updates from the link, plus monaco rocks. Managed to search and find gplcsm, got vroc, got it working, and went and took 30 seconds off my nurburgring time. I actually know which way the corners go now, so should be able to get under 9 minutes, and then down towards 8 and a half quite quicklyby bazza - Other Games

Hi everyone. I've had a bit more spare time over the past few days, and after playing some old Nurby on GT4 I want to get GPL back out. I've not been playing racing sims for at least a year or two, and hence my postings have disappeared from here . What do I need to patch it up? I searched, but I'm just getting a load of @#$%& from the big GT4 thread, and the GPL rank thread, soby bazza - Other Games
No snow in frickin' Glasgow! Am I missing something? I thought all that white stuff on Tuesday and Wednesday that was falling from the sky and then lying on the ground was snow. I must be going mad or something.by bazza - Off-Topic
Hello. Not been here for ages, but since I can help I might as well. See where your garage is: The purple dot. Go to your garage and then pretend you are exiting it. Turn right, and right again, then it's on your right on the curvy road - it's a body shop iirc. Bazby bazza - Off-Topic

And I know most of them have been posted above, but I thought I'd just say that they come recommended. Also check if you have a local store. I have one that is really good value, depending on what you want. Peripherals mainly are cheaper than the web-based companies. Buby bazza - Off-Topic
I know there are risks markko but there are risks in everything we do. Driving my car to work is a risk. I might crash and die. Walking to the shops is a risk. I might get run over and be paralised. I'm willing to take a risk to have good eyesight - once I'm older.by bazza - Off-Topic
That's like me, but my astigmatism is only very mild. So I'm just going to wait till I'm sure my eyes have stopped developing. My girlfriend's dad got it done a few years ago, and he thinks it's great; it would just make such a difference to not have to get up and put glasses or contact lenses on/in.by bazza - Off-Topic
Most people who are myopic or hyperopic have mild asigmatism. That's why a contact lens prescription does not match exactly the prescription for glasses for a lot of people. I think I'll get lazer surgery when I'm a bit older. 20 is too young. But when you think about the amount of money spent on sunglasses, glasses and contact lenses over the years it is very good value for monby bazza - Off-Topic
