Thanks, now I have a dat! That's great!by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
And I thought I could build a track with a 12 km long straight! That's the end of my dreams! Or I'll make a new version of GP4 Builder, but I have no idea how to do that. Everything I would have to do myself. This way I can't work, I'm sorry. We have 2014 now and it is still not possible to make a 8.3 km long track for GP4. I can't believe that.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
I think someone should bring out a new version of GP4 Builder soon, because I want to build Spa-Franchorchamps 1970 as well. But with that bloody black square... I don't want to talk about that again.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
As far as I remember the cc-line of the Ancient-Hockenheim track was completely inside the black square. And I rotated the circuit as far as I could, but it is simply impossible to bring it completely into the black square! So now, please tell me how I can delete sectors and insert new sectors between to other sectors somewhere on the track, because I'm not able to do that! Whenever I inserby TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
Now I have finished the layout. Here some pictures: Unfortunately it is not possible to make a cc-line outside the black square. GP4 Builder 1.0.6.1 is simply to small for the great circuit of Reims-Gueux. If nobody can give me a better version of GP4 Builder soon, I have to drop the project.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
I surely have the right scale! And in fact the track is too long to get it completely into the black square even though I moved the first sector. But that's not such bad because I have looked at the dat-file from Hockenheim 1968 today, there are two parts of the track outside the black square as well. And I don't want to reduce the track length. Never ever. I want to build a track withby TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
The circuit is a little bit to big for the black lines in GP4 Builder, they are surrounding only 2x2 kilometres. But what did you just say? I can resize the size? Tell me how to do this, I have no idea.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
@TheDarkListener: I already have seen the red preview. But I don't know how to change the location of the whole circuit. @EricMoinet: I know that the returning straight is much too long, but I have to build 1702 sectors, so some other track sectors are a bit too short. Thanks for the link, I will go on.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
Hello forum, after I have found nowhere a GP4 version from the historical race track of Reims-Gueux, I decided yesterday to build the track myself. The track is 8.302 kilometers long and has 1702 track sectors. A complete race will last for 50 laps. Unfortunately I'm a totally track building rookie and still wondering why I started to build a track. I should have finished the dat after worby TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
It was just a joke, but that would be really stylish tyres somewhere. By the way where is your stearing wheel in this pic? It's not connected with the car!by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
I want to have these stylish tyres too!by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
@TomMK: You are right, it works when using GPxTrack. I find this solution great and very simple because when choosing a dat-file in GPxTrack it even doesn't matter which wad- and dat-files are located in the GP4 main directory at the same time. And there is even the special loading screen for Pau Circuit in the game. @addie: Great work and great track!by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
It even crashes in slot 1! Oh no, what's that? Everything is called "pau2013"! I have no idea for which slot it is! The old one was in slot 10, I think I renamed the files to "magnycours2001". No I will try slot 1.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
I don't know, but it crashes. I will try it in slot 1 later, maybe it works there.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
These days I'm testing all GP4-tracks I have downloaded so far (they are quite many) to work out which tracks are faulty. When I'm not able to repair the respective track on my own I will ask here for help. If somebody else have a problem with a track then it can be posted in this post as well. So now, the first track crashing at loading screen is the street circuit of Pau, France. I foby TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
Thank you! By the way which track is this? Is it Monza?by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
Yes, they are there. But I can't see them in the game.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
Hello, I've got that problem (heading) which suddenly occured and I don't know how to fix it. The settings ingame are right however, and the checkmark for the GPx-displays in GPx-Patch is there. Can I download the displays somewhere? Thanks.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
Unbelievable! Can't wait for release!by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
I already installed GP4 Tweaker but there are 34 different options in it and I didn't see a numcars.ini anywhere!by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
@TomMK: Where is the "numcars.ini"-file located? I can't find it. @Atticus: It's ok, I'll try it with the magic data file of Hockenheim 2001. It fits to Hockenheim 1968 as well I think.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4

Thanks, I will try this out. By the way is it possible to create a magic data file where the cars can drive 400 km/h or even faster with the original performance-file of 2001?by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
Try it a few more times to start the game with GPxPatch. Sometimes it needs two or even three chances to load the game, I have this problem as well sometimes.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
Hello, I downloaded the track Hockenheim 1968 a few weeks ago and now I want to use it in slot 1 cause I'm afraid of a freezing error. Reduzing the number of laps is not the problem, but I don't know why the cars have a top speed of only 315 km/h (in the original slot 12 they have a top speed of 360 km/h or even more) with the same performance file. Is there a function in GP4Builder toby TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
You can change the drivers names somewhere in game at the options section. But it is easier to write a new performance-file and install it with GPx-Patch. You are even able to change the pace of the computer cars and the own car. This is an instruction for the performance files, it is in German language, but maybe it can help you:by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4

As far as I now the maximal track length is 20 km now. I hope it will be a bit more someday because I want to build a track with nearly 31 km in four or five years.by TGF1DRIVER - Grand Prix 4
