De Circuit Test-Track. My first track - after abandoning my 8Km modification of Spa - and its second test run. Who better to try out a track that probably wouldn't meet FIA standards, than a man who himself barely qualified for a Super-license before his debut. Jump on board and join the Iceman himself for a lap of the poetically named 'De Circuit Test-Track'. There areby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Oh I feel silly now! I've had the most recent version sitting in my downloads folder for ages and just never got around to using it! You're right, all works fine now. And I fixed my pit issue as well; I'd been forgetting to do 'Track from .dat' a second time for doing the pitlane. Everything is working great now, thanks so much.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
A couple of brilliant developments lately Rene - first the lap limit, and now this grip implementation - so thanks for both of those. Something I've wondered for a while; Would it be possible to implement an 'AI pits sometime after tyre wear reaches x level' option? At the moment, I think the AI only pits for damage or fuel? If they could be made to pit for just tyres, thaby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Ok so I tried it again and, though I still got the error when saving*, this time it finished saving after the error. *I took note of when the error came up; As the Saving dialog reached the end of 'Scene 4', which is the one I did Track from .dat in. I was then able to load the track successfully with the new .gp4 file so, whatever the reason for that error, it can't have beeby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Thanks guys, got that sorted. Next two issues: 1) If I test in game with just the modified .dat - i.e, no edits to the .gp4 file - it loads fine, but my car is upisde-down in the pitlane. 2) Following the user guide - which, had I checked yesterday, would have fixed my problem of joining the track - I went through the steps in Annexx 2.2 ('The GP4 File' but, when it came time toby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, So I'm giving track making another shot, but am being slightly less ambitious this time. I've taken the 2001 Spa layout and kept only the Bus-stop through to Eau Rouge-Raidillon; This way I've already got a pit-lane & start/finish line in place, as well as the best complex of corners in the world! After Raidillon is where I've started adding new track, andby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

Thanks to an unforeseen and entirely unavoidable error - I forgot to save - I had to start again from the point just before Alonso passed me before our respective stops. Events played out much the same - he came out about a second ahead, we came through the field - but in a much more civilised fashion; There was no crazy pass of Webber and Perez at turn 1, and Alonso and I didn't clash atby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

(I'm assuming it was meant to be Win 7? ) Are you running GP4 in 'Win XP SP 3' compatibility mode? That generally fixes most issues.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Update: Alonso came out of his stop about a second ahead and, together, we started coming through the field. There were a few hairy moments, like when we both passed Webber and Perez - who were fighting each other - at turn 1, and when me and Alonso nearly collided at turn 4 when he ran deep and I tried for a gap that probably wasn't there. Hi all, So, I've had a Loose Wheel for about five laps of Interlagos and was wondering if I can expect it to fall off? I'm still holding onto 1st at the moment - it's really only affecting me on the start/finish straight (acceleration is the issue) - and have got about 25-30 laps until my first and only scheduled stop. Is there a rule of thumb for when a Loose Wheel is supby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

Don't see why not. GP4 Builder can export to .3DS, which can be imported into most modelling programs. From there, it shouldn't be an issue to get the model into whatever format the printer needs.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

Ok, I'll try and walk you through it: From the main Pinnacle window: 1) In the top right of the window, click 'Game Profiles'. 2) On the window that appears, click 'New'. 3) Then, on the next window, browse for your GP4.exe. 4) On the 'Advanced' tab, in the lower left, install the 'Hook' and click 'OK' and then 'OK' aby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
I had to Google that wheel to know what you were talking about, and I want to say "Damn that thing looks amazing!" As for your issue, I think it is similar to the problem GP4 has with the Triggers on Xbox 360 controller. Have a look in the slipstream.ini Tweaker file. My understanding of it is that it allows you to modify the Front Grip, Rear Grip and Drag of a car that is in the Slipstream. Best guess would be to play around with the Drag section of that, change some numbers and see what happens. Also, I think you could reduce the 'Dirty Air' effect by changing the values in the Front and Rearby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
