If the changes in GPxPatch do not work (don't they? really? Never heard about that. Did you press "save" in the textdocument after change?), then the only way to get the brakes back to 'y' is reinstalling GP4 in german version . EDIT: Oh yes, if you want to change the brakes back to 'Y' on your (i guess) german keyboard but keep the english GP4-version as welby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Nice to hear that, I hope you're right M.R.! It would be great to have that layout at last.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Great to hear that . But what about the lost bahrain 2010 track layout? Are there any hopes it'll be released public some day? Does someone know about it?by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4

Does the game crash, or does it load with the wrong textures? - If it crashes, there has to be something wrong with the filenames. moving to magny cours all filenamesby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
I can't believe too, but I had to xD. Renaming the .tex files as M.R. told you would have lead to a disaster - sorry M.R.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
klausfeldmann's tutorial for moving a track into another slot: 1. Best is to copy your track into an own directory. Backup your files before starting work! 2. Open your track2001.wad with easywad by ZAZ. It should look like that: 3. Then go in your open .wad to maps/2001 directory. 4. Now change the names of all files those include the name of the track - EXCEPT the .tex-filesby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
No, it isn't. But M.R.'s answer seems to be a bit unprecisely! Please do not start your work allready! Please give me a minute to explain, how it works. That does not take long .by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
When you see these untextured pics and know right away which circuit it is, it's quite a realistic modeling --> very good . Keep it up!by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Once there appeared a massive black-hole and swallow up all the works of 2010 . Just look at bahrain 2010. There are sadly just a very few people having that track. So, there are not many 2010er tracks, and if so, they are most often only in private . Very sad. EDIT: Just saw that I have Spa 2010, but I don't know where I got that track. Just google for it or contact the authors: drt0by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for this short education in Eau Rouge history . My favourite version is that from 1995 - 1998 with gravel traps and without run-off at the inside. I'm building exactly this old Eau Rouge at the moment and - I admit - I was a little bit disappointed to see your spa version beeing released before mine will be (hopefully at thursday) .by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for this track! Great to see still new tracks beeing released for GP4. @ Atticus: Do you know why they streched Eau Rouge after 1979? I mead, this made that corner much more dangerous than it was before...by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Of course in Hockenheim 1968 there were no fences in the wodden part of the circuit, but simply because the GP4 engine does not allow to have no fence ("gates" often lead to weird effects) earlier or later you have to place fences. For my part I like these rusty fences although they may are historicly not quite correct. It would be so great to collision objects inside the fences...by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
I'll write you a pm in a minuteby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4

@ neilcaine: Nice to meet U here, mate ! Thanks for your answer. Sadly this is one of the things I allready tried to fix the bug, but it still doesn't work. In the meantime i did some more research with a better camset: It seems as if the texture is only visible when the player's car is more than approximately 200m behind this texture in track direction, hm... Here are for a bettby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Hey, at the moment I sadly do have a texture problem: I tried to make a new grandstand, so I copied the fans of an existing one to the new location and renamed them, but the are not visible ingame, even during a race! I tried so many things, even making CROWD to MISCTSO and deleting "FULL" in the name, but they are still invisible, except from a TV cam far away, they are sudenly appby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Hm, never heard about that. But could it have something to do with not-unchecking the audio option before converting to .bik?by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
As if Piranema, Pasargada, AMS and Uqbar weren't great enough, they come up again with a new promising layout. Thaks you so much for all these tracks!by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Okay, done. Just checked how the batch processing with SlimTex works xD. Thanks to Laurentby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Hey, I've got a question - probably at Laurent - When I try to convert some .tex (here from Abu Dhabi 2011 track) to .tga with TexResizer it suddenly break down and shows a french error message: What can I do to avoid this? Thanks for helpby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
@ Ricardo: Our pleasure, mate . @ Laurent: Wow, thanks for your statement to disappearing objects. That should become a part of the builders guide, section troubleshooting !by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Probably it was discussed in the 135 pages before, but so what. To your problem: Well, I guess you allready did the standard procedure at these issues (Lo2K: - Some track objects are or become invisible : After you checked that Clipping Distance for these objects were fine, you can try to fix most troubles by going into Action Menu. Using Fix Parts to object links and then Recover lost partsby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Well, I just decided in this affair. Although my claims do not allways require adding my names in the credits, i think it would be great (because easier) to have as much modders names in the list as possible. So please add my name to the list. Thanks. Of course I haven't released anything so far but i have something up my sleeve.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
mangrove schrieb: ------------------------------------------------------- > if Jorge Caranti could have this humble attitude, > sad to say, he feels his bigger than GP4. Surely these permissions are greatly humble and I totally agree with your opinion. But please dont add oil to the fire by opening a comparison to other people. That won't make any good except keep still argueing.by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
@TurboLover: A released template would be great, espeacally a basic pitbuilding . kedy89 schrieb: ------------------------------------------------------- > That would be great! Just found a site regarding to this topic telling about some more tracks available in street view: Have a look!by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Turbo Lover schrieb: ------------------------------------------------------- > Move the yellow man to the track surface and you > will get the street view. Oh thanks, good to know that I was just to behind to handle the street view xD. Hopefully this feature will be available for mor tracks soon Would be great!by klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
Wow. Thanks for sharing this innovation in real track editing . But how did you get into the google street view feature?? I searched myself for silverstone, but found no button for the street viewby klausfeldmann - Grand Prix 4
