I'm not a software expert like Rene is one, but from my long time practical GP4 racing experience I agree - game weather can be as little influenced as in realityby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, that's completely rightby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
Many thanks for your good advice... seems to work... looks much better nowby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
just for an example: Magny Cours 1993: I focus the leading car on the long straight and the 4 following cars liveries switch from correct painting to black alternately in short intervalls etc. Or I am driving myself (cockpit view) and on the grid the next car in front of mine is o.k., but the second and third next cars show different colours from the ones they should have...by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
odd problem: in some mods (played via CSM) only the selected car plus some of the cars behind are clearly visible, the cars near the selected one change colours resp. appear flickering, in cockpit view I suffer the same problem, i. e. some of the cars in front of me change their appearance (unfortunately I'm not always in the lead, haha...) - are my graphic settings inappropriate or what? merci Bernard Je pensais que quelque chose comme ça - I already thought about something like that and actually found out with the friendly help of rracunis that the car in question has a corrupt order of objects... Unfortunately I'm too dumb to correct it even if I use the tutorial (which I don't fully understand ). Can you help if I send you the car file? with my best regards Kaby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
Hi Rene just another crash after I put a new car into the game (via wadupdater). As I hold you high as a source for useful advise I'd rather ask you if you can find out what is wrong with the cars *.gp4 file... ? best wishes and thanks in advance Karlby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
well, I think that was it - I solved the problem creating a mclaren_tread_0_right_0 and so on, put it in the tyres-folder of the mod and it worked fine - thank you mateby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
yes, I use a *.txt file where I define also the tyres to use - it always worked fine so far... ?by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
it occured for the first time after installing a fresh GP4...by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
I just found out that the white treads only appear on cars that use the "wheel_mclaren_0"...by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
also for me now with a fresh GP4 installation - I think I must have set some parameters wrong unknowingly in the former version... Thanks for your notice anywayby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
so I did and so far the problem seems to be solved... many thanks for your support, Reneby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
after implementing a mod in the newly installed GP4 I discover at once white tyre treads.. how to get rid of them resp. turn them to black ("paint it black" - the rolling stones - one of my favourite songs ).by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
solved - I just forgot to adjust the key bindings - bug must have been in my own brain but not in the game, haha...by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
as a long time player of this wonderful game I'm well aware of certain bugs, most of them solved sooner or later. But today I experienced a surprising new one (new for me): I reinstalled the game as some times before from the once acquired disk and... oh wonder this time it acts strange when I'm trying to change the setup of the car i. e. it doesn't let me switch to setup functionby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
another one: warmup with porsche 996 biturbo cup 4x2-mod (meteoro) on norisring trackpack dtm 2005...by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
I'm using CSM with different mods, most of them provided by Meteoro405...by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
hm... problem with the cockpit... please excuse my ignorance but I don't understand what you exactly mean with customizing it...by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
due to other priorities I had no time for GP4 for a while but finally I did like you told me (set verbosity to high and let it crash again) and here's the result... Would rather like to make more than 2 setup changes before the game crashesby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
not exactly what you asked for but maybe helpful though...by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
merci beaucoup, Excalibur! This is exactly what I was hoping for - I will try it out as soon as possible... thanks again and best regards from snowy(!) upper Styria Karlby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
Imagine how happy I was, when I saw the outcome of my work: I imported a *.gp4 file into ZModeler, modified the shape moderately albeit successfully and exported it as *.gp4, put it into the game and off I went. As you canny and experienced car modders already know, there was no texture on the car. Right . So I went back to ZModeler and here I am, not knowing how to handle the program feature Mby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
thanks, soulbringer: I could not find the tiny box you mention - could you please make a screenshot of zm - I'm thinking in picturesby huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
I use GP4Phys to define my cars performance...by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
why not altering the other cars performance until they are equally fast (that's the way I go...)by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
Am I getting too old or is it, like my grandmother always said, "born stupid and nothing learned remains stupid..."? : My modified car remains shining white... I suppose I didn't manage the texture issue correctly: I converted all textures of the car- and shared-folder to *.tga (via Tex Resizer). Then I loaded the *.gp4-file to zmodeler and modified the shape. Next I loaded all *.by huskyman49 - Grand Prix 4
