Whatever you did, it also improved the tyres a lot! They're looking really neat in this new setting.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

I'd say that's -100 points as penalty for you!!! Although ... that'd mean we had accumulated about -10.000 points for late perfs ... so maybe ... yeah ... we should just forget about it ... yeah let's forget about it!by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Some of them are available for download as full CSM mods at the GPGSL Main Thread. Just scroll a bit down in the first post. However, they only start from season 5. Dunno if there still exist mods for season 1-4.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Good to see that, finally, someone's finishing off this project! Kudos, Tobi. May I ask what's the average rendering time for those shots? And I agree, that S3 Phoenix render is top notch quality!by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Soooo close, again soooo close! When I saw the pope's white smoke, I already thought it could only be us ... but nooo ... a friggin puncture must stop Matteo. So sorry man, you fought so hard for it and in the end could only sit and watch it all go down. On the other hand, I'm so extremely happy with Gigi's performance, you rocked it! Belated happy new year to all of you. 8th and 10th in qualifying is decent, but now we need a haul of paunts to get back on track for the rest of the season, so not too much risk out there. My own pace in the FP wasn't the best again. But meh, as long as the car suits my main drivers better than me, I can live with it.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Off to some much needed holiday vacation. (Early) Merry Christmas to everybody. See you next year.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Quite a disappointment for us indeed. Gigi seems to have damaged his front wing a bit at this run off the track. And it was expected that he'd need some acclimatisation time after his longer absence from racing. Quali and race are two things indeed. Keep up mate, the coolness will return rather sooner than later. Sorry to Matteo for the engine damage. But I must say, I'll rather takeby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
9th and 14th isn't quite what I was hoping for with a team boost but it's decent nonetheless. Very good first outing by Gigi Silvestre. Hoping for some good points, mate. Matteo will need a really good race to snatch some points, but it's not impossible. Let's hope the setup favors the race pace more.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
The silly season is on! Like ... really now!by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, well ... the Weather God wasn't in favor of me this time, but that's how the game goes. At least I got some extra coverage time at the end of the first stint, yay! I think, Gianluigi's lap was also compromised by worsening conditions, so no real data on his actual pace either. Matteo did a good job, at least. Would be nice to see a slightly better result at the end of theby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

I totally agree that RL is always first and I wish you all the best for the future, Michael. Unfortunately, this brings MTP in a difficult situation. I'm in the middle of arranging a second race driver for MTP and hope that I'll be able to present a result in the coming days. /addition: Days are short these days! Well done Tobi, that's indeed a good progress. I might have to go and search for the 'delete doubles' equivalent in C4D or have a look in Blenderby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
I, personally, like this Red-Bull like shape with a lot of reflection, but it really depends on the car scheme and color mix. I've never worked with Blender, so maybe what I'm thinking of is the 'smoothing' you mentioned, but in C4D, when you create the reflection with specular maps, you have an option to blur it. The downside is that blurring massively raises render time, othby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

Matteo!!!by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
MTP team radio to Scala: "Matteo, are you ok? Please confirm you're ok!" MTP team radio to Soutsen: "Michael, didn't look like too hard an impact, but you're ok as well? Stop the engine and be careful when you get out of the car." Nightmare race for MTP. Matteo's accident was visibly his own fault, for Michael it's hard to say what happened.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Top effort by both Matteo and Michael! I'm very happy with this qualifying, boys! Hopefully we can convert it in a bunch of points in the race.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
I'll really have to reconsider my new nickname ... maybe Slow-Mo-Man would fit better ... At least Matteo seems to be set for the qualifying and congrats to Maikel for a very solid drive.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

But we need to accept that not everybody still interested in GP4 is interested in participating in an AI-driven league. Just as not everybody still participating in the league is still an avid GP4 playerby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Right, I mixed up SMS and Alpha (sorry for that, with all those changes it's becoming quite confusing). And your post explains why I didn't have his retirement on the radar, however, this is from an IM I got from Alessandro yesterday: "In my last post I said I wanted to retire from the league. Well, I want to retire. Simply put, I've lost interest." This is pretby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
I'm sort of with Tobi here. Both the driver and the team owner don't have any advantage in testing for another team. The driver does not get extra points, the team owner does not have a replacement option if one of his main drivers is demoted. There is no rule against it, but I don't quite see the point of it either. Also, Alessandro is still in the perfs as test driver for Sby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

I'm also fine with Maikel's suggestions, at least unless we continue to lose another bunch of members by the boot. But for the moment it sounds like a very good compromise. I only disagree with one point. Team owners stepping up into race seats not getting perf points is equally unfair. If they test, they can collect perf points. If they have to step up because there are simply no testby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
