Found in http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/ How the new power units perform over a lap The demands on the different parts of the power unit will vary over the course of a lap. Flat-out, the engine will be draining its tank and the turbocharge spinning at up to 100,000rpm. Meanwhile the Motor Generator Unit – Heat (MGU-H) will be recovering energy from the hot waste gasses and transferring thatby gitanes - Grand Prix 4
I must agree, that the base is an accurate power-torque-curve, which must be based on a horse power figure close to reality (Renault has announced a figure of 760 bhp, rumors say Mercedes has more, so perhaps 780-800 bhp at 15000 U/min would be realistic?). I think, we should agree on a figure to use in all components (torque, physics and performances), to achieve the best results.by gitanes - Grand Prix 4
The lap times in Jerez can be thrown to the toilet. Everybody was just trying to just check their systems and put their cars together, nobody did a "quali" lap, they probably weren't even running at full revs. What i mean is, calibrating the physics on that numbers is totally wrong, so we can't use Jerez as a test track. I believe, we will have some decent data after the seconby gitanes - Grand Prix 4
Some thoughts in preparation of the 2014 season: all of the sources i have tend to the assumption that the new power-trains (engine+ERS) will have about the same horse power as the V8s, therefore i plan not to change the figures in the performance files. But the torque characteristics is going to be totally different, so we need someone to make a brand new V6T.cap (this is an appropriate name, iby gitanes - Grand Prix 4
I am truly and deeply sorry, that the season performance files are not yet 100% ready! (I'm just needing Briere to release his sounds first )by gitanes - Grand Prix 4

If the computer crashes playing a CSM mod, then CSM hasn't restored the files to their original states! In this case, the cars.wad, anim.wad and the track files in the main GP4 directory are the ones updated by CSM, thats why you get the mod even without starting CSM! If you haven't messed around with those files, there is a simple fix for that: start CSM, select the mode and you wilby gitanes - Grand Prix 4

I made some changes to the performance files: Now Ferrari, Benetton and Ligier have one type of tire, McLaren and Footwork have the McLaren type, and all the rest share a common type. Also Benetton and Jordan got a 7 gear gearbox!by gitanes - Grand Prix 4

very important: GP4 will have to run at least once (and calibrate graphics) before installing gpxpatch and/or zaztools!! to achieve that in win7 you have to run gp4.exe in compatibility mode WinXP-SP3 (right click on the exe, select properties)! after running the graphics setup in gp4, quit it, install gpxpatch and select the same compatibility mode for gpxpatch.exe! zaztools do not needby gitanes - Grand Prix 4

@clebepister you have to "split" your mod in parts! First of all, you need a copy of your mod directory. The commonly most space consuming part of a mod are the cars, so go to the original mod folder and delete the contents of the data/cars folder. Export the mod (.cuh). Then go to the copied mod and delete all the contents of the data/* folders retaining its structure and, of coursby gitanes - Grand Prix 4
