Here 's the installation order I use and has always worked fine: - Grand Prix 4 (original 2002 game) - Grand Prix 4 Official Patch 9.6 - GPxPatch 3.9.3.1 - Decrypted GP4.exe (version 1.02) Some months ago I packed in a rar file, a STAND-ALONE GP4 INSTALLATION ready to use as is. It contains all the above and has some configuration files removed. Once extracted I run once to calibby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
@ TeamBPR: Having made some cc-lines I have noticed that best way to treat difficult and close corners for faster and smoother driving, is making 2 sectors, 1 entering corner and ending on the apex and one starting on the apex and exiting the corner. Both sectors have 2 radius like this: Entering sector starts with large radius1 and continues with smaller radius2. This choice makes AI carsby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
GP4 uses only one core and its performance depends directly on CPU clock speed. The higher the GHz, the better. That's why it runs better in a system with core-i5@3.2GHz than with quad@2.5GHz (keeping GPU and all other hardware the same).by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
rmfarey, make sure in GPxPatch that you enable the use of the dat with the modified magic data. otherwise, wait a few days - until I release 2010 Montreal magic data.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4

ooleeeo, I have made only for 2008, -09, -10. In 2007 I used marianodc's physics, available here: physics are included in the performance set. In case you drive non-CSM mods, send me a PM.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
@ Fergy: If you have installed - activated EVERYTHING as required, it's a matter of magic data. Track you use has probably too much grip and/or too low air resistance. It's something common with latest tracks, authors use much higher grip than in original GP4... Anyway, you can trim yourself the top speed and lap times - it's all explained in the "how to install" (docby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4

In slippery circuits I suggest using soft suspensions (e.g. front 900 - rear 700) but keeping hard anti-roll settings (e.g. front 3000 - rear 300). It works well, at least at dry conditions. To avoid oversteering => loosing the tail, I set deccel differential to 5 or 6 and deccel input power to 7, 8 or even 9, depending on the track.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
@ SchueyFan: I will make a setup for public use. But it has to be a representative one - a setup that would be a nice base to work on and make versions for different circuits. It will take some time as it's not a priority now, but I 'll do it. @ skyline86 Making magic datas for all 2010 tracks needs days of editing and testing. I say "days" because testing requires to dby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
I finished work on some files to simulate the running of 2010 F1 cars. The pack contains physics, torques (CSM and non-CSM versions) and a magic data file for Melbourne. Files were developed and fine-tuned based on onboard videos of real pole laps. Get the pack from my signature and have nice -driving- times... @ jucksman: You said it just right. Only with a wheel and pedals you may try not to lock the wheels. With keyboard you may apply only 100% or 0% braking.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
Front tyres locking is not a bug but just the result of another finely simulated element of GP4: BRAKING. In real F1, under braking, as speed decreases, downforce decreases too and front tyres get to lock. So drivers start braking with applying full pressure -100%- on pedal and towards the end of braking action, they lift off little by little the foot from the pedal to avoid locking the frontby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
skyline86 Wrote: -------------------------------------------------- > I play GP4 with logitech momo racing wheel. > Does it need cc-lines? What is cc-lines? > Does it affect AIs? cc-lines are the racing lines around the track. AI cars drive exactly on the cc-lines. Human players also drive MAINLY on cc-lines and keyboard users are more affected than those driving with a wheel,by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4

What you read about the sound settings is something I 've noticed once. If you 're using a modded sound set replace it with the original one to verify that it's not the cause of the problem.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
Reading your post made me remember that a friend of mine had the same problem a couple of years ago. It prooved to be the operation of Norton Antivirus that every here and then was using very much of the CPU potential and the ingame PO was raised above 600. He switched to another antivirus and the problem went away. I just thought it could be something like that.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
Definitely YES!!! Next years, with fights of hamilton, raikkonen, massa and button - should be even more interesting... Nice idea to play like this with grid statistics.by Cyberacer - F1
Make sure you follow exactly the installation procedure described in the "CCES Read me.txt" file. I copy here the installation steps to bring some issues to your attention: - install GP4 - install official patch (=extract in a new folder and RUN the SETUP.EXE - DON'T COPY FILES over your GP4 installation folder) - install gpx patch 3.9.3.1. Nothing - no new rules are needed. Todays F1 is struggling due to lack of engine power. Today good cars are always fast and bad cars are always slow, no matter how good is the driver onboard. Bring MORE ENGINE POWER to F1, to allow drivers show their real abilities. After 2004, the effects of power reduction from V10 to V8 engines were not so severe due to the downforce levels that not only wby Cyberacer - F1
