Thanks Steven, That's solved my problem. What a superb set of utilities! I've been enjoying setting strategies that make it much more challenging for me to compete against. Grand Prix 4 is superb when we can set it up to match our skills levels and the parameters of the cars and the races so that we can have really great races. Thanks again, Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
How do I check that please, Tony? When I first installed Steven's 2004 season, the length of the races in the GP4Tweaker file was set at about a quarter-to-half of the full race distance, similarly in Race Options in the game. I changed the settings in GP4 Tweaker to Default, and in the game to 100% race distance, but it seems as if the CC cars haven't changed their fuel loads and arby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
Hi, Please can anyone answer this question? I'm racing the 2004 season, a download that Bigbrother sent me last year. The problem I have is that in races, the CC cars all pull in for pitstops at 10%-15% of the race distance. For example, in Barcelona, a 65-lap race, the CC cars all pit between lap 6 and lap 9, while the player car doesn't need to pit until lap 23. If I let the raceby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I can't find the download for csm 1.25.45 on the site, only an older version. Please can anyone tell me where it is? Thanks, Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
My favourites are Barcelona, Imola, Sepang and Adelaide. I live in Manchester, UKby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
In that video, all the smoke streaming off the rear tyres as they pull away from the start is cringe-worthy. Real F1 cars have traction control that means the wheelspin Sony show so proudly just doesn't happen!by paulhackettevans - Other Games
The best thing about GP4 is that you can have fantastic races with it at any level from complete rookie to ace. The updated cars and tracks keep it relevant to today, while all the performance tools that are available make it poosible to be the F1 game you really want it to be. The only thing that could improve on it would be state-of-the-art graphics and sounds. Sony's F1 games just arenby paulhackettevans - Other Games
No matter what they look like, Sony's F1 games have always been unplayable. That's despite there having been some nice racing games for the PS2 and PSP. For me, nothing compares with GP4. That's why I'd love Microsoft to sign up Geoff Crammond to write a new Grand Prix game for the PC and X-Box 360. It would be terrific!by paulhackettevans - Other Games
Got it now, thanks Jürgen. Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
me, too, please! paul@hackett-evans.fsnet.co.uk Thanks!by paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
I bought it on the day of its release in the UK, having been a GP3 fan before that, and I have played it ever since. I only discovered this community about a year ago and it's really kept the game alive for me. None of the other F1 games comes close, especially the disappointing Sony ones. Microsoft have been actively signing up some very skilled game designers for the X-Box 360. What Iby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4

You need B-Tone's 2005 mod. It's been under constant development through the year and is now complete. It just needs the next version of Carset Manager to be able to use it. Once the new CSM is available for release, Tony will release the 2005 mod and all your wishes will be granted! Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
Try increasing the resolution of your graphics settings in GP4 to high. I had white cars until I did this. Good luck. Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
That video's really good! Just for interest, here's a link to another game modification trailer that I love - can't wait for this to be released, as well as GP4 2005! Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4

Is there any software that came with it? Maybe you need to install and run it to set up your wheel and brakes. If not, try the Windows Control Panel icon for games controllers and see if there's an option or a setup there that makes it work. Also, I think there are options in GP4's contollers settings pages that you might need to adjust to set up the game to recognise your wheel andby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4

Sony has exclusive rights to producing Formula 1 games for a few years. I've tried the Sony F1 games from 2005 and 2004 for the PS2, they're both terrible in comparison to GP4 if it's kept updated via this community. There are plenty of driving games around, but only GP4 is worth pursuing for a great Formula 1 simulation. GP4 rocks!by paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
A word of caution - Force feedback wheels might enhance the simulation for some people, but they are becoming increasingly recognised as a contributor to repetitive strain injuries (RSI) of the wrist and elbow. Along with excessive keyboard use, the resistance and loading that force feedback puts onto the tendons, ligaments, nerves and delicate structures in your wrist can lead to carpal tunneby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
Have patience, guys! I'm sure we're all keen to have the 2005 mod, but remember Tony's got a life, too! He'll release it when he's able to!by paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
I have a Soundblaster Audigy Player, I have no problems at all with the sound on GP4. I simply installed the Audigy with all standard settings and everything was fine from the start. I don't know how you can be having a problem with it.by paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
I think it's very unlikely that there will be a Grand Prix 5. This is because sadly Bernie Ecclestone's company which controls the rights to all Formula 1 products and licences sold the license to produce F1 computer games exclusively to Sony until 2007. So Geoff Crammond's Simergy could not go ahead with any such project. Sadly, that meant the end of Simergy and no more Grand Prixby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
Hi, HMV has it in stock in their Manchester store. You may find it in your local branch if it's a big one. Their website has it listed, but quotes a 3 week delivery time. There are also 5 copies currently on sale on Ebay.co.uk. Good luck in buying a copy - remember to download the updates and everything else for it from the contributors to this site! Enjoy! Tony, Will this still give us the availability of differently updated/liveried cars for relvant races, e.g. the "Star Wars" Red Bulls at Monaco?? How about including the new and updated tracks, too? Thanks for all your work on this, it's very much appreciated! Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4

Actually, I'm just about to buy a new graphics card as the fan jammed on my old one and it burnt itself out. I bought a £20 cheap ATI card just to keep my PC alive until payday. What would you all suggest I get as a GOOD graphics card to play GP4 with the best frame rate and resolution? I had a Gainward GeForce 4MX 128Meg card, it was good. But I have no allegiance to Nvidia or ATI cardsby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
This has always been possible in the Car Setup menus of GP4. You can select gear ratios and activate 7th gear, change most of the parameters that are adjustable in real car setups, and save your setups for as many variations and tracks as you like. Have a go for yourself, you might come up with sets of ratios that you like. Enjoy! Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
One of my favourute F1 cars was the March 721, I think it was from 1972, but I'd love to see it in GP4. Here's a link to the only picture I can find on the web....unless you know better? Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
It looks great! How do I install and use it without erasing existing tracks please? Paulby paulhackettevans - Grand Prix 4
