Oops sorry Shep, forgot to update the event description - it's Shanghai 2011 - see the downloads / hotlaps folderby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Round 3 Shanghai OK, going for it this weekend, got my Mercedes out. I'm going for a podium. Who's going to stop me?by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Yep I would suggest playing with those 2 MD values and see what results you get.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Round 2 Results - Bahrain 2 from 2 for Jorge - can anyone stop him?! A really great lap by NicoH in the Force India for 2nd place, and well done shep for bagging your first podium of the season! I must thank everyone for participating and contributing very useful feedback on the mod, it is really helping me calibrate the performance to real-life very accurately. I will release an update befby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Shame it turned out like that - I recommend to try older versions of Builder, I find 1.841 best for my uses and more stable than new versions, so I never upgrade anymore.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
If you're using GPxTrack (which I recommend), then you either need the .slc file in the same folder as the .dat, or the startinglights values in the .ini file. My preference is the .ini values. For the original 17 tracks you can find those values in gpxpdata\tracks\gp4\by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Amazing - thanks Jorge! This can be used in conjunction with our hotlap competition for those participating in the current Bahrain Hotlap Event. Head to GP4Central to join in!by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Notice: Could everyone please re-download the Sakhir track, there was a bug in the original .dat file, sorry!by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Remember kerbs do not count as part of the track, so even if you just run all 4 wheels up on the kerb your lap will be invalid. You have to actually stay inside the tarmac at all times. I'll download your lap and see if I can find where you allegedly went off.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
@viking75 - I made a version of GP4 that includes GP4 Tweaker pre-installed. Try this and see if it works for you.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Did it say you went off track, or was there some other error?by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Love the new 2019 screens, thank you!by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Round 2 at Sakhir, Bahrain will open today. Right now I'm having yet more issues with the host so I'm going to move the site to a new host and then open the hotlap round. Should take a few more hours, stay tuned and sorry for the delay.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
End of round 1 and well done to Jorge on taking the first win of the season with a really fast lap in the Toro Rosso Gold medal to you! Silver medal goes to NicoH, and J.L.M. completes the podium with the Bronze medal. I thought my tactic of going hard with the Ferrari early in the season might score me a podium but I am up against a seriously competitive field, which is great! Next uby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
OK, all good feedback points thanks VilleV. 1) I will try to make it more clear that the player must obtain the .wad file separately. 2) Good advice on the performance file, I'll try to make that more clear. 3) Press shift+backspace while driving. Nothing will happen. But later if you press just backspace your car will go back to the location where you pressed shift+backspace.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Can I ask what version of Tweaker is that - and where did you download it? I ask because there are a few different versions out there and the answer depends which one you have.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
We're back online, so hotlaps can be uploaded again now. If we have any further outages I will extend the event but for now we'll keep to the original schedule.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
You can still do your laps and upload later. My host apparently suffered a DOS attack and our server is still being impacted. If it continues much longer I will extend the Melbourne event to Thursday 28-Mar to allow time for more hotlaps to be uploaded.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
To me it looks like a bug in the mod (possibly related to the wheels?), so best to ask this question over at GP4Forever.com I think.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
No need to be snarky. Have you asked the author of the mod? Do you have the same issue with the original game, or other mods? Have you upgraded GPxPatch to the latest 4.52?by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
In f1graphics.cfg set the first value on line 1 to "1" and then set your monitors resolution on lines 2 and 3, like this: 1 ; f1graphics.cfg controls all settings (default 0) 1600 ; Game 3D Horizontal Resolution 900 ; Game 3D Vertical Resolutionby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Website host is unstable (again) this weekend, if it impacts you uploading a lap just post here and I will assist.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Hi VilleV, OK I'll remove the #7 lap, no problem. You set your reset point by pressing Shift+Backspace. To set it in a new place, just press Shift+Backspace again. Try to set the point before you reach the gridlines (at least 100m before the start line). Don't change any settings in GPxSet. The mod uses a custom performance file, physics and torque settings and these should not beby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Why not just keep using the GP4 Central version?by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Just use my pre-patched, updated version of GP4 available here:by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Halfway stage at the Australian GP event. Jorge leads in the Toro Rosso - that laptime 1:21.145 is a fraction ahead of the real-life pole laptime (Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes) so that's a cracking effort! . Looks like it will be a close event, and there's still plenty of time to join in if you're considering it, just download the CSM Mod and Track and upload your hotlap file, itby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
