Wow, I just checked if the TRD 3 tracks are real and they are! Apparently, Codies created them using GPS data, just like GP4, so count me in in downloads, if anybody converts some of them. EDIT: Well, not all of them are accurate, looking at gameplay videos. Brands Hatch is a big no-no, for example, it's too wide and shows the pre-1999 Graham Hill Bend with the post-2003 Sheene's curby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
Hi lokidan, it's amazing to see such enthusiasm for this game. The stock AI is great and, in fact, it's not modified that much since 2002, AFAIK, it's pretty hardcoded. Stock physics is also good - for the early 2000s' cars. There are numerous new physics files around, ask phantaman, he's the expert on the topic around here. Have fun!by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

Here it is as promised. (Hah, I was finally able to keep a deadline, haha - more or less.) Predictably, I wasn't able to finish the job on the kerbs in time so a 1.1 update is now likely some time in the future. It could be labelled a 1.01 as it's such a small detail. As the F1 calendar gets more and more homogenised or low-speed tracks, it is looking like a bigger and bigger mistake each year that the old Hockenheimring was torn up and not left standing to age as gracefully as, say, the Monza oval. (Surely those trees could have been planted 5km away, on the edge of the forest...) Autosport latched onto the topic a few days ago as well: For the Germanby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

It's quite good - the layout seems pretty accurate, although I think the elevations still need a bit of work, especially around the 'Castle corners'. It's never easy though and there's still no official elevation map on Formula1.com. (As for the other tracks.)by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

I'm with TheFueleffect on that one - we can see in real life as well that some drivers have consistently better tyre wear than others. Perez, for example. I can imagine a lot of things, so many in fact that I only have time to do my strict schedule in terms of track building. It involves updating and re-releasing my previous works and some previously unreleased stuff. It's full for the season - and I have mostly other plans after that. Managing two new projects is no small thing; a realistic .dat takes a lot of time to build, especially historby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
Nope. And you are not stupid. I had the same teething problems a few years ago. (Forgetting to update .bin files, etc.) Just pay more attention, try to understand the logic of things in the Builder (opening the User Guide from the About menu and then Ctrl-F-ing the thing you're having an issue with is not a bad idea either, just to understand what file does what and what is the structureby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
As many of you know I'm using Mediafire to host my works and it keeps track of how popular each circuit is via the number of downloads. I also noticed that where there is an overlap, the popularity order of my tracks and iRacing's does not differ significantly (I based the latter on scheduled races per days since release, see for the raw data) with iRacing likely being used by many morby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

Here you go, guys. Let's race on what is essentially the same race track as the first ever Formula 1 World Championship race was organised upon. You can find your usual turn-by-turn guide on the previous page - it's pretty unique, I haven't come across any for the 1950-1974 layout - here I provide other brief notes. Here you go, guys, though I have to say I'm still not entirely comfortable with a few gradients. But I simply don't know what the catch is. I remember tinkering with these areas before and I remember how stuck I felt as every change I made messed up another part that was OK. But it's still the best there is out there in terms of realism. It's release day tomorrow. Here's a little trivia: it is based on the original in-game A1-Ring so much so that every bit of track banking, width and every physical feature that could have been carried over has been carried over. For example, the current Turn 5-6 complex originally had a wider radius and the short link between the two ran on part of the current straight between Turby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
