Thank you, Soutsen. I'm having fun with Imola as well; it's so different from the current version or even the 2001 version. And not just the chicanes, Acque Minerali and Rivazza were also noticeably different. In a way, with that constant stream of now-flat out kinks, it is indeed a little bit like a mini-Nürburgring, just a blast to drive. It's also insanely dangerous - headingby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

In fact, I've just checked the links in my old workthread and they're all working - Monaco, Hockenheim and Monza. Spa is not there yet, looks like it got lost during one of the ports somehow. I'll make sure to re-upload that along with Imola soon. In the meantime, here's the direct link to the post:by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
Hi there, Sure thing, they'll be up by the evening, except Imola - I'm fixing a few more issues with that one. But I'll upload it later on.by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
Hi Glenn, It was related to another issue of mine from a few years ago and Prblanco's answer in that topic fixed this one as well. Here it is: (In short, go GP4 Builder > Action > Convert Lods in Objects, et voila.)by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

Hi guys, Can anyone help me out on what to fix here? Track is Imola and it crashes to desktop after deleting the LOD05/LOD30/LOD50 objects from the .gp4 file. Thank you in advance. Storno, guys - I just realised I made a major mistake with some reference landmark in classic Suzuka. It's huge, it was one of the earliest decision points for the new-old sections, so a lot of work just went down the drain. I planned for a weekend release, but this is such a bummer and I'm so strained nowadays that I think I will just let it rest for a while. It will certainly remain Wby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

Hi guys, As some of you might have read about it in the latest Suzuka topic, I was working on and off on the real original Suzuka for the last couple of months now - one which features the original Turn 1 and Spoon corners and not just the no chicane and original Degner options. (As it turned out, even the curving 'straight' connecting the hairpin and Spoon was relocated over the yeaby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
@truecrysis: It doesn't work for me anymore either. It must have been taken down just now. It was just an overlay of the changes, similar to the Racing Circuits images, but all in one picture. Here's a Google cache of its thumbnail: EDIT: It works again.by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
I really don't want to brag about it, but I did know of these things. (Although I'm as big of a track enthusiast as it gets, so no surprise.) But it's very nice to read someone else's research on the topic. I was actually quite glad when I heard about T5 not having been updated while I was working on Suzuka 1982, because it also meant that the in-game T5 was actually stillby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
As it's the weekend of the Macau Grand Prix, the Guia Circuit duly became my most popular track, overtaking Brands Hatch GP - if the MediaFire download counters are anything to go by! I myself almost don't dare booting it lest I find something in the .dat I can improve, lol. I do remember just how few laps I did on it where I absolutely avoided all the walls, however! The deafult setups are indeed the same, but don't forget that some things ARE different, at least if you use the 'track dependent' car setup setting - which loads track-specific wing levels, brake bias and gear ratios from the magic data. (I don't know if it modifies the default values under the Advanced tab.) You can't edit these-in-game, of course. My 'best pracby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
So, to sum it up, the guy's initial observation was right, but conveyed his message is a very very very rude way. Is this what it is?by Atticus. - Grand Prix 4
Replace the .wad in the GP4 main folder with your track's custom .wad file. Replace the .dat in the GP4\Circuits folder with your track's custom .dat file. You can do that with all tracks, just be very careful that you can only replace tracks with the same name - custom tracks usually come with files that are named accordingly to one of the original files. For example, F1virtualby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

That's "pit this lap, pit this lap!", not "cease this lap". It occurs when you're on a planned in-lap, i. e. your pit-in signal at the bottom right of your cockpit is on. It could switch on automatically (usually if you're running low on fuel) or you could switch it on and off manually by hitting Enter. If you're instructed to pit after just one lap (the liby Atticus. - Grand Prix 4

AI aggressiveness works in a very unusual way indeed. I would try to explain it, but a graph, an admittedly rough one, is much more telling than that. The main takeaway for you is that decreasing the AI grip value will actually decrease AI aggressiveness - right down to 32768. At 32767 it is high again and then it goes down again all they way to 0. @thestig88: It works for me. (Downloaded my own upload and used those files, just in case.) To be honest, I have no idea what the issue could be. Here it comes - Monza Historic, the Temple of Speed as it was meant to be. As I said, it's like Imola, Monaco and Hockenheim w/no Chicanes in that it uses the original game graphics and I set the historic layout in that graphics.
