couldn't agree more lopper- formula 1 is still a SPORT. success is still based on competition on the track, not in bank balances. ferrari should get more prizemoney because at the moment they win more, however getting more money simply for being there, and especially if some of that money is coming from struggling rival teams????? that's f****** ridiculous. if they were serious abouby gareth - F1
keep at it le_jaguar- your work will only improve if you keep at it. qwerty's point is spot on. unless you're painting a minardi, sponsor's logos are consistent and fit in to the livery. qwerty's car looks far cleaner and a lot more realistic. cars look very ordinary with random logos plastered onto them @ harjinator "sorry, but I don't like any of your cars.by gareth - Grand Prix 3

that white stripe between the blue bits can be fixed simply by painting your blue section a bit bigger. the area for sidepods on the car bitmap actually extends all the way up to where it juts out over what would be the sidepod air intake- where it is vertical is sidepod, and it stops when it starts angling over toward the engine cover and air box. so fill in that bit with blue, and it'll fiby gareth - Grand Prix 3
getting back to sponsoring names- a few years ago an aussie rules player changed his name to 'whiskas' for the cat food company that sponsored the team!! so it could happen...probably with a minardi driver :pby gareth - F1
for the record i never said the war was 'right'- to quote you vader. i merely stated what i could half recall- the actual 'reason' gievn for the war lodged with the international court or wherever was iraq's non-compliance with un resolutions. please don't mistake what i wrote as being support for the warby gareth - Off-Topic
great point sasjag. i don't think that religion and politics should mix- ever. i think religion is a wonderful idea but it's probably wasted on humanity :P with regard to the war in iraq being illegal, as far i can recall the reason given for the invasion was for Iraqi non-compliance with a number of UN resolutions, i think mostly relating to allowing weapons inspectors in as opposedby gareth - Off-Topic
can i ask how the nation 'leading the free world' can stuff up their elections so badly? after the joke that was their last election, surely better practices should have been put in place so that things such as what sam wrote: 'with voting machines out of order, Republicans being accused of intimidating voters, the elections officer for Ohio claiming that voters after the pollsby gareth - Off-Topic
hehehehehehehe........ so after about six months, a couple of computer meltdowns, too much time, a complete lack of time, this stupid carset is almost ready... just got to finish the garry rogers motorsport commodore and a few tweaks to the orrcon falcon and it's done. it'll be a few days but i promise it is coming, for anyone that's interested!!by gareth - Grand Prix 3
a good way to get the edges of your colours blending is do all your car painting on a layer that is four or five times larger, then reduce back down to the correct size. painting programmes should then automatically blend the edges to make them look a little nicer but it's looking good so far Harjinator! and Frapp, if wanted to send all that stuff to me as well, that'd be coolby gareth - Grand Prix 3

any new cars/teams has got to be a good thing- with these two new teams we should be back up to 22 cars (24 if someone buys jag)!!! both these teams are entering for the commercial exposure rather than in a spirit of sporting competitiveness- but to get the exposure you have to be quick so let's hope they make a decent go of it, eg. News gatekeepers decide what makes the news and the prominence it is given based on a number of factors. Galtung and Ruge identify twelve: Frequency, Amplitude, Unambiguity, Cultural Proximity, Predictablility, Surprise, Correspondence, Composition, Eliteness of people, Eliteness of nations, Personification and Negativity. but don't you feel for paul morris? having lost all potential to score championship points because his co-driver crashed? it doesn't make sense or seem fair to me. and G-force you're right about the points system. they give 192 to the winner, then drop by 6 points each place all the way down to zero, e.g 192, 186, 180, 174....12, 6, 0. all you have to do is divide by 6 to make itby gareth - Off-Topic
does anyone else think bathurst shouldn't count toward the championship because: 1. you're driving with co drivers, so why should you get points if your team mate is the faster, and why should you lose out on points if your inexperienced co-driver crashes, the mosrt blatant example being Alan Gurr crashing Paul Morris's car. 2. steven richards, fighting for the championship hitsby gareth - Off-Topic

the lopper makes a good point- the game itself adds highlights and shading on to the cars when it maps them as you're driving around. it does 'lift' a 'blank' when you see it in gp3edit carskin certainly some form of bodywork shading is preferable, ideally on the barge boards and wings i thinkby gareth - Grand Prix 3
if you want a really nice desert cocktail, try this: a shot of baileys or something similar a shot of banana liquer (sp????) half a banana a bit of milk chocolate and you can have either ice cream or thickened cream and a few ice creams to pad it out blend, then serve over warm summer evenings watching sunsets and boats go past.... me and my girlfriend call it a banaileys tough lby gareth - Off-Topic
