I'm sure it's Qual then Race - it's always been that way round, maybe it's not like that in GpxPatch perf file - I've always used it as that. Regardless, even if I got the Qual/Race the wrong way round, the rest is still correct - Ginnerchris so give it a go and experiment with the figures mate There's no need to try and be clever by just saying "wrong&qby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4

These tyres are fantastic, great work Leeby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
LOL thanks mate, I didn't realise they were on GP4DB (usually my second home!), so are some of my things I see, haha, my tyres were quite rubbish though to be honest, I think I'll download Enzo's! Thanksby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
> I make all my tyre textures solely for the 2d > advanced shape from enzojz, that way your have 3 > different types of spokes working in game at once, > with 3d rims you only get 1 spoke type for all > cars and the rotation doesnt look very good, > especially in screenshots I can't find Enzojz's 2D Advanced anywhere now.... can anyone send it to me please????by TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Cheers Guys I think I'm blind though - I can't find it on your site Lee? Are the actual shapes the same then, just the textures are different for 2009? EDIT: OK SORRY!! I see it - I registered.. haha! Thanks Thanksby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Great rims Lee... ! Can anyone tell me though where I can get hold of the 2010 tyre shapes and slick textures, etc.? I see plenty of 2010 cars, and the 'Updating To 2010' thread on the Forum has lots of pics with 2010 tyres, but I can't find them anywhere?by TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
I think you can see tyre/plank wear in race... look at the GPxPatch Help documentation: GPxPATCH Help Scroll to the bottom and it describes how to show Plank and Tyre wear in Race sessions...by TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Thanks man - your tip about using a different compiler did the trick! I was just being lazy, haha, and not wanting to manually type in the path for the new WAD! Cheers dudesby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
I'm on Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit Glenn. Everything works fine (so far!), although I run GP4 in Compatibility mode of course, and also I don't get to have hardware accelerated sound in GP4 - even though I've tried alchemy, and everything else - if I enable the ASUS Direct3D sound emulation thing (similar to Alchemy), GP4 just crashes straight away haha. I can live with that though!by TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Interesting Glenn, I never realised there was even an issue! I only wish I had have realised ages ago, haha!! Yeah WadUpdater didn't exist when I started updating GP4 either - I gotta say I do like the Old School, but then being able to insert a Tex into all tracks at once is a really useful thing!! Cheersby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Found the solution guys, thanks to Quickslick's help too - using GP4Master to recompile the Anim.WAD instead of using WadUpdater, solved it..! Wierd but true. Anyone know why that is? I use WadUpdater for everything else...!?by TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Interesting! Thanks mate, I'll try GP4M then in that case - I didn't realise there were issues with WadUpdater by Lo2K? I have always used mainly GP4Master 1.2, never had any problems. Looking forward to trying that tonight! Thanksby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Good idea - I was wondering if the util used to update the WAD could make a difference, I suppose it could, right? I'll try GP4Master then... thanksby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the reply Quickslick You're right, that would make it crash because textures would be missing, but unfortunately that's not the problem in this case - I've renamed everything to the correct name. If I only replace one of the TEX with a new one, and rebuild the WAD, it still crashes. Such a pain, because the TEX look fantastic! Thanks though, good thinking.. anby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Hi folks I haven't installed new pitcrews for several years now... just after a few tips because when I install Fongu's excellent 2008 crews, I crash to desktop when I load the track. I am using Wad Updater to rebuild the WAD, because EasyWad doesn't run when I "run" it... just nothing happens (maybe because I'm on Win 7 x64 or something!?), I use PLUS Tracksby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Who, me? If so then thanks! It's nice to get back into GP4 - I haven't been able to run it for ages So I got myself a new PC and my enthusiasm is back! Haha I'm thinking about doing another soundpack for 2009/2010 engines, there doesn't seem to be that much development in the sound department! The new cars that you guys have been working on are simply stunning - soby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Sorry Fergy our messages crossed. All fixed now. I don't overclock the GPU mate, do you? I have the CPU at 3.75GHz from 2.50 though and to be honest everything runs unbelievable. GP4 with all 2048 car textures, and LOD0 only, it just eats it up, don't get over 70% PO on the grid in the rain and then it drops to 7-30% PO everywhere else. I cannot for the life of me get 2D/3D sounby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
OOH! I have fixed it, lol... Ok the problem was this line in the F1Graphics.cfg: 7 ; Set 0 => no 8bit alpha (all stencil - yuck) 8 => all 8bit alpha (no stencil - nice) else 1-7 as cut off If you set it to "8" you get weird things missing off the edge of the track and bizarre transparency effects, set it to 7 and everything works perfectly!! YAY!! Such a relief, hahby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
It's happened on two different PCs, which makes me wonder if it's something to do with my F1Graphics.cfg but I'm not sure what... But my PC is a E5200 3.75GHz, 4GB DDR3, GeForce GTS 250 with Win7 x64 and it eats GP4 for breakfast haha I thought it might be a graphics card setting but doesn't seem to be... Could it be something to do with DTX5, etc. etc.???? Thankby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Hey Guys Can anyone help with this weird problem? I get it on some tracks, old or new, and I can't think what causes it... In case you don't know what I mean - trackside graphics like trees or buildings, etc. just randomly clip and disappear of get chopped in half - it's a real pain because as you drive along, some bits of scenery just disappear! Anyone know what thisby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Excellent thread Mad Otter! Thanks for the links, really handy. One thing I have had trouble finding though is the tyre shapes for 2009 or 2010? Or are they included in the car shape template in your first post mate? Cheers, great postby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Hi Guys I have just installed Alchemy and my Audigy card trying to get the sound to work properly in Win 7 Ultimate x64, and when I add the GP4 folder in Alchemy, and then run the game... it just crashes...?! But without Alchemy the game runs fine, it just won't let me change the sound settings..?? Anybody know what I might be doing wrong? Works fine without Alchemy but no 2d/3dby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
I've never seen Geoff Crammond post on here!! :O lol I vote for all those who aren't afraid to speak up when people are arrogant or criticise other people's work in an unreasonable way, and those that show appreciation for the great work that people such as EnzoJZ, Intweb, Sniper, and all the others do. It's enthusiasm and fun that keeps the community going! And this isby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Hiya Not sure about acually having the game swap the grid over but what you could do is edit the Performance TEXT file, and reverse the Qualification Levels, but leave the Race levels high. For example, set the Renault's Qualifying Power very low like 100 or something, then the next "FASTEST" car's Qualifying Power to like 150, etc, etc, and so the Slowest RACE car has the beby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Is it? Can you elaborate Leolo1974? I use CMagic to edit lots of stuff, haven't ever tried editing the Sector Start/Ends? I remember the GP2 days (and GP3 - I think*?) when you just entered a number for the sector splits in the track editing! Not that I'm complaining, the things people have done with GP4 is just amazing, I've made a few mods and use lots of others, and itby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Hi I use that wheel too... I was also under the impression that DAMPER is the strength of Suspension Effects like running over the grass etc etc and then the SPRING EFFECTS is the G-FORCE effects and sliding etc... I have the Damper set quite high too and I actually have the spring effects turned very very low or off because I find it clashes with the centering force of the wheel. The Spriby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
Hi Steven Could you send it to me as well please? I am using my own kind of mix mostly from 2004, would be nice to have the 2005 Crews for Qual AND* Race.. baz@teambpr.com Many Thanksby TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
What's Vortex Generators!? I've never even heard of this in GP4..?! Someone please explain!!by TeamBPR - Grand Prix 4
