Hi, my friends I saw my name in this thread: Sorry, I will not do any 2005 perf file, since, in my opinion, GP4 has reached its limits in 2003. In 2004 all the GP4 situation ( tracks overall..) was forced. But in 2005, with new F1 rules, I think its really impossible to get something similar to real performances. You can't get qualifications in 2 sessions; You can't get pit stops witby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Thanks a lot, my friends. Thanks for your kind words....too kind for me. I can't believe how many friends I got in this community. But don't be sad: this is a world where innovation is needed, and I think to have been for a long time, maybe too, on sites..a lot of skilled people on GP4 updating is still here, and surely a lot of great files for this 2005 are coming soon. This is a gooby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Just to prevent e-mail requests of permission, questions, etc...: I will stop my GP4 updating activity. Therefore, who wants...who needs...or who likes my files, my works to make them as base for 2005 updates, FEEL FREE TO USE THEM. I will glad if my files will be useful. Thank You for your efforts during these years.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Dear mate, the first thing I have to say is that..completely realism in GP4 will be never possible, and some performances that for certain people can be good, for other people cannot be. With this, I mean that surely my performances cannot assure to all people the same sensations. But: Ace level and other levels, starting from Pro, are different in bhp values and driver grip, in magics. This meby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
In the "read_me" of performances pack is clearly written that "realistic laptimes and difficulty" can be reached at ACE level...You are playing at Pro...You can' pretend to find the same difficulty as in ACe level. Regarding other people making performances: honestly, only "Walther Rohl", from GP4 Italia, has developped real GP4 performances, with a similar metby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
2 quickly "self" solutions. For Black NT Renault: use GP4 master ( You need a decripted GP4exe v.100 for it ). Exctract tga files from NT renault tex files. Then, load again tga on the previous tex files. Everithing will be OK. Also Williams BMW have only lods until 3. Just copy lods 3 for both cars, and rename them as lods 4.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Yesterday ( January 10, 2005 ), I uploaded this site with all ( 12 ) rar packs, including 18 versions of Ferrari for the 2004 season. Hoping You enjoy them. Nicolaby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
You can load , with the Team Editor, the Generic Performances text, inside the 2004 Performances Pack. Then, You will get the data You need on Team Editor and, if You want, You can also patch GP4 exe ( but this is not necessary, using GPxpatch ).by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Hi, Paul Nice work...But I have to say that: I never made a Bar ( with Matt and Bojan ); I gave the base of our ( me, Matt and Bojan ) Minardi 2003 to Fongu and Ross, but I never published a 2004 version... This only for respect and credits to the real Authors of such nice cars. Anyway, if You have some empty space for me, in the near future, You will have other 18 versions of Ferrari F 20by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Eighteen versions of Ferrari 2004 are ready. When, and if, Bojan will agree, I will do them available for download ( 12 rar packs, including tex files and gp4 files for all the 2004 season ). Thank You Nicolaby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Hi to all Personally I can remark that Ferrari is ready in many versions ( I have all that with chimnyes....12 versions). The late is due to texture refinements.. Regarding Renault, there is a pretty and detailed model ready by Matt, textured always by Bojan. But, don't ask me about date release.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Yes, I also confirm the GPxpatch 3.90 bug for GP4 v.100.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Oh, boys...I just tried. Terrible english. Sometimes, no sense words are computed. No, no...Only a carefully translation is needed. Thanks for suggestion, anyway.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Thanks anyway for what You are able to do, Guimengo. Anyway, slowly, I will go on myself...by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
to translate my GP4 performances Tutorial, from italian to English? I started to do, but I'm busy and no time is available for this, in this moment. You can find this Tutorial on www.gp4italia.org and www.simuitaly.biz....I promised to give also in this site this Tutorial, that ma be useful for all people. All the credits for translation will be for the volunterous guy doing it, of courseby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Ferrari is a reality.....believe me. From far is on the tracks of some PCs. It's a little bit late on the web....but is coming soon. Thanks for Your words; but, honestly, I never could anything without the work of my friends Bojan and Matt.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Wow--I like technical designs...and You are very skilled. My compliments. You could work with some F1 magazines, reporting after races technical notes about all cars. In Italy we have Giorgio Piola, a very skilled designer working for italian weekly magazine Autosprint, and for the english Autosport.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
But that track grip affect all cars ( incresing also fuel consumption ). So...You will be faster..but also CPU drivers. I suggested to decrease drivers grip factors, that affect only CPU drivers, as You remarked, changing also tyre wear, that affect only human drivers. In conclusion: if You start from a situation where CPU drivers are faster, in my opinion is not convenient to work on factors aby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
You are a great designer, mate! Nice idea for a fantasy car.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Briefly: some features affect all drivers, some others only CPU drivers, or humans. Regarding human driver, the only real factor that can improve your performances is the tyre wear, that affect only human drivers. You have to decrease this value ( 8000, or 4000 ), in order to obtain a longer time of performances for your tyres. Otherwise, You can decrease ace, pro, semipro, etc grip levels ( thby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Thank You. Thank You very much. Anyway...I will continue to see this site, following updates...and when You want, and if You need, offering my my suggestions.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Yes, sure...That's the easyest and most quick way to do this.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Thanks a lot, my friends. I will see to offer You something about this argument: a physic-magic-perf ( short ) tutorial. As I will find the time, of course. Thanks, againby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
To MLAM: sorry, mate...I'm not sure to have understood. You say that using the place of Fisichella, in Silerstone, You was more fast than Giancarlo in the reality? ..If Yes, that's sure. My perfs report ( with some limits, of course ) the real performances of drivers in 2004 season. But, when You drive the Sauber, the skill driver depends on your ability, and not from that of driver whoby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Yes. New Ferrari carshape ( that is coming in several versions, with help of Bojan and Matt ) will be my last gift for all this GP4 community.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
To Raztahz: done. See the replay.by nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
My physic file is the best compromise I could obtain, considering that is not realistic to have the same physic for all cars, and that You have to use a physic completing magic files with general features, and specific perf files based only on bhp car\driver-skill values ( no changes in setups between teams, or drivers in the same team; no tyre differences between michelin and bridgestone; no difby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
Hello. Maybe....accaris is for Acciarri's ? If You are speacking about my performances, yes..they were made in 2004 order. But, honestly, few people are using still GP4 in the original order. Anyway, is not a great problem: You can use my performances, resetting all perf texts in the original order...just 2 minutes of work for each text, cutting and pasting each team from the 2004 order toby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
With GP3 edit You can set performances, of course. However, as I remarked a lot of times, there are some other factors in GP4 that are causing variability, and random events, although You put range 0 in performances. That's sure....But I don't know how to modulate, or edit. In magic files You can't change completely this trend. Regarding difficult levels: in magic files You have aby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
I think we could release easily and quickly all tobacco versions, except Melbourne-Sepang-Bahrain-Imola, since in those races ferrari had grills, that need some more work for carshape, and texture ( so: maybe, later we could prepare a grill version ). I think also No tobacco versions are basically ready. We have all pieces for carshapes, and Bojan the specific texture. But these are only my thouby nicol@cciarri - Grand Prix 4
