Seeing as the GPxPatch and GPed and GPmaster are not yet working with the new version of GP4, does anyone know of any way to get the 'car power team dependent' setting applied to 1.02? Cheers, Gareth Evansby goon - Grand Prix 4
Nice to see it's working for others too!by goon - Grand Prix 4
Interesting. I made a cobblers of my system this morning, and had to step right back with my video drivers. I'm now on 12.41 for my GeForce II MX400, and I reckon I'm anything up to 15% faster in performance, and it seems to look better too. Also, editing the F1graphics.cfg text file can give you some great gains. If you absolutely have to have mirrors on (I do) and can't abide theby goon - Grand Prix 4
My planned night of actually racing GP4 got turned in to a night of trying to get it to run faster (again) and I played with the new DirectX, new Via 4-in-1 drivers and different video card drivers. How much improvement did I get? None! I can get no performance increase, still have the micro stutters, and the videos are still jumpy. Hi all, I have a GeForce II MX 400 (the 64Mb one) which appears to have a couple of issues with GP4. What is the general opinion of what drivers are working best with this card and GP4? I need to have a good idea as my girlfriend is away tonight, there's a bunch of beers in the fridge and it's time to start racing this game, rather than tweaking and testing! I'm only going to do ONby goon - Grand Prix 4
Interesting. The game runs like a dog on my work machine (P4-1.6, crappy Vanta video card, Windows XP) but the videos are perfect. So is it OS, CPU, or graphics card? Who can tell?! Cheers, Gareth Evansby goon - Grand Prix 4
Nope, the microfreezes are happening for me on every lap, not just the first.by goon - Grand Prix 4
I have the 'micro-freezes' problem also. Can't remember turn numbers off the top of my head, but at every circuit on every lap at the same place I get a split second freeze of the graphics engine. Very easy to reproduce! I have had several crashes in the car setup menu. Clicking a sider to adjust a value of a setting can send me back to desktop. It is rare though. Will do Morbid. I was just about to post in there too.....by goon - Grand Prix 4
Gp4 runs very well on my system, but with a few minor annoyances. First, my intro video is very choppy, and unwatchable. Second, whenever I change resolution in the graphics options I Crash To Desktop. I have to reboot the PC to get GP4 to restart. Third, I get random crashes in the menu system, especially setup screens when adjusting the value of a setting. I run Win98SE, PIII-800, GeforceII MXby goon - Grand Prix 4
