The solution i made was to change the name of the previous exe file. This way Zaz will ask and find the new GP.exe in the new location. Wich means that whenever i want to play with mods i have to change the name of the exe files...by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
I´ve installed a new version in a second Drive ( d with Carl´s installer but when i run Zaz Tools the app will only find the original GP4 that i´ve twicked and transformed along the years. I would like to maintain both versions of the exe. Can´t we indicate the new path where the the new exe is found to Zaz Tools and Gpxpatch?by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4

Hello everyone! I have an old instalation of GP4 wich has been modified and doesnt accept CSM, so I can´t load mods in it. I would like to maintain this installation . The question is: Can i make a second clean instalation in the computer with CSM working without erasing the previous one? If so what care must i take ?by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Thank you for your hard work !by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Great work as always ! Only a minor problem in the pit exit...by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Well If you like to run 50 or 60 laps then you have to change he magic data. I forgot to mention. TomMK has posted an updated magic data.by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Final version of Tocacinpa released in the first post. Hope you enjoy...by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Viking75 , if I can remember clear I also wrote good comments about your Manhattan track. The work with buidings and textures was huge and very well done. The problem with DAT files ( track and pit) is that it can ruin the experience of driving, I've had also this problem and sometimes you only notice it too late because what I really like to do is to create the 3d world around it. Thanks for your clear explanation . Good job and good tool.by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Let me see if I understand who it works... Imagine that i want to export a single car Lod or a car texture from cars.wad , modify it and then import it again to cars.wad. I understood how to export it from the original file but how can i replace the original file with the modified one? Is it jus with Drag and Drop ? No need to save the entire wad file ?by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Thank you for sharing this tool. I will compare it with Wadupdater. At first sight its more user friendly.by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Of course it is ! I love your city... for me a track in it should always pass by "l' Étoile et l'Arc du triomphe" and why not near the pyramid in the Louvre? As I said before in other topics , I d'ont necessarily want to make real circuits but those with better landscapes and beautiful buildings. The problem with Paris is that there are a lot of those !!! In my Lisbon tby RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
But Gavea isnt as beautiful as your beautiful beaches and has a lot of curves in the mountains, it wouldnt be pratical... But who am I ? A portuguese who never went to Brasil ... Thats why i said it should be a Brasilian to do it.by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
I see some possibilities in this part of Rio... Ipanema, Copacabana image linkby RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the interest but i really think it should be a Brasilian to do it. Someone who knows in first hand the environment. I´ll take a look but I´m going on vacation so maybe in late august...by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for your answers. I´ll save them for future check. PrBlanco is the best track building teacher ! Thanks a lot !by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
So in the future perhaps I'll make some fictional tracks in Marrakesh, Cairo. Luanda or Rio de Janeiro (street track). With so many brasilians in this forum they could already have done so . Rio de Janeiro is a beautiful city with magnificent landscapes...by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
It´s because CaOss asked me so and then I think we should explore tracks in countries that dont have that much a tradition in F1 but with lots of fans who live there. There are a lot of tracks from Europe but only a few in Africa or South America.by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
I like to to build tracks but after building 5 of them I still dónt undertsand fully the logic of some files and folders that make a wad track. So I decided to initiate this topic where everyone who knows something about them can share. I think that a topic like this will be very useful for all those that like to modify and create new tracks. First I have to leave here all my admiration forby RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
FINAL VERSION CaOss chalenged me to make a track from his homecountry, Colombia. So I built a simple track based in the original layout. It´s a litlle bit scaled up because the original only has 2,7 Km. This version has some improvements ( crowd, horizon, etc).by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Thank you all for your kind words ! Give me some feedback about improvements other then changing the track configuration. I didn´t create many walls so that the viewer could enjoy the scenario ( not realistic i know). The panoramic view of the Horizon has to be improved (i couldn´t get a good panorama but i´ll try to get one next time i go there). What do you think about the animated sigby RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
This 4.27 km track was my fourth experience in creating tracks for GP4. Its a tribute to my hometown city which is one of the most beautiful in the world ! The track isn´t completely real, the streets had to be enlarged for 2 meters and the heights had also to be a little downsized. It would be impossible for a F1 car to drive in the real streets of the old Lisbon but in this game nowby RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Great looks but there are some problems with pit entrance. I noticed ín the DAT that you didnt place the gate the normal way, maybe thats the problem. The other question is the absence of rails, i understand that you wanted us to better see the landscape but in the shor corners i can´t get any visual references to brake ( maybe that doen´t matter after some more experience with the track).by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Great update from Gildoorf. Of course it can be posted as an alternative and i've already told that Gilddorf must place his name as coauthor. Maybe it can be called UpnDown v2.0 ? Thanks to Gildoorf and TomMK for their suport and that it is possible to make great racing with fictional tracks...by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Some people for the paddock. Hot girls and Kimi on foot. girls2 kimi zipby RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Maybe a Sergio Leone movie poster with Clint Eastwood ...by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
But you couldn't make categories , for example , trees, people, buildings and so on. It would be just like a post or am I wrong ?by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
Im not familiar with what exactly is a "text channel". Seems a good idea but how would it work in practical terms ?by RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
I think it would be a good idea to create a space where everyone could share 3d objects prepared to insert as GP4 scenes. Its time consuming creating every model from scratch and it would be a lot easier if we had a database with those kind of objects that are not in the original tracks - standing people for pits, different trees, buildings and so on... I dont know how to organize it apartby RuiTap - Grand Prix 4
