The causes are well understood - and there are ways to fix it for many tracks (power and physics); but not without messing up the performance in the rest of the race. Setting the 'Rail line' to zero in the MD (Line 75 IIRC) can also help with some tracks, but not others. Revisit the default 2001 game one day and you'll notice that the start line acceleration problem has alwaby Noog - Grand Prix 4
There is more than one way to adjust no of laps, but probably the most convenient is to use cmagic4_102.exe Load cmagic4_102.exe and hit the browse button on the GP4 track file line and select your track dat. Next, click the EditGP4Info button which has now come to life. That will pop up a little dialog. If "laps" is listed there, change it. If not, type laps in the left hand columby Noog - Grand Prix 4

I've just realized I've made a small error in the upload. It's not a big deal but the GP4.EXE has had the 4gb patch applied to it which means that if you try to apply a CSM mod to it CSM will complain that GP4.exe has been modified. However, fortunately, you'll find a GP4.exe.Backup file in the folder as well, so if you want to install a mod, you'll need to delete theby Noog - Grand Prix 4

Until fairly recently there was a place where anyone could download a working default GP4 installation that was already updated with the official patch, GPxPatch and the 4gb+ patch, so you could just drop the contents into a folder and play the updated (but default) game without having to do any installation or any other messing around (although you needed to install WINE first if you were a Linuby Noog - Grand Prix 4

Looks like you've double-clicked the gpxcinfo.ini file. That's not what you need. Gpxcinfo.ini will take care of itself. Instead, you need to run GPxPatch, then click the GPxInfo tab and you'll see the .ini files you are using. One of the entries there should be called visors.ini, or something like that. PS: A quick note about failure rates. You were right, but here's the 'official' explanation. 100% failure in a 100% race is 16384, so 10% is 1638 (ie pretty close to your estimate: well spotted!). Ok, this is all off the top of my head OK, but.... Make a second copy of your visors and put them into your gpxdata/pnl folder. I'll explain why you might need to do this in a minute. Now, go into GpxPatch/GpxInfo and double click your visor.ini At the top right you'll see an Enable images check box. Check it. Now click the Edit Underneath button and in there, you have to adby Noog - Grand Prix 4
Alternatively, you could leave GP4Tweak as it is and just use GPxInfo to call the visors in the NON-cockpit views.by Noog - Grand Prix 4
