Hi ! I have excel from Office 16. Thanks for checking, maybe you can make it compatible for older versions If not...then time to upgrade for me Cheersby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Still after any touch of bhp (Max engine HP) the excel formula breaks and throws an error (#NAME?) #NAME? error occurs on perfomance txt tab as well At least it happens to me.by C490 - Grand Prix 4
If i try to change HP values, the formula have error Is it excel problem, or we do not suppose to change anything ? It just for use it for 2021 mods for now ?by C490 - Grand Prix 4
Hi all so exciting ! I do not use CSM (except 1 time installing the mod). Is there any tool to update the exe except hexeditor and CSM ? Thanks Jby C490 - Grand Prix 4
You can make them more aggressively and force them to make more driving error. Source : Car specific braking range The braking range is normally read from the magic data, so it's track specific but affects all cars. The values in the magic data are better known as desc51 and desc52, or CC aggressiveness. I noticed that desc51 works like a minimum value and desc52 as a maximum valueby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Yes. It could be kickstarter campaign. Geoff does not need to do all the work by himself, he needs employees We do not need to have even F1 licences, if there he could give good modding possibilities.by C490 - Grand Prix 4
Or what is even better. With gpxpatch, it is portable. Just copy GP4 folder, and it should work. I have installed each mods with its own folder so i have 20 differnt GP4by C490 - Grand Prix 4
C: drive in Program Files folder might be write protected in case of Win 10. GP4 is an old program and save file is in the installation directory (not in user documents folder like modern program case) Try to install somewhere else outside of the program files, preferably not to C drive.by C490 - Grand Prix 4
Hi Would let us know the operating system and installation path ? Kr Jby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Hi All Any idea how to make display this ? Is it from gpxpatch ? Thanksby C490 - Grand Prix 4
As far as i know its related with gpxpatch development (now driver values have/can have an effect on player car, not only car bhp) Performance file makers believe that it is easier to tune AI that way (with 1 variable instad of 2), also car ai car setting in magic data are difficult to fine tune with variable bhp (ex. gears). That is pf makers new philosohpy...you do not need to follow it strby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Thanks René I will experiment as you suggested. Thanks for your detailed explanationby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Yeah i would be happy to share, but at this moment i do not even know where to start. Sample of magic data values are as below: desc51=64768 ( Brakemin ? Sometimes called race grip or added to car.field_108. related to cc grip factor) desc52=512 ( Brakemax ? Sometimes called race grip fine tune.) If i want to try to modify by 1000 as you suggested what should i input into performance fiby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Thanks René. Much more clear now. Now it's very clear why newer gpxpatch makes older mods and performance files behaving "worse" I was so confused that i was thinking to downgrade to older version of gpxpatch. I was wondering that my long time ago carefully fine tuned things via magic data and performance files, suddenly behave oddly if not old behaviour is selected. New behby C490 - Grand Prix 4
But why AI has smaller variance in performance ? Is it because performance file grip value has less effect in when "old behaviour" selected ? I feel still confused a little what is the best way to finetune AI vs human performance.by C490 - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Rene ! So the proper use is within gpxpatch. Player grip performance file+ old behaviour in gpxpatch OR power and grip in gpxpatch only player grip + power and grip cannot be used together ? Thxby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Oh really ? Hope René will clarify thisby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Hi René ! I've noticed something odd. CC car performance seem to be influenced by the player car team dependant option. I got different result depending on "old behaviour" or " power and grip" selected. The latter gives greater variance of cc cars laptime. I think this option should not have influence cc cars but it seems to be. Would you have look please ?by C490 - Grand Prix 4
Would be nice to know as well.by C490 - Grand Prix 4
I'm suspicios of those 2 values from magic data creates variance (on the top of the variance in the performance files) desc63=random perf range min desc64=random perf range maxby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Hi Experts Is there any magic data value reagarding "variance" (similar to performance file variance) I am asking because even if i set 0 variance in the performance file, there is 0.5 sec random variance in qualifying lap times. It only happens in certain mods (or trackpacks) , while other cases 0 variance means 0.01~0.02 sec randomness (still some) Thank youby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Dear Forum members I've observed strange effect on my AI only races. Regardless of the performance file leading car is always faster than the rest, regardless to their performance value. Let me explanin a bit more. Lets say Car 1 has lower bhp and grip than Car 2. But suddenly Car 2 takes the lead at the first corner of the race , after this event Car 2 is never able to catch up. Itby C490 - Grand Prix 4
Dear GP mates Any idea on this ? What's the purpose of the "help" on GP4 if it makes you slower ? In GP2 , it did not made you slower...just compensated your steering input towards to ideal race line.by C490 - Grand Prix 4
