We CAN eliminate refueling with a little trick: In a 70 laps race, set in magic data the cars to pit only 1 time at the end of lap 72 (as a rule, use always +2 or +3). But we have to make a fine adjustment of AI cars fuel consumption to prevent cars running out of fuel before finishing the race. We also have to fine tune our (=player's) fuel consumption for the same reason. Note thatby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4

yellowbirdsca, please make sure you installed correctly the 9.6 patch. Running the 9.6 patch only extracts its files - does not install it. Don't copy the extrcated files in Grand Prix 4 folder. You have to run the extracted setup.exe and let it patch the game.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4

Since with GP4-physics only we can not simulate anymore the real F1 cars using KERS and DRS, magic data is the only option left to adjust the lap times. From the magic data point of view, lap times depend on air resistance and on track grip, mainly on track grip and less on air resistance. For more accurate result I think you should also post the real top speeds (on qualifying sessions) aby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
Did you install the official GP4_patch_9.6 ??? This is an official release that corrects some bugs of the initial release. Pay attention - you should not extract the contents of this patch over the initial GP4 installation. You have to exctract it in a separate folder (usually ...\Infogrames\GP4_patch v9.6) and RUN the setup.exe file to patch successfully the initial GP4 installation.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4

Some general info on magic data: Original GP4 stores each track's magic data inside GP4.exe. With cmagic4 we can extract these data for each one of the 1 to 17 original tracks. Track specific magic datas are stored inside track's *.dat file. With cmagic4 we can add/edit/extract magic data of any track's *.dat file. If a track does not contain any magic data, then GP4 wilby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
check these settings in f1graphics.cfg: ... 1 ; Increase car texture quality (1 on, 0 off) ... 1 ; Animation rendering mode. Also running GP4 on Win7 64 with no issues. Did not installed at all... Just copied all installed mods from my old PC running WinXP-SP3 to the new one. Then I deleted files: cards.txt f1graphics.cfg f1graphics.bak ... to force a new calibration of graphics and recreation of files in relation with the new graphics card. The only practical difference of an i5 to an i3, that bothe run at the same GHz, is that the i5 will automatically raise the GHz above normal when asked for extra computing power. GP4 is very affected by CPU performance and runs on one core. To get higher FPS select a CPU with higher GHz speed and fast RAM memory modules. Then you need a modern graphic card, with 1GB of RAM to handle the higby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
Hi Hasbriale, I just saw your PM... Well, panel's source code you are using is wrong. It says: Count=0 So all 4 items - all 4 accelerations are missing!!! and panel appears empty of moving G bars. Code should be like this: Count=4 Item01=LongAcc Item02=LongAcc1 Item03=LatAcc Item04=LatAcc1 Anyway, since also I noticed some more differences in the code you 'by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4

@ Fischi: ...means exactly that. As far as I remember, changes affect all cars, AI and player, but I'm not 100% sure, because it's almost a year since I played with these values.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
@ Fischi : You 'll probably find it as "cc shuffler???" @ SchueyFan : Still not defining what results you talk about... Great work Soulbringer!!! X1 gets better and better as you ad more pieces of bodywork. Only thing I noticed, is that it looks a bit narrow, but it may be just a matter of camera view. In any case, just make sure X1 is 2.18m wide. Much wider than 1.80m of F1 cars.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
Thank you ArturCraft. It's always nice to get some help... So, send me your mail via PM and then I'll send you some files to work with tyres grip.by Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
I'm WIP with X1 physics. These days I explore the highest engine power GP4 can handle. I use sets of "physics engine power" + "performance" + "engine torques" Each pack is edited to a specific engine power data. 1483bhp is not working for all cars. 1400bhp is not working for all cars. Rear wheels spin on high gears - I think this is strange, should ocby Cyberacer - Grand Prix 4
