Well, Detroit is a strange city track, but very funny to drive on.
I think there will be some update for the MD file: i set 10.000 as cc power and cc grip, but cc are too much faster (not in speed, in lap time) then me; they do about 1.13.500 (it is the qualifying lap time) and i can only get about 1.19.000 trying to kill myself onto every wall
But now i will wait for your new cc-line, and the

Grand Prix 3 About CC line: of course Roberto, if you have time do it! I corrected it a bit, but there are points of the circuit where CC drive on the grass or into the walls.
About the track: yes, it is not flat. On youtube you can see a camera-car of a Montoya's lap in 2000. The 2007 version is flat (and even the track is different).

Grand Prix 3 Hi Drafi5, Detroit is now available in the download section.
I will upload other tracks as soon as i prepare the file.
I upload Detroit first, 'cause it seemed to be very hard to fix, while it has been quite easy (after the good advise of Roberto Scandura )
About Philipp Island, at the moment i'm not workin on it (i have worked principally on Cart tracks, 'cause i was going to h

GP3 CART & other Tracks Sorry guys, i'm a donkey. In the download section, under "cart and others tracks". It will be available soon, if anyone won't disagree.
I'll edit my previous post.

Grand Prix 3 Now available an updated and fixed versione of Matthew Burge's Detroit Belle Isle track: in the download section, under "Gp3 cart and other tracks".
I have added fence extensions, updated advertisments texture, corrected the pitlane and modify CC line in a few points of the track.
Note this is the 1998-2001 configuration of Belle Isle (it is not the 2007 IRL configuration).

Grand Prix 3 It was a silly question: the commands must be in the appropriate sectors due to the lenght and shape of the pitlane, the numbers were only an example (i mean, not always the parking area is in sector 10: it is important to put the right commands in the right sectors).
Have i finally understood?
Please, say yes

Grand Prix 3 A question for Roberto.
I read your tutorial about the conversion gp2-Gp3, in particular for pitlane. Detroit Belle Isle pitlane has 24 sectors: so i must have the commands you mention exactly in the required sectors (0-5-9-10...)
But what about a pitlane with more or less then 24 sector? I have to move the commands to make them match the new pitlane?
Thanks.

Grand Prix 3 You beautiful creature...
Yes Roberto, it is just the parking area. I'll try asap.
Detroit is still alive...

Grand Prix 3 Well, about Detroit, i'm working on it, but it seems to be quite hard.
About texture, almost ok: i fixed the flash/flip, i added the fence extension on the track and on the pitlane. But the CC line needs a restyling (the CC often crash at the first corner, maybe need a CC couching command, but i noticed that it also solves texture flashing...)and exiting the pit still remains a graphic bug.

Grand Prix 3 Hi people. For those who like night races, i've just uploaded in the download section\misc graphics a night race pack.
It contains:
- new nightsky bitmat (a sky full of stars)
- the night_tarmac bitmap
You just have to set Gpxpatch to use them, no need to modify any jams: it works well expecially in ovals and city tracks, and it is pretty realistic (due to the game movement, the stars se

Grand Prix 3 For those who like night races, a pack to set night skys and tarmac in Gp3 1.13 Works well expecially in ovals and city tracks. You don't have to modify any jam files, only set gpxpatch to use nightsky and tarmac bitmap (see the readme file to install).
Hope you like it.

GP3 Misc. Graphics This is totally new for me: 7 stop, fantastic! You have won the cup of the most funny problem.
Therefore, i knew that tyre consumtion for CC was automatically calculated, no way to set it; you can only choose the tyre compound.
Well, my usual problems are:
- cc very slow at the start
- cc very slow in corners (expecially in short ovals)
- cc too fast on straight
- cc too donkey in closing t

Grand Prix 3 Ok, it's interesting. I also read the link SuperSonic posted.
What i meant was that i test and when i get what i was looking for it's ok. Anyway, always useful to learn something new.
About wings (of course i read Roberto Scandura's tutorial and a lot of forum posts about MD) i still have a doubt: ok, CC car can be set 0 to 21; but if i use the CC setup editor (the utility simply

Grand Prix 3 Hi people. I have downloaded Drafi's reduced Belini tracks for Gp3 1.13, they work well, but i have this strange problem: in the pit, i can't see a piece of the pitlane (where i stay with the car before running) and i see a black stripe.
It seems i don't have all the jams installed, but i checked and i think (but i could be wrong...) i have all the jams, jiips...installed. I have

Grand Prix 3 Hi. I think it is a value not related to a real parameter, as others in MD file.
For example, how can you convert the 171 value for the front wing to the 20 that appears in the game? I mean, in the game 20 should be the degree of the front wing. So, i think it is difficoult to convert the value of the MD: i just test.

I noticed that the original gp3 tracks (f1ct01...) have in sector 0 both the right and left cc coaching command.

Grand Prix 3 Ok Mortal, well done, know it is clearer.
I have to add other edited circuits by this command: Laguna Seca and Surfers Paradise.
So in Laguna Seca the same command has corrected:
1. a ccline error
2. flashing walls and tyre barriers.
I still don't know why, but it works.

Grand Prix 3 Well people, editing a few tracks, i notice that the "cc couching right/left" command in the track editor solves the problems of flashing or moving texture, expecially walls, fences and fence extensions, tyre barriers. I really don't know why, as this command should correct the cc-line (and i solved a ccline problem in the first corner of Laguna Seca a few weeks ago...): any idea?

Grand Prix 3 I agree with Roberto: CC just accelerate and don't either try to brake or to steer, and MD values have no effect.
By the way, anybody noticed that the "cc coaching" command also stabilize texture? I tried it in Houston, Toronto and Vancouver, to solve cc-line problem, and the result has been no more flashing or moving texture, expecially fences and tyre barriers: how can it happen

Grand Prix 3 How the CC exit/enter the pit is determined by the MD file values "sector to pit in 1" and "sector to pit in 2"; the values determine after how many sectors the CC rejoin (or leave) the CC line: if you notice crash or other problems, try modifying these values. Roberto Scandura's guide to MD file is very useful.
I have fixed many tracks in this way, it is quite simple (o
