Grand Prix 4 Very nice cars Filou. Judging from the shadows it looks like you use Brazil with the Brazil skylight. You can get better shadows by setting the View Rate and Sec Rate (Global Illumination group) higher. I use 25 and 30. It slows down the rendering process but the results are so much better.

Grand Prix 4 Thanks guys!
QuoteErix have you considered working on 3D art as a profession, you are quite good at it.
Well, I am a professional 3d/2d artist, working for SimBin now, but just can't let go of GP4

Grand Prix 4 Talking of Mexico City, here's the Palacio de los Deportes I made for Tony. It stands just across the road from the Peraltada.

Grand Prix 4 The colors are on top of the background video's. My guess is that it's somewhere in the exe.

Grand Prix 4 Nice to see this project taking shape and finally get the permission. The car looks awesome in GP4 (even better with a little more reflection )

Grand Prix 4 Nope it's a gpi file. Numbers 102 and 103 are "geoff crammonds" and "grand prix 4". You have to check their alpha-channels to see the text.

Grand Prix 4 I don't want it in my gp4, it's far too ugly for an F1 car

Grand Prix 4 Thanks Ed, was looking forward to this release!
If you have trouble connecting to gp4db, you have to wait and try again later, there's nothing wrong with your connection.

Grand Prix 4 Martin, it was about time you took a new approach to this. I made a change in my daily life a few months back and it makes you think about priorities and how to use your energy wisely. I wish you all the best for the coming exams.
There's no bad news when you're saying Monaco, Shanghai and Barcelona are still in the pipeline! Take it easy, we'll see those track coming in slowly

Grand Prix 4 That's right, the tracks from the PLUS trackpack have some blank track sponsors.

Grand Prix 4 The steering wheel in the 88 mod is a GpxPatch overlay and not an actual steering wheel, if I remember correctly.
I think our problem was that the file/space to use for the steering wheel is rectangular and if you draw a round wheel on it, it would be too small.
The mod has several classic songs in it. Unfinished Sympathy by Massive Attack is one of them. From the top of my head, there'

Grand Prix 4 That's great news! I'm happy that all works fine now!
1) Be sure to set CSM to auto-restore (file->options->check auto restore
2) I'm not sure why we did it like that. I guess it was due to some limitations indeed

Grand Prix 4 yeah but then it would spin around it's horizontal axis, which isn't realistic. Even if you use the 2d rims you will still have a problem. GP4 does not mirror the wheels but turns them 180 deg. so you'll have the duct and caliper facing the wrong way

Grand Prix 4 So only Silverstone and Hockenheim crash... It may well be that the anim_nt.wad isn't working properly. Those are the only two non-tobacco GP's and they share the anim_nt.wad.
Can you tell me at which point during the loading process this takes place?
Is it before you see the weather screen?
Then the .dat is corrupt and you need to reinstall the PLUS trackpack and 1991update01 (
