@Gildoorf: I notice you're using AutoCAD a lot these days for tracks. I am a very proficient autolisp programmer so if you need any custom programs to extract datas or do any donkey work in AutoCAD give me a shout.

Grand Prix 4 Hi JeDa.
I've also got TripleHead2Go on 3 19" BenQ monitors, and yes - GP4 is truely awesome across 3 screens. I'm having some issues regarding the field of view in cockpit. What cockpit cam settings do you use? There's a post here with screenies showing the problems I'm having.
Could you post your cockpit cam settings please?

Grand Prix 4 If you're thinking of upgrading to 8800's in the future and especially in SLi, then you can need up to 700watts with 40 Amps on the 12v rails!!! These new next gen DX10 monsters are unbelieveably power hungry. A single card alone uses 2 6-pin power connectors.
Check it out on Guru3D:

Grand Prix 4 Mike - be careful with the wheel gun positioning, they don't necessarily align with the jip markings because of errors in the original track. I have a set of wheel guns for interlagos that have been positioned to suit the actual in-game location of the chap who operates the wheel gun. Check your PM's over at GP4 World.

Grand Prix 4 I think a lot of people are missing the point.
The point is this: Some people like to update GP4 manually because they enjoy "doing it themselves".
CSM assumes that people simply want to update GP4 so they can go ahead and just play it. That's very well and good, but some of us take tremendous satisfaction out of "doing it yourself", including adding our own little

Grand Prix 4 At this stage these marshalls are intended for experienced track makers to insert into their tracks.
There will be a 'pack' released one day containing these marshalls (amongst other objects) that will have full installation instructions included. The installation process is too complicated to properly describe here, but essentially you must decompress the track wad file with a pror

GP4 Trackgraphics Hi Jim,
It's nice to see you back here!
Those Muppets are actually Irwins, they come from his X-Tracks project. They're open source. I used them in my pitstands, modified of course, but if you read the read me it says they're from Irwins X-Tracks project.
The camera men you had in Oulton Park are cool, so are the road cones and the fire extinguishers etc. You ought to put

Grand Prix 4 I thought I would be the oldest at 42. Glad I'm not the only oldie!
I'm from New Zealand, but am currently living in London (UK).
Favourite track's a tough one. I think that'll have to be Monte Carlo.

Grand Prix 4 Muppets are in included in the pack! They only appear in Quali and race. This has been done deliberately because in open practice sessions all teams (including STR) are not necessarily present at the track if you drive for another team. It would look silly if the muppets are there but their cars aren't.
If you want them to appear in all sessions, just change their class in 3DEditor from

Grand Prix 4 @F1Expert. There's only 2005 and 2006 order textures available. These are generic pitstands. The order is achieved by repainting the textures to suit the season.
@Slasher. Upload your Silverstone2001.GP4 file and send me a link via PM, I'll take a look at it. When does the crash occur? (how far along is the loading-bar when this happens)?

Grand Prix 4 @Sunil: You can open it, but can't save it once the alterations are made! This is done deliberately by the author of the GP4 file, which is his right, and should be respected I'm sure you would agree.
So there's nothing I can do really, unless you want to revert to another version of the track.

Grand Prix 4 Sunil, I found that deleting the old pitstands and their lod's from Imola caused that track to crash, so instead of deleting the old ones, I just displaced them to below the track surface so they were still there, but simply couldn't be seen - since they're below the track.
PM me if you have any problems. I can do this for you if you upload your imola GP4 file.

@Champion: What problem did you have at Istanbul?

Grand Prix 4 @mistral: You have to insert them into your tracks GP4 file (found inside your track wad).
The track wad files are found in the root folder of your GP4 installation. For example ..\Program Files\Grand Prix 4. There are 17 of them in a standard installation, one for each track. For example melborne2001.wad.The track wad files are more or less just a zip file really, and you can decompress (unzi

Grand Prix 4 @Slasher: My applogies. I went to great effort to make a very precise and clear set of installation instructions for these pitstands, complete with step by step screen shots. I have had some very good feed back from this too.
Perhaps it would be useful to make a set of instructions with step by step screenshots on how to unpack and repack wads too. If there's enough demand for this I
