Ah, I didn't see that. Cool, I like the sound of that. Thanksby zulu_85 - F1
I quite like the new Brawn - and the colour scheme in general isn't too bad - I just think - even with space left for eventual sponsors, there's too much blank space. I think it would look much nicer if there was more dayglo/black on the side of the side-pod or streaking back from the air box. But, hey, it's still very early days; I'm moaning about a WIP. Let's see what iby zulu_85 - F1
Eee...I guess that's sounds okay as a team name. Sod it, I'm more happy to have the team secured and 20 cars on the grid at Melbourne (at least). Also happy to see Jenson and Rubens back. The silly thing though, I'm most looking forward to what the livery might look like... :P Kinda also a tinge of nostalgia at the thought of Snetterton being the test track - brings back memorieby zulu_85 - F1
Now that I *really* like :D Shape of the car looks, actually, gorgeous. It makes the 2009 regs look completely acceptable, everything strangely appears to be in proportion. And I like the livery too - if anything, full credit to them for trying to make this year's livery more distinct from McLaren... :Pby zulu_85 - F1
I'd say we should involve the spectators more; let them stand on top of the straw bails if they want! (Though I really would like to see Agip and the old Ferrari livery back as well)by zulu_85 - F1

Actually I was in New York during the 2005 American GP weekend - got a bit pissed off by the supreme lack of coverage it was getting on the news - I eventually had to find out about qualifying by checking the ITV website on the laptop of one of the guys we were staying with. Watching ESPN was very frustrating, the only news they covered on Saturday evening was some wonderfully sexist, chauvinistiby zulu_85 - F1
Really like the look of the Williams, to me it actually makes the new regs look perfectly normal... I'll also stick my neck out say that I actually quite like the Renault livery - really hope they change the nose - but yeah, it's not too bad in my mind. Slightly suspicious of what appear to me to be go-faster stripes at the back of the car though, but ah well!by zulu_85 - F1
Silly thing about Valencia was that I thought the GP2 races there were fantastic. So in hindsight all the F1 guys really needed to do was a; only be able to pass other cars (oh, wait, that's a criteria in itself) by punting them out of the way or into a wall and b; run out of fuel on the last lap (and if they're really nice, c; let the Eastern European driver - i.e. Petrov/Kubica - win!by zulu_85 - F1
I still really dislike the fat front wings and tiny rear wings that everyone's forced to use so it stops the car from being truly beautiful in my mind but it still looks nice (for what it is allowed to do). I really like the nose actually - just not the width of the front wing of course. The other thing about those mirrors though - call this wishful thinking but when you consider where theyby zulu_85 - F1
Likewise, Pryces' crash is the most horrific thing I have ever seen in my life. Williamson's death is also really harrowing if anything for the seeing the anguish that Purley goes through trying in vain to save him while all the marshals can do is try and kick some dirt at the flames. I did read somewhere, not entirely sure whether its true, but such was the reaction to this incident thby zulu_85 - F1
Living in Nottingham, personal experience (of Nottingham only rather than the rest of the area around it unforunately) says you could arrive at the station - which is fairly large - and walk a short distance to Broadmarsh bus station which will in my mind undoubtably have buses going to Donnington that weekend. Donnington is basically smack in the middle between Nottingham, Derby, Burton-upon-Treby zulu_85 - F1
@elemental - lol, that's the first thought that popped into my head too... @Kaid - Santander's confirmed its going to Ferrari but in 2010, and not that that would really change the livery :\. Nothing springs to mind though about sponsorship changes or resultant livery changes. I do hope BWM paint their front wing blue like danm suggested though.by zulu_85 - F1
Very much looking forward to the new season if for nothing more than the line up :D One bit of mystery still lingers for me - who will the BBC use to fill in for Martin if/when he takes his annual Hungarian Grand Prix off? :Pby zulu_85 - F1
Yep. Maybe with Britain out of the picture there may finally be room for Canada to make it back on the calendar, ey? Sorry if I sound overly pessimistic but Donnington have set themselves a tremendously tall order while planning delays, unforseen building complications and runaway budget estimations seem to be an integral part of any construction project here in the UK. But, hey, I genuinely wby zulu_85 - F1
Actually yeah - I mean I don't think I'll ever like the fat front wings but the blue-front wing BMW does definitely look so much better @Bruno - cheers, though I think I'd need to send it to the FIA :\by zulu_85 - F1
I do dispair at the front wing to be honest. Wish the rules could allow for smaller wings! I think the BMW could look nicer with a smaller front - But ah well. The Williams doesn't look too bad to be honest, I do hope that the full 2009 cars will look nicer, it's just I've always thought the 2009 front-wing width size looked yuck...by zulu_85 - F1
I'll believe it when I see it - but if it's true I think it'll be frigging fantastic!by zulu_85 - F1
So what about Georgia? Alright, politics may have played a part in when F1 did and didn't race in South Africa, and there was some political interference involved in the UK concerning tobacco laws but I don't see the idea that the foreign-policy of the Russian government looking a bit "dodgy" would stop Formula One going there. I mean, I might understand your argument more reaby zulu_85 - F1
Well it may well at least make Formula Rus' a little more interesting, if nothing else...by zulu_85 - F1

I thought I read that Red Bull weren't interested because they had contracted both of their drivers for next year. Horner I think went as far as saying that Alonso is simply not going to be in a Red Bull in 08.by zulu_85 - F1
Even though for me Ferrari have a while to go before they can reclaim any sort of moral high ground regarding anything...their lawyers are right. Well maybe in their words "McLaren are naked opportunitists" I'd say "Pot, kettle..." but it's true that Hamilton lost the championship on the track, for various reasons, Kimi shouldn't lose the championship in the couby zulu_85 - F1
I've read that before - it is brilliant though isn't it? :D But yeah, highly unlikely he'd be able to do that now. Too many of the other teams would see it and appeal...by zulu_85 - F1
I'd love to see it but I'm not sure DC would want to go back to McLaren. Webber might though - it might be the big break he's been waiting for, he'd be a great foil for Lewis and given McLaren's near bullet-proof car this year I think the idea of a car that would theoretically actually allow him to finish the race would really appeal to him...by zulu_85 - F1
I hope he's not sacked or "reassigned" because I really like Barrichello and I really like Honda so I'd hate to see it end like this. The more obvious thing is that I would say I would understand a move if Rubens was really the weakest link in the team but this year it really has been the car. For me it's not what Rubens has given the team, more what it's given him.by zulu_85 - F1
You forgot two other rookies in 2001: Tomáš Enge... and Alex Yoong...by zulu_85 - F1
Give us a smile Kimi...? Hooray!by zulu_85 - F1
Though to be fair Villeneuve got that championship the following year, and then soon after that was lumped with ever slower cars it seemed. Got to question your motivation after things like that. Who knows though? I mean the, what with the FIA busting McLaren's budget down "only to the likes of Williams'" - who are *not* challenging for race wins BTW, Max, whose to say that Lby zulu_85 - F1
