Strategy for France discussed and agreed by team management and drivers. PM sentby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso Happy with a points finish and another in the to 10 given our qualifying positions. Heading back to Faenza to work on developments and strategy for the next race. Great summary of the race. Thanksby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso Not the dizzy heights of practice, but solid enough.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso Wow. What a start to the weekend. The rest has clearly been good to us. Let's hope we maintain this form into the rest of the weekend.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Hi. Toro Rosso here. Summer holidays have been and gone and we're looking forward to the season restarting.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
I'm still around. I'd also say pick up where we left off if it's possibleby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Liking the look of this work guys.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Torro Rosso Great job by Reubens to get done solid points and for the guys to prepare the 3rd best car on the day. Sounds like an eventful race with all those retirements so we mustn't get complacent and ensure we work hard on developing the car.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso Into the top 10 with both cars. Good result. Hope for a bit of luck and stronger race pace to get into the points tomorrow.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Merry Christmas to you all from Torro Rossoby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso Strategy for Canada has been submitted. Looking forward to seeing what the next part off the season bringsby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
That's an interesting proposal to bring the pack close together. Bearing in mind how hard it is for the midfield teams to beak into the points this could end up being a long term project, but I'm also a bit concerned that as the team currently day in 7th place I could get overwhelmed by the teams below.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso A disaster of a weekend. Can't wait for the next weekend. This sort if performance will not be tolerated again.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Oh dear. Took a gamble on qualifying setup and it hasn't worked. Tough race tomorrow unless there are some retirementsby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Wow that's close. Half a second covering the top 20. Looks like qualifying will be a bit of a scramble.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso. Some more solid points helps our championship effort, but we've a long way to go before we have the pace of Ferrari or McLaren. Hopefully the streets of Monte Carlo will bring us some luck.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Good analysis. My team is a good example I think. It's also important to look at the lap time difference. 2 tenths covered the top 10 in qualifying if I remember correctly. That could be influenced by a mistake, or use of different tyres or use of the driver bias. I don't think we're far off in terms of the model we're using. Pay drivers is a good idea though and could helpby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Great job by Rubens to get ahead of a Ferrari and a McLaren. Both drivers in the top 10 means we should be looking for a double points finish.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso. Strong session, with the drivers looking at different setups for race and qualifying. The 0.2sec gap covering 4th to 15 should make for am interesting qualifying session. Avoiding traffic is going to be crucial.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
I think the activity penalties are about right, but I'd be happy for a smaller points deduction if others wanted it (5 points then 10 points). Also think the funding arrangements are fine - i'm comfortable with it due to the fact that everyone will get at least $30m. Can I check that my current budget has my multi year driver costs for next year already taken from it?by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso Such a shame about the water leak, we looked well set for a double points finish (although not as high up the points as we have hoped for). Perhaps we need to review or strategy options. We enjoyed the format of the rave report. Nice amount of detail. We're looking forward to seeing the race promoters briefing on the future funding strategy.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Looks like a podium might be tough unless the Ferraris or McLaren's have technical problems, or they've gone for broke in qualifying setup. Looking like a double points finish is possible.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso. Good to see both drivers solidly in the to 10 and Heidfeld showing he's starting to get used to the new car. Setup work went really well and we hope to see it have benefits in all the remaining sessions. Were baffled why our sister team can't get within half a second despite the excellent Ferrari engine. It's be good if we could find the 3 tenths were missing to our eby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
I'm glad we're closer to making a decision, and I didn't add any more to the discussion because I'd already had my say above - basically wcc reward for the season currently underway + remaining funds should be used to fund purchase of drivers (if contracts not already in place) and equipment at the end of the season. Upgrades for the current campaign should obviously be fundedby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4

Is remaining budget + wcc reward what will fund next season? I'd prefer to negotiate at the end of the season, although as I am lady have 3 drivers sorted (and budgeted for?) I guess I'm a special case.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
I was planning to spend much of my remaining budget on this seasons upgrades working in the assumption that next seasons drivers are accounted for in the costs down in the op and wcc funding sufficient to buy engines, tyres, brakes and some left for upgrades.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
I'm quite confused about what is going on with budgets. My understanding is that we effectively have a bank account to spend from (currently on upgrades, but at the end of the season on drivers, engines etc) and this will be topped up depending on your championship finishing position. What has confused me slightly is the table in the op which shows driver costs for some, but not all, tby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Toro Rosso Great racing from Rubens today showed his class by beating all but the Ferraris to be best of the rest. Still work for the team to do in terms of closing the gap to Ferrari, but we're all happy with the potential. Race drivers will continue doing practice sessions to build up their understanding of the upgrades we're bringing to races, but Nick will need to up his game toby ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
Very close sessions. Should be an interesting race. Shame nick didn't get out of q1, but should have the pace to move up in the race.by ginnerchris - Grand Prix 4
