OK, does the GP3 decrypted No cd patch thingy have the normal default settings in? or am I going to have to reinstall the whole thing?by Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
WTF? I just looked and all the track setups seem to be the same O_o (apart from ones I changed). Is it meant to be like this? I haven't downloaded any new tracks, noby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Which files are the default car setups in, so that I can copy them off the cd and make a save of them? I doesn't appear obvious from the file names. Also, I don't see how just changing one thing at a time will always work. For example, when changing the wings, you have the wings, one wing setup may be actually quicker, but results in a slower time because the gear ratios are not setby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Traction control makes such a difference and makes driving so much easier O_oby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
I tend to like oversteer (although the manual doesn't seem to agree with me :D) but when it is really pissing it down, you do need understeer really, as without it you cannot accellerate well at all (bearing in mind traction control is off) as there are huge, HUGE amounts of power oversteer. Wet drving is slower anyay, so in a sense, having understeer isn't as bad, as you won't beby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
oh ok thank youby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Cheers for the reply So does anyone know aboout the GPxPatch thing?by Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Oh btw, when I said in another topic about me finding it in the wet hard, it was partly because of I don't have traction control and steering help on, but I found another more important reason. I don't have traction control and steering help opn because I want to try and play realistically. Unfortunately I don't do my own gears atm This is because I find changing down hard, asby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
In GPxPatch, how can I set it so that it uses the default track camera angles, rather than the GPxPatch ones? I could try disabling the section that controls it, but I feel this would also disable other things in that section. There may be a way to disable just the new track cameras, which is what I want The reason I want it is I feel the old track cameras gave a slightly closer look at the cby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
I have a 2004 helmet set for GP3 but it is a bit crap and pixelated. It is ok, but not the bestby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
To run hardware well on a Radeon, turn off FSAA and AA on the control panel thing. I have a special Redline control panel cos mine is a Sapphire, but I assume you can do the same thing on a defualt ATI profile.by Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3

about driver setings etc, I was reffering to this thread in case you are interested.by Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
I was looking at GP3 Edit and unfortunately I pressed "copy" on the pit crew tab and then pressed "import" :D silly me. Now I have the crap version of the jack man for one of the teams. What jam (or other) file do I need to copy from the CD to get it back to normal? However, my main question is, why do all of the other teams (except the one you drive for) have the crap vby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
hmm strange why that would only work for GP3 2000 O_oby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
thanks for the info - I thought you could set GPxPatch to automatically load skins fopr certein tracks? :D oh wellby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
heh, cheers, I found this stuff myself by accident when searching this morning. There are also 2 carsets at that are good for the 1998 season. There is another carset too, but the ones in it are crap, and the good ones are stolen from that other carset. Can you possibly give me a list of all the races that are non tobacco, so I can set it to have non tobacco for those races? I guess I willby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Well since Rossi isn't exactly F1 you won't be able to find his helmet there :D His was at one Grand Prix recently though, they showed. Maybe Imola? I dunno. Hmm, if you get me a picture of it I could try and Paint Shop Pro one for you - though I am not sure how good it will be - I may be rusty, however, for some examples of my other work, go to www.gta-v.tkby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
indeed, I found that one by myself just a moment ago too - it is Gamespy download which is a bit crap, cos if you use a download manager it corrupts the downloads, also you have to sign up. However, I have them now. Some things of theirs I will kepp in, others I will not. I ithnk I will keep the normal drivers photo's and try to make a Jaques Villeneuve one myself, if I can find pictures Anby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Hmm, I got reall 1998 Hlemets there, ty. However, the team art I got there said it was 1998, but it was just the same people in different teams and some duplicate - eg no real editing at all :-/by Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
the manual lies then it clearly says you can set the 107% qualify ruleby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Hmm, I know I can edit the name, but I want the picture and helmet :P Hmm you forgot the answer to the thing I wanted to know most :Dby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Are red flags in the game? I have tried and tried (hehehe) to cause a crash worthy of a red flag, but it doesn't seem to work Also, where is the option to set it so only + 107% above the qualifying time actually qualify? It mentions you can do this in the manual, but I dan't find it in race options though. Hmm I have stopped using GPxPatch and GP3 Video for the moment, as one (orby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
hmm there is a bug with GPxPatch that means that anyone's lap is compared with the fastest lap of all the time when using a replay. For example, someone could be comparing their lap with a fastest lap that hadn't been set yet, and when the lap is set, they get + 0.000 on all sectors :D This is rather annoying actually, is there any way to fix this in replays? Or is it a bug in GP3 itselby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Yey, it works TY Hova. I have donwloaded that GP3 Video thing and will try it later. Does anyone know where I can find a "make it real" 1998 update thing, so for example to put Jaques Villeneuve (as much as I hate him) in and also to make the cars have ciggarrette sponsors on the races that they do and non on the ones they don't (someone told me this was possible but I readby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Ah thanks Hova, I will try it I want to get GP3 2000 yes. Now to find it somewhere cheap :D Also GP4 :Dby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
Hmm, I did look at the readme but couldn't see anything about it, I will have another look Any idea what section it is in? I will try the GP3 Video thingby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
OK, there is this annyoing details menu about things like tyre and plank wear at the bottom of the screen that GPxPatch puts up - here is a screenshot: How do I get rid of it, is there an option? Also, can I extend the length that replays give you from the crap 20 seconds? I hear GP 2000 had a 90 minute replay allowance with replay controls or something?by Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
The link to the second one is broken BTW. I am downloading them now (except the 2nd one of course)by Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 3
