dan, is in the rear wing... a little bizarre i think :Pby Frantic - F1
Me!!! the car does not convince me enough yet... nice shape but ugly decal in the engine coverby Frantic - F1
but thats different, Kobayashi cant fight for wins. today the cars that use that strategy (using harder tires until they put soft tires for the last lap) do not fight for wins. mitadumapaga was talking about the lead cars using different strategies (almost impossible today because current qualy system) and in an epoque drivers had more influence in how the cars wore the tyres (even Alain Prostby Frantic - F1

accidents like Webbers last year made me think tarmac runoffs are a bad idea. yes you can go back to the track without problems but its more dangerous if you have an accident because you cant reduce speed. Kovy´s accident in Barcelona could have been much worse if it was a tarmac runoffby Frantic - F1
better a French Grand prix altough in magnycours that no French GP at allby Frantic - F1
from gp update just hope it is a step forward to have a France Grand Prix again...by Frantic - F1
@loque: there is a difference because in this case the livery is inspired in a tobacco brand coloured liveryby Frantic - F1
thanks to extensive rFactor testing EDIT: seems like people in general in F1 paddock doesent like Lotus Renault new livery, Derek Warwick thinks like us about the Total red not fitting at all, and some journalists take all this Lotus name issue as a innecesary and complete mess. here is the link (spanish, sorry)by Frantic - F1
i think thats made because the late 70s/early 80s Williams colours... i think they´ll do something similar to the early 90s livery when they added camel´s yellow to the canon blue and white livery. btw, that livery was awesome also, i think Jules Bianchi helmet looks like Alesi´s (and as it looks like alesi´s like Elio de Angelis helmet too :P) but Roelof Wunderink used a more similar helmetby Frantic - F1
As mercedes only remains as a engine provider there are rumours that McLaren wants to change their livery to not be confused with the Mercedes GP cars and for giving "fresh air" to the team. Here is a link but its in spanish. I think the car would look moreless like that picture Dan posted, although i would go back to the start and use orange, like they used in some test in 2005/6by Frantic - F1
if it is Telefonica, the livery would be somethin like the 2000 Minardi?by Frantic - F1
Here are some photos I took at the Train Station in my town a couple of months ago, were for a school project but I like to look into things that are there, but we usually don't look at them Edit for pic links.by Frantic - Off-Topic
I agree, too, but the green stripe is for show the ecological compromise Formula 1 has (something that I think is hypocritical considering todays cars burn aprox. 70 litres of fuel in 100 laps)by Frantic - F1

ugly in someways... the red total is absolutely out of tune with the rest of the car, and why is the Lotus logo so big?by Frantic - F1
Former "Team Lotus" name rights owner, David Hunt, brother of 1976 WDC James, seems to have a word on this issue (click to gpupdate article) may he can go as a witness if this thing ends in the High Courtby Frantic - F1
i think this will end when 1. Clive Chapman says if he supports Lotus F1 Racing or Proton. 2. The issue with David Hunt and Proton about Team Lotus name is finished.by Frantic - F1
This is a complete mess... Group Lotus should support 1Malaysia, and Team Lotus and Group Lotus would be together like 1958-94. they are argueing like teenage girls and ruining an historic name. btw That Renault looks horrible (what is the bloody problem of changing the Total colours?). we are losing an awesome livery like this year´s for that?! also i would like to know what thinks John Playeby Frantic - F1
but it was different, all cars in 80s and first 90s had a very poor reliability... indeed, in the 80s usually the races ended with no more than 10 cars (and in hockenheim with no more tha 5 or 6 due to turbo problems). lower cars then reached 5th or 6th place because all the cars ahead of them had broken. today is hard to see an engine failure, a suspension failure, or whatever so the fastest caby Frantic - F1
obviously he did not want to drive alongside Senna again. and thats why Senna didnt drove for Williams in 1993by Frantic - F1
doh! typing error! i mean 10 years anyway, if we say good argentinian drivers we should go back to... 1982 :Pby Frantic - F1
or at least in engine tuning... talking ´bout Virgin. Here in Argentina Esteban Guerrieri concluded successfully negotiations with the government to get the money to get into a Virgin next year. He talks regularly with John Booth and the expectatives to have after 19 years an Argentinian driver in F1 (at least here) are high. Has this been reflected in other countries or there are talking onby Frantic - F1

a little bit out of topic, but I miss older times when one driver used the same helmet for all of his career (for example, Mika Hakkinen). Today the only ones that almost havent changed their helmet´s design are Lewis, moreless Button and moreless Rubens. In the other hand, Vettel changed it almost every race. some years ago the helmet was a sort of identity for the drivers but that seems to be lby Frantic - F1
oh yeah, yellow letters!! @Incident 2k9: i too think they were on supersoft, since Bridgestone needs to spend all the F1 tyres stock they hadby Frantic - F1

someone knows if in 2011 FIA will ban double diffussers?by Frantic - F1
stunning race!! and stunning performance of Alonso and Vettel in the latter part of the season. Alonso said taht in the last 5 races he would have to be on the podium in all 5. he was in 4 of the5. Vettel too, but the difference is Vettel won 4 of that 5 races. and he didnt won 5/5 because his engine broke in Korea. A well deserved WDC. Also, only 2 drivers won WDC leading only 1 race (the lastby Frantic - F1
i dont like quiet riot but... meh that song later was released simply as "Mechanix" in Megadeth´s Killing is my bussiness, this is the early Metallica´s version. In 1982 Mustaine almost was Metallica. When Mustaine was kicked out, as he wrote this song for Metallica, Hetfield changed the lyrics and Hammett added a slow part in the middle. thats known as The Four Horsemen released iby Frantic - Off-Topic
