What is clear is merc in hot weather are too marginal and with the summer races we could see them brake. I think one of the main problems has more to do with Montreal and A1 Ring being short circuits, rather than the hot temperatures themselves. In Canada they have issues to cool down all the systems (mostly brake by wire and that stuff) and I believe the Mercs werent as far from the rest of tby Frantic - F1
we´re back to a classic circuit! with one of the narrower main straights i expect some crash at the start. should be a good circuit for Williams i guess about titanium skid blocks yep, kimi and rosberg will be using them on Friday to try bringing back sparks. i´d prefer to using a lower chassis but i guess it would compromise safety so we´ll see how it resultsby Frantic - F1
I really cant make it clear from that video, he could have been going too fast and braking late or started braking when he passed through a bump then block or whatever... Only Rosberg knows if he did it deliberately or not, but official telemetry didnt say anything about that and the stedwards didnt see anything else than a mistake (and they acted with Alonso in hungary 2007 and MS in 2006) sby Frantic - F1
Looks like they've found a place for the vuvuzelas used in the last world cup as they wouldn't bringing them to Brazilby Frantic - F1
some media here is saying Schumacher woke up from the coma and recognized his wife, apparently Sabine Kehm said that to RTL (German livers can confirm this?). If so, this is a VERY big step!by Frantic - F1
mics could have a portion of the fault there but im almost sure they´re using condensers so they are taking all the sounds the car makes. equalizing them to bring more engine noise would cause tyre squeeze and other things to sound even louder i guess. here is a good comparison between 2013 and 2014 video:by Frantic - F1
and this is from McLaren twitter, they are using a special livery this GP celebrating 20 years of partnership with Mobil 1 it needs red numbers.by Frantic - F1
Ron Dennis said that they wont have a title sponsor for Australia but that they are in conversations with several candidates to seal a long-term agreement starting early in this seasonby Frantic - F1
regarding the russian thing i think if the grand prix is effectively made, it eventually will stop as it happened with South Africa GP and the apartheid in the 80s. F1 will always try to make its bussiness but when the circunstances makes the sport being criticized they´ll back off. As for the season start its clear that Mercedes is ahead but its also clear that they´re not bulletproof (atleasby Frantic - F1
i think Williams decided to put all the new staff and major R&D into 2014 sacrificing 2013, like Brawn did with 2008 waiting for 2009. As it happened in that case, all the new staff work will be reflected on this years car (i hope). I see them fighting for the podium regularly and even wins as they are one of the most reliable teams right now. Mercedes looks as the major favourite but theby Frantic - F1
guys, look at this! it was in OnPole (they soon switched it for a McLaren one). this, and Petrobras and Banco do Brasil about to be confirmed as sponsor, how tests have been until now and how Massa adapted there, makes me have a really good feeling about Williams for this year (well they cant do it worse than 2013...). Its a complete different atmosphere inside the team now. cant wait to sby Frantic - F1

I just tested it on a friend that knows nothing of F1 and the results were this: 1) v12 (Ferrari 412T2) 2) v8 at 20k rpm (Midland Toyota M16) 3) v10 (Williams FW24 BMW) 4 v8 at 18k rpm (Mercedes W04) 5) v6 turbo 80's (Lotus 98T Renault) 6) v6 turbos 2014 It seems to be that anyone not used to F1 choose V12 as they favourite (or 2nd), maybe is because they sound (or scream!) so diby Frantic - F1

Its ugly for now, but also in 2009 we said cars looked horrible respect 2008. We´ll get used to it. I would really love seeing Martini in it, their colours along with Wiliams blue and white scheme would create a outstanding livery but i´m not so sure it could happen, isn´t banned advertising from alcoholic drinks by the rules? or is it only in some countries? Also I´m anxious to see how wilby Frantic - F1
So, we can confirm Hulk will be driving a Ferrari sometime Toro Rosso is the only team that has consecutive numbers. They should rename the team as Ligier as well and bring gitanes as sponsor. I'm surprised nobody took 12, I was convinced Hamilton was going to take it being him a big senna fan. Just hoping for big and visible numbers! anyway, still im convinced teams should hadby Frantic - F1
According to some rumours and webs until now these are the number choices for next season so far Sebastian Vettel -- expected to choose #1 altough he can choose not to do it Nico Rosberg -- #6 as first option, #5 and #9 as options Fernando Alonso -- rumoured to have picked #14, but is also being said he picked #8 or #5 Kimi Raikkonen -- according to some media he picked #7,other media sayby Frantic - F1
I dont understand why if they change the numbering system they make the drivers to choose it instead the teams. its better a Ferrari with 27 and 28 and not with a messy 5 and 41 or whatever. F1 its trying to be a mix between moto gp and Nascarby Frantic - F1
I think that if Hulk gained something in this second half of the year is in consistency. i mean he finished in the points in all races he finished from Italy onwards (except Abu Dhabi). Hes not a top driver but I think in 2 or 3 years we will rate him in the same league as a Rosbergby Frantic - F1
Perez Out of McLaren for 2014 now officially confirmed Magnussen in?by Frantic - F1
Vettel has that thing that makes him race in a league of his own, as did Senna, Schumacher Fangio and Clark. All of them had been the man to beat in his own era. All of them raced against great drivers like Ascari, Stewart, Graham Hill, Prost, Mansell, Hakkinen etc., but being at another levelby Frantic - F1
isnt Telmex confirmed as their title sponsor for 2014 onwards? (tough i dont think McLaren will adopt a light-blue and white scheme) Withmarsh said in some ocassion that if they found some sponsor that liked orange it could be back. It would add some color to the gridby Frantic - F1
Im pretty sure thats 1998 F300, the car has Asprey as a sponsor in the sidepods but no Pioneer, as they had in 1996-7. In 1999 they had Tictac and Fedex.by Frantic - F1
now codemasters devealed the line up of the classic series. They feature drivers that actually drove that car, and another ones that are "legends" of the team. 80s: Circuits: Jerez and Brands Hatch Williams FW07B (1980) with Alan Jones and... Prost Team Lotus 98T (1986) with Mario Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi Ferrari F1-87/88C (1988 ) with Berger and Schumacher Team Lotus 100by Frantic - Other Games
what a silly mistake from McLaren and Button. if everyone who was looking at live timing knew that he couldnt have a final lap in Q2 if he didnt push a little how can the race engineer miss that?? Fantastic drive from Bottas today, i think he is race winning material for a future. Until now he raced well, i found him as a very regular driver, finishing between 12th and 15th every race (and shoby Frantic - F1
wonderful qualy from vettel and hamilton. also from hulkenberg placing his car between the ferraris (i think alonso has his car set up exclusively for tomorrow) I wonder if that climb on the main straight could cause some effect at the start, with some cars from the early midfield gaining speed as they are starting some metres behind...by Frantic - F1
I want Alonso to win this, but it is too hard to fight against one of the best drivers in the bst car... Today Alonsos driving reminds me a little what Senna did in 1993 in the way that he is with the 3rd or 4th best car and he´s fighting for the championship (that Mclaren was miles behind Williams and Bennetton back then). Also i expect a good result for Kimi here, as it seems that the updateby Frantic - F1
