If McLaren buys engine division of F1, wouldn't be cause problems logistically? MTC is in England, where's BMW's engine division?by watercolours - F1
I agree with you. After almost solving their aero problems (They are -at least Lewis- quick in Suzuka which demans good aero) we can think they will build a competitive car for 2010 and without the power of Merc engine, their chances may be lower. If all teams agree on not using KERS, then maybe BMW thing work.by watercolours - F1
From www.f1-live.com The hottest rumour at the Suzuka circuit on Saturday is that McLaren is contemplating splitting completely with Mercedes at the end of the season. Germany's Auto Motor und Sport reports that the Woking-based team's plan, masterminded by chairman and former team boss Ron Dennis, is to buy BMW's Formula One engine division from the withdrawing German carmaby watercolours - F1
I think Ferrari leaves Kimi so free. Since he has a relax personality he must be kept under pressure a little bit.by watercolours - F1

In 2008, when Lewis cut the chicane people told that if there was a wall, he wouldn't have cut the chicane and wouldn't have been at the position where he was. And for Kimi's situation, if there was a wall, he wouldn't have gone wide enough and wouldn't have end up at 2nd position.by watercolours - F1
Shouldn't Webber's pit exit investigated? He drove onto Kimi's way and there could have been a crash. We have criticized Massa for similar instances. And waht do you think about investigation of Kimi's start?by watercolours - F1
Hamilton 1 Raikkonen 2 I haven't thought such a result was possible this year. The progress McLaren has achieved is amazing. But we have to see if they will be fast in quicker tracks. Congratulations McLaren.by watercolours - F1

No, that won't happen. Because there is no Ferrari gaining an advantage from that Indeed, I think they will just close the loophole.by watercolours - F1
@logue, I got you point and I am agree with you on that. Thanks I don't live in England, there isn't Hamiltonmania aorund me. Even they support McLaren or Hamilton, I also don't like the people which follow winners. Even sometimes I wish Hamilton wouldn'thave won the title so that I won't have to share my team with those who doesn't know anything about the team beforby watercolours - F1
Yep, I've been watching F1 since 2001 and I support McLaren right from the beginning. So I haven't witnessed the glorious 1998 and 1999. I cheered for Hakkinen & Coulthard, I cheered for Raikkonen & Montoya and I cheered for Hamilton & Heikki (Sorry but no supoort for Alonso). And when Hamilton won the championship I didn't become a Hamilton fan, I just witnessed a momeby watercolours - F1
And that's the long waited aero upgrade which will turn the MP4-24 into a podium sweeper miracle machine.by watercolours - F1
Haug has declared that MP4-24 is nowhere near where they wanted it to be. After the season starts they won't be able to test to solve the problem. So, they have just 4 days, otherwise they will bear number 22 & 23 next year again.by watercolours - F1
I hope the latter case is true but as an experienced McLaren fan, I prefer to be cautious before reaching a judgement.by watercolours - F1
OMG, it's the same situation on Red Bull's rear wing. It's just a reflection, not transparency. Anyway, it's still something different, that kind of reflection can't be seen anywhere on the car except that.by watercolours - F1

It's clearly semitransparent. In all the photos I've mentioned above and before it was said that they are just reflections. But all the photos have different angles, but in every shot what we see through the engine cover (or "on the engine cover" if it's a reflection) is always clearly aligned with the other side of the car. If it was a reflection, then there should haveby watercolours - F1
Apart from the slow pace of McLarens, I have stated that rearmost part of MP4-24's engine cover is semi-transparent. It's clear in the picture below. The outer lines of right fin of rear wing is clearly visible through engine cover. I don't know how they manage to prevent texts to be seen, but everything else can be seen through.by watercolours - F1
What's the morning session's results?by watercolours - F1
As far as I know, only the WDC's and team partner's car numbers are fixed by the regulations. They don't have a right to choose. For other numbers (3-23) FIA give 2 numbers to each team according to their finishing position in WCC. And each team decides which pilot takes which number. For some, they give the lower number to the pilot with more points in previous season. Some asks tby watercolours - F1
I have no doubt that the rearmost part of that engine cover is semitransparent. Look at the picture posted before. All those so-called reflections are perfectly aligned with the other side (Check the blue lines). In the pic below, all those parts visible on (or through) the rear potion of the engine cover is also in perfectly continuous with the background objects, not even a slightestby watercolours - F1
That was due to weather I think. with the improving weather and track conditions today, they began to use a 09-spec rear wing.by watercolours - F1
I couldn't figure out the "O" you mentioned. But if you follow the left rear suspension, the sidepod on the left, the clearly visible part of the left exhaust (the white part) they all continue flawlessly behind the rearmost part of the engine cover. If it's a reflection, then it's a real coincidence that all reflecting parts appear to be a continuation of the parts at thby watercolours - F1

I think if Kovy was not there and Kimi would be slow enough then he would have been able to turn 1 since Lewis has already in front of him on his way going off the track.by watercolours - F1
Even the fuel hose was not stuck on Massa's car, his race would have been ruined. Because apart from the fuel hose issue, his release from pits is an error. And he got the penalty not because of fuel hose, but because of jumping in front of FI. So, with fuel hose or not, Massa's race was already ruined.by watercolours - F1
