cool thanks for that. just noticed the Kvyat Toro Rosso above also doesn't have them. on some of the official studio shots of this launch car they did have markings, but they could have been an "unofficial" set of tyres, and not the ones they actually used at the pre-season tests. this one for example:by Muks_C - Off-Topic
said i'd get it when i first saw the real car and i did! What a beauty! so much better without the black. there are no Pirelli markings on the inner sidewalls of the rear tyres, a mistake by Minichamps?by Muks_C - Off-Topic
i was hoping for a livery change and was confused with the half black half chrome of pre-season testing and the first 4 races. i'd have preferred they go full chrome as with the MP4-29 pre-season livery, but that wouldn't have incorporated any Honda colours, and it's been revealed the chrome paint was too heavy. i don't mind this too much to be honest. red and white were essenby Muks_C - F1
finally got hold of the A21 to fill a gap in my collection or Orange Arrows, and one of the nicest carshapes of modern F1 time IMO:by Muks_C - Off-Topic
also got this a few weeks ago but forgot to post: i'm so glad the McLaren MP4-29 pre-season test version has been made into a model, it looks so good in full chrome livery. i want to get the Magnusson version but it's still very expensive at the moment. I'm also after a Ricciardo Red Bull. does anyone know if they're making race-win versions of this? as iby Muks_C - Off-Topic
new arrival today, the holy grail for Schumacher fans: i've been chasing this one for many years but it's always listed at crazy high prices on ebay, £100+. i can't believe i got it for £21 plus £2.80 postageby Muks_C - Off-Topic
the green light was on allowing Kimi to leave the pitbox, must have been a loose wheelnut.by Muks_C - F1

i know what you mean Gav, and i've engaged in many debates over the years. but looking back at those student days where you could easily while away many hours at a time debating the minutiae of the angle of the top edge of a barge board, as a "grown up" it just seems unimportant now, that's what i mean. i still browse and skim-read some threads but i don't have the will tby Muks_C - F1
i'm glad they finally moved the graphics to the edges of the screen, as it looked odd them being inset just to accommodate ancient 4:3 displays that virtually no-one is still using these days (sorry EC83). you should have an option to view the full widescreen display using a "letterbox" setting, so you will have black bars top and bottom but at least you will see the full width ofby Muks_C - F1

surprised no one's mentioned new Lotus Development driver Carmen Jorda (i know she's not a wife or gf but still):by Muks_C - F1
am not excited to see Korea back at all. the look and feel of it just screams "bland", although it's slightly entertaining to drive in the F1 games. I would like to see Magny Cours back, really enjoyed driving that in games. there'd be a lot of action into the Adelaide hairpin with DRS these days, and it'd be cool to see cars through the 2 fast chicanes again.by Muks_C - F1
i initially thought it sounded like "who is this mother f&$k?" but it does sound like "catter hum" the way he pronounces Caterham.by Muks_C - F1
glad Lewis won, but i feel sorry for Nico's car problems which denied him the chance to go foir it fairly, and denied us of a more interesting race, until Massa came along at the end. can you imagine the media's response had the car problems happened to Lewis, everyone would have been saying they nobbled his car to let the German driver win for the German team (we know the car and enby Muks_C - F1
we're all hypothesising about Lewis winning in Brazil with Nico retiring and then the reverse happening in Abu Dhabi, which would make Nico champ winning by 1 point after a 49 point deficit. look at it the other way: Nico wins in Brazil and Lewis has a DNF. Nico leads by 1 point going to AD. 1 race title showdown and double points doesn't have any effect. with the expected rain anythby Muks_C - F1
i agree with your viewpoints and i also remember those examples you gave. Webber scoring points for Minardi in Melbourne was another awesome achievement. maybe it's because we're so wrapped up in the title battle currently that 4 cars less at the back didn't make much impression in Austin. hopefully the redistribution of wealth will happen and we can see a grid of 22-24 stronby Muks_C - F1
i thought the JEV pass on Grosjean was crazy too, good that he got a penalty for it. Can't believe he got praised on the Sky and BBC coverage. had that been Grosjean on another driver, he'd have been crucified. same goes for Bianchi's move on the Caterham at Monaco, he bumped into him 2 or 3 times as he passed. the live race was fairly dull IMO, i watched the BBC highlightsby Muks_C - F1
it seems no one in the Sky pundits team remember that Brawn GP had Merc engines. Brundle said in his Mercedes GP history piece in the pre-quali show "the Honda powered Brawn...", and Johnny Herbert said a few races back that JB knew how good Honda were as he used a Honda engine to win his championship.by Muks_C - F1

a bit late i know, but it's annnoyed me how the media and many people (here and people i've met in person) have said what a good "recovery" drive Nico did. he had no disadvanrage whatsoever when he pitted, he was literally right behind Lewis as he entered the pits. it's not as if he span, lost a wing, got a puncture or otherwise, and dropped to the back of the field withby Muks_C - F1
some nice models there mate! just one thing, the one you think is an F1-2000 by Hot Wheels doesn't look like it's really that, it might be a cheaper manufacturer's version of it (Burago?). this is my HW F1-2000 that i converted to tobacco for comparison: just got this, Raikkonen '07 Brazil Championship model: with and without flash so you can see the real colour/by Muks_C - Off-Topic
the Caterham looks much better and actually quite nice with the new nose design.by Muks_C - F1
got the 1:43 Schumi Brazil 2012 Last Race model, it's really nice. the car may be a bit ugly because of the nose but it still is a beautiful model:by Muks_C - Off-Topic
what are the actual regs about the nosetip? the front edge of the ferrari and mercedes nosetip is quite far back, about half way across the depth of the front wing, yet everyone else has the appendage that hangs far forward of the front edge of the front wing. i understand the banana on everyone else's car is the crash structure as dictated by the rules, so where is ferrari and mercedes'by Muks_C - F1

don't know if any of you got a chance to watch any of the test coverage on sky, but Ted's roundups have been really good, they're repeating them a lot so you can still catch them or find them on youtube. he had a particularly good long chat with Remi Taffin from Renault which explained the engines in much more detail. he also spoke to Mark Smith of Caterham, about the nose desigby Muks_C - F1
cool. can you please show us some close ups of the engine?by Muks_C - Off-Topic
i am lolling at the ferrari. the plain silver mclaren looks gorgeous, and i like their nose most from all we've seen. hope they release a model of it in the test livery.by Muks_C - F1
