new arrival today, the holy grail for Schumacher fans:

i've been chasing this one for many years but it's always listed at crazy high prices on ebay, £100+. i can't believe i got it for £21 plus £2.80 postage :-O:-o ;)

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

also got this a few weeks ago but forgot to post:

i'm so glad the McLaren MP4-29 pre-season test version has been made into a model, it looks so good in full chrome livery. i want to get the Magnusson version but it's still very expensive at the moment. I'm also after a Ricciardo Red Bull. does anyone know if they're making race-win versions of this? as i've only seen the generic season model with his photo behind the car.

also the only Mercedes W05 they've released of Hamilton so far is from the Australian GP. what is the point of that model, he retired after 2 laps?!

finally got hold of the A21 to fill a gap in my collection or Orange Arrows, and one of the nicest carshapes of modern F1 time IMO:

Found this beauty after it being buried for more than 25 years:

All wheels and most of other parts still incuded.

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

said i'd get it when i first saw the real car and i did!

What a beauty! so much better without the black.

there are no Pirelli markings on the inner sidewalls of the rear tyres, a mistake by Minichamps?

Nope, accurate. Rear tyres haven't had inner markings for quite a while. Managed to find this screenshot.

Minichamps being awesome again.

cool thanks for that. just noticed the Kvyat Toro Rosso above also doesn't have them. on some of the official studio shots of this launch car they did have markings, but they could have been an "unofficial" set of tyres, and not the ones they actually used at the pre-season tests.

this one for example:

Yep, rather than being a mistake that's actually spot on. Minichamps have just consistently got it wrong for years.

Muks, hold onto that McLaren, very limited run and likely to spike in value.

yeah i love it anyway so wouldn't get rid of it. also it was Kevin's first F1 car so wanted that one rather than Button's.

I had a wonderful surprise today :-) I was out Christmas shopping and something told me to go in this shop I'd never been in before. It just so happened that they had this for sale by the till for £20!! That's got to be the find of the year for me... unless something incredible happens in the next few weeks, heh. Here's hoping :p

Wow that's amazing, find of the century!
I thought i'd done well with the 1:43 version for £24 a few posts up!
Just goes to show if people don't now about models or whatever hobby, they won't know the value and can give the item away for virtually nothing.

Haha yes, when I read your post Muks I realised just how lucky I was. I knew it might be a rare model but I didn't know just how rare. I bought it from a yachtie's shirt shop, so it was obvious they didn't know much about what they were selling me! I have no idea what made me go in that place but I'm so glad I did now.

Prices for new 1/43th models are now over 60 Euros. Besides, I am getting short of shelf space with 127 models. I think of quitting the hobby. Maybe Hamilton's 2005 WDC car was the last model I ever bought.

Yeah when I started as a kid, 1/43 at £25 and 1/18 at £50 were do-able/acceptable to make it a hobby

wouldnt dare pay the full prices nowadays! W01 is my latest model still!

I can go back even further, I bought my first 1/43 model (Schumacher 1995 Benetton) from the F1 Store in High Wycombe for a mere £16.99 and the 1/18 scale were a decent £34.99-39.99!
