What I meant was if Lewis and Nico keep on messing up races than Dan could get in there. Yes Nico closed in on new tyres, but could he pass Vettel in the race? nope. Nico should have won in Spa but blew it by locking up trying to pass vettel. Lewis bad luck was at Australia, Canada (the only reason Nico kept going was learning from Lewis not), Germany, Hungry, Spa. Lewis had been fastesby marcl - F1
They wont do that due to business partners. What they could do is say to him you need to let Lewis win the next 3 races to make up the points you took, but they its all fake and its bound to come out in the press. Best thing now is everyone just puts it behind them and gets on with racing. The last thing they want to happen is Mclaren in 2006 when they blew it by letting drivers race, Daby marcl - F1

Everyone thinks nico is so clean due to how nice he is. Webber could not stand him if you remember back, how many times did he make contact with ms when they were team mates? A lot. He turned left then right he knew what he was doing, every driver knows how easy it is to cause a tyre to go down. Maybe he thought he would be ok with his wing? He still should have won the race but later ruiby marcl - F1
If nico wants team orders then let's go through it. He would not have been allowed to race in Bahrain, Spain or Spa. Lewis has never actually had to pass nico in a race apart from Austria. This year is being decided by car problems anyway and not on the track. The only race lewis messed up was Austria and that was due to quali.by marcl - F1
The team are a joke, I cannot even see him setting a time fast enough to start the race. The guy has not tested the car, and Spa. Its really not fair on him and hes a good driver.by marcl - F1
I also think its far to early for him and tbh could be a danger to the rest. Its not due to his age its due to a lack of single seater racing, Kimi was in the same situation but atleast had a few years in a car. I worry for him, he could end up the same as his dad.by marcl - F1
I dont rate the Alonso move either, the Kimi move on Fissi was much better. Yeah I see what you mean, but Lewis still took a risk and even had a wheel on the grass but Vergne did not fight it. It was a good move but not great.by marcl - F1
I think Lewis did well with coming through but its like the Button win in Canada the other year. It would not have been a top 3 without the safety cars which is why I dont rate it that high. His move round the outside of the STR was fantastic though. Nicos tyres were no more worn than the STR and by then his brakes were fine he just did not risk a pass. Once Lewis made that pass and put hby marcl - F1
Everyone is going on about Lewis ignoring the team order, I think he was right to. Merc messed up and blew a 2nd and 3rd anyway. Lewis got ahead of Nico in the laps when Nico pitted, Merc then put Lewis on the slower tyres. They should have put them both on the softer tyres and stop the extra time. They both would have caught Alonso and pass. Lewis showed he was the better racer again.by marcl - F1
It should be easy to get the rule delayed as it will affect all the main teams that provide engines for everyone else lol. I just hope they all agree anyway.by marcl - F1
I am rather shocked kimi has not got a penalty for the next race tbh. He ruined the race of 3 other cars and caused an hour delay, people have got away with a lot less.by marcl - F1
The damage was already done though and they near enough failed after being cooked at the pit stop.by marcl - F1
Austraila there was a tiny hole in a cable that casued the problem not lewis fault. Canada depends how you look at it. Lewis had his brakes more to the back as he was faster that way. The brakes were running hotter anyway as he was not in clean air. What he should have done is stop racing nico and get the car home and that is what they meant by managing the situation better. So Caterham have been sold to the idiot Colin Kolles, they probably wont be around much longer with him running things. They will probably try and use the same car for the next 10 years and just run the team into the ground. Then when things get tough try and blackmail other team bosses.by marcl - F1
I think Williams have improved compared to the rest of the grid but I also do not think they have closed the gap to Merc. They do have a good car and are very good in a straight line and this helped them. Silverstone will be more of a test for them. This is a very short track so gaps are smaller. Merc messed up Quali and had they started ahead I think they would have been long goneby marcl - F1
Yep so if they cannot use the rear brakes as they would like they cannot charge the power systems so they are then down on power. Which goes back to what I was saying, they made an error with their cooling.by marcl - F1
It was not just brakes though it was also power issues again.by marcl - F1
Tbh I think Williams done the right thing, what cost them 2nd and third was Massa not holding up lewis and letting him pass easy. Lewis could not pass either of them on the straight they would have had him covered. What is clear is merc in hot weather are too marginal and with the summer races we could see them brake.by marcl - F1
Was a good race, mighty first lap by lewis. Nico had the race under control, this was a weekend lewis through away due to his mistake and could be costly. Great drive by both Williams drivers as well.by marcl - F1
It's very easy here to get knocked off at turn one then two, lewis is in just the wrong place. The Williams drivers need to keep it clean if they want to win.by marcl - F1
Lewis really cocked up today, he knew he was on a good lap so should have been a bit more careful on turn 8. His next lap he messed up and cost nico as well. At least we get a race tomorrowby marcl - F1
Vettel was very lucky, Massa could have gone into his car nose first in the side. I hate to think what could have happed to to Vettel if that happened.by marcl - F1
I dont get this massa turned to the right stuff. Of corse his wheel turned right it had to as there is a right corner, had he carried on straight he would have gone off! Perex jinked to the left simple.by marcl - F1
Tbh Massa just proved yet again that he is not a good racer in the pack. He closed up 1 second a lap and then just sat there and made silly errors.by marcl - F1
Yes the kers went at the hairpin as well. In the interview after the race they said it was in a few corners of each other but Lewis lost power first then Nico. It was the Paddy interview and this was confirmed later as well. Number of stories going round that Kimi is about to be dropped.by marcl - F1

Merc have said both drivers were managing the brake problems but lewis brakes over heated in the final pit stop, there was nothing he could do. Lewis was not over driving the car and it was nico locking brakes running wide and making errors. Lewis was the faster driver of the two in the race and I think 100% would have beat nico had the cars not gone wrong. I bet in the next race merc wiby marcl - F1
