Admittedly, I already have access to a full Sky Sports package (I still live with my parents) but this news still leaves me feeling sick to my stomach. I watch Cricket on Sky and that is covered very well, but from what I've seen of the motorsport coverage it's just dire. The only plus side is that they've picked good commentators in the past - John Watson, Ben Edwards - even Murraby zulu_85 - F1

Would it be time penalties for the guilty? If so, this won't really change a thing as Buemi was out of the points anyway and Hamilton, Webber and Button were a lap ahead of the next guy. I could be wrong about that though... Hmm, good race as far as the track goes, I was expecting at least one of the Red Bulls to run away and hide, so, yeah. Renault though...Petrov starts 6th, Heidfeld 2by zulu_85 - F1
Well, if Vettel's KERS problems are confirmed, it really is Webber's win to throw away in my opinion, and I'll agree with seeing Alonso ending up on the podium (though don't the McLarens have one more set of softs than Ferrari?). Top 2 may be a forgone conclusion, but I genuinely believe the rest of the field may make up for a very interesting Grand Prixfamouslastwords...by zulu_85 - F1
Let's not forget several members of the Ferrari pitcrew ended up in hospital after being hit by a wheel flying off Alboreto's Minardi as he left the pitlane. Would have been yet another horrible mark on Larini's day.by zulu_85 - F1

Hmm, if this news story broke in two days time I would have found it amusing but ultimately said it lacked effort. Why the hell would Räikkönen give up rallying for NASCAR??? Goes to show how much I know... I'm still surprised, but, hey, cool indeed!by zulu_85 - F1
Well, personally, I'm over the moon with Petrov on the podium - thoroughly deserved after this weekend's performance and all the crap that has been shoveled on top of him over the winter. He featured in the Red Button Forum - he won't let go of his trophy! I don't think he was really joking when he said he'll go to sleep tonight still clutching it. Perez went and stoleby zulu_85 - F1
I suppose choosing not to use it is different to it not working - Lewis would have had a much more tricky car to handle as a result. But still. Bloody hell! Vettel really should run and hide, but I hope he doesn't, just for the sake of the racing of course. But the race to find out who finishes behind him should be brilliant! I have to say I was laughing my head off after the BBC crew weby zulu_85 - F1
Want a problem with Turkey? It's been under continuous threat of Kurd terrorists striking deep inside the country for years and years. But (well, maybe bombing the Grand Prix is not within the Kurd's MO, which would help) with enough security, F1 doesn't have a problem going there. Look at where we're going in a few years time. After what happened at Domodedovo, I think blowiby zulu_85 - F1
@Gav - brake problems he said (though Piquet used to say that a lot after his offs - though that was during races, not during development runs) - that and he clearly doesn't like/hasn't got his head around KERS just yet, IMO. @Ferrari_Fuhrer - well, quite! But performance wise, Heidfeld and Kubica are known to complement each other very well and made BMW a very strong team, when theby zulu_85 - F1
Well Petrov spent most of the two days he had trying to fix problems with the KERS, leaking fluids and brake issues, spending virtually the entire time he had making sure it was working properly before having a "proper" go at it next week - that's the excuse he put forward at the end of his run. Therefore a die-hard Petrov fan may argue that the car was in much better condition forby zulu_85 - F1
Not trying to be pedantic but: Quote(from ) Meanwhile, Renault boss Eric Boullier, who said on Sunday it was too early to start thinking about a replacement, has admitted the team is now considering its options. "Of course we have already started to think and work on a contingency plan," he told BBC Sport. "He is definitely out for a couple of months. I expect the recovery wby zulu_85 - F1
Pity they've removed the Rose, but then, 'officially' (sadly, from some points of view) it's no longer a Yorkshire team, racing under a Russian licence this year. Marussia are touting it as the first Russian F1 team...well, there was Midland F1 if I remember correctly? Certainly hope the team performs better/owners stay longer than Midland, but we'll see.by zulu_85 - F1
Some of the above information plus Kubica's agent is sounding quite bullish about his future but then I'd agree; Kubica has always struck me as the kind of man who would fight his way back through injury - as long as the current surgery is successful, which I think everyone really believes/hopes it will be. As for Petrov...he has to be strong for the team, i.e. be consistent andby zulu_85 - F1
I think I'll have to just go away and come back a bit later when more is known - the rumours that are flying about right now I can barely watch - really hope they're not true.by zulu_85 - F1
Bugger Even if he's fit for Bahrain I'd say this is going to seriously blunt Renault's pre/early-season development... Apparently Boullier said last week that Senna will be first choice reserve for Renault as he's got slightly more relevant experience than Grosjean. Also that whole Senna-Lotus JPS livery thing maybe. This might just be his opportunity to show that inby zulu_85 - F1

In my mind the Lotus Renault livery does look nicer - than it did in the renders - a) on the new car and b) with the golden trim slightly thicker. I may still come to *like* it over the course of the season but as chet said (and I've said before too) it's not patch on last year's and to further what chet said - you don't need a string of rFactor nostalgia skins to tell you thaby zulu_85 - F1
I remember hearing that Spanish in Mexico is a little different to what it is in Spain and that the "th" pronunciation of "z" is itself quite limited. So I looked around youtube and found a news report from a Mexican sports channel about Perez's win at Monaco last year and I can confirm that he was referred to by the Mexican reporter as Perez, not Pereth, throughout, soby zulu_85 - F1
Glad it's not just us fans voicing our displeasure at the Group Lotus Renault - both in terms of livery and the whole ruddy saga around it. It's a real pity, well at least in my opinion, because Renault - not just its livery - was my favourite team last year and the Lotus story was one of those nice fairytale stories that F1 throws up once in a while only now its turned extremely sour aby zulu_85 - F1
I still think that it's made unnecessarily worse by the front and rear wing end plates being red. I imagine most if not all big black areas will soon be filled by sponsorship. Oh well, black cars are interesting I guess but the other problem for me is that the 2010 Renault livery remains one of my most favourite in the the 18 years I've been watching F1 - this just doesn't look asby zulu_85 - F1

This may as well go here, as we were talking about the future of Lotus - It seems after successfully buying the rights to the name "Team Lotus" from David Hunt, Tony Fernandez has incurred the wrath of Proton, who claim they hold the rights to everything to do with the Lotus brand and have terminated his entitlement to use the name in future seasons.
