Though as yesterday proved, even if the rains come and go in the hours leading up to Quali/Race, the track will still be damp and wet in places as it will take an age to dry. That'd still be a terrific element to add to the mix. If it does rain in the late evening then we might see FP3 get very interesting too. :)

You never know!
And anything could happen... I mean ffs Timo Glock was comfortably quickest in the damp in a Virgin at one stage!

Haha, I've lived here for 20 years so I kinda know the weather pretty well...and I'll stick my head out and say there'll be no more rain today. It did rain for about half hour in the afternoon though.
Outstanding Q1 performances from Klien and Heikki, Klien especially.

I think Sennas days are numbered. He failed to beat Chandok and now Klien is faster while barely knowing the car. Yes, he beat Yamamoto, but that's hardly shocking. He's been a disappointment to me from the very start of the season.
Great sessions today.

Great job by Alonso to get pole, and good laps from Lewis and Button. You have to say both RbR drivers did not deliver what the car should do.

Should be an interesting race.

I think they did OK considering they've lost the flexing bodywork. ;-)

i was waiting to see wheter Senna had a problem or what, but it's been confirmed, Senna is not worth that seat, his last name got it...

1.3 sec off his teammate pace? that's impossible... what on earth he's been doing all year?

He's not completely devoid of talent - he's won races all the way through his career... but clearly it's not working for him this year, be it the formula or the car.

While Chandok impressed more than expected, it's starting to look more like it was actually Senna being @#$%&.
Does Klien actually have any money behind him?

Regardless, he did a great job in qualifying - I always though he had some untapped potential in F1.

Alonso, Hamilton, Barrichello and Alguersuari were some other notable performances.

I feel sorry for Massa though (he just can't get a break at this track), but at least he gets a 'free' 9th engine, which could be useful later in the year.

Only if Ferrari can demonstrate that it's damaged. According to Ferrari during the session it wasn't the engine at all, but the gearbox electronics.

You can't just claim engines for the sake of it - they need to be damaged.
Wow, just seen the results, and Senna sucks bad!

How can Klien come in and be so much faster?

Get Chandock back in the car, he was pretty decent.

They are changing Massa's engine, taking advantage of being last anyway.

Im not sure if the engine actually needs to be damaged.

2013 - Nando must come through..

Klien outqualified Senna? Says a lot about Bruno sadly and unfortunately.

Petition to ban Nicole Scherlizzertwinger from the grid, endorsing X-Factor like that and drivelling other such fabricated nonsense while looking about for something more interesting to look at. Why do these idiots never seem to be able to form their own opinions on anything, get off!

OK, I misunderstood the rule.

From reading around, he still gets to use the one he replaced in practice sessions, just not in the races. So he does get some benefit.

Most pointless safety car ever really.
yes, that was stupid - unless there was some debris from Heidfeld as well - which makes it a little better.

btw, lol at Vettel's radio!

Tough call for the stewards there - I wouldn't be surprised to see Webber get a grid penalty for that.
