looking good btone... though I think maybe the cockpit on the tyrrell might be a little too far back
also I can get you a pic of the real dash if you like... that blue night-driving one drives me crazy on the 1994 cars, so I hope it doesn't end up in this mod as well
ps any chance we'll see the blue livery as well?

Grand Prix 4 does anyone even know where the one existing shape for the external wheel is? I've looked but haven't found it, and I've never seen any modified ones. If anybody does know where it is i'd be interested to know. Also I don't think that you can simply "add" a shape to Gp4, not without some hex editing at least

Grand Prix 4 I'd love to see it, though I'm sure it would never happen, due to cost mostly. I think there's also an olympic rule against anything with a motor. Strange though, they have got horses, which is about they same thing. And they don't even give the medal to the horse. Certainlly it would be a more legitimate sport than figure skating, gymnastics, diving, etc where the winner is d

F1 think you got enough detail in the brakes sixdegrees? looks a bit overkill to me honestly, especially for a part your never gonna see. but that car still looks f***ing brilliant, cant wait

Grand Prix 4 heres mine, featuring my new fw16 (still WIP)
you may have already seen these at the 1994 mod forums, I'll probably post more pics there today

Grand Prix 4 here's what I can find:
I know that the first two are actually from an fw13, but the basic style of dash is the same one that they ran through 1993, with minor changes. The bottom one is from an fw14b, hence all of the dials on the right for active ride etc.
hope that helps

Grand Prix 4 anyone know of anyplace else to d/l this fix from? All of the gamecopyworld links seem to be dead.

Grand Prix 3 things that need fixing:
the back part of the bodywork is way too wide
the cockpit opening is too short
the diffuser looks wrong too, i'm not 100% sure on that though
the rear wing should have 3 upper planes if it's that big
for the early version, it should have the big rear wing supports and the vortex generators on the frontwing endplates, like fongu already mentions

Grand Prix 4 actually it looks from that pic that the sidepod curves in very slightly as well.... never noticed that before

Grand Prix 4 looking good duffer
a couple things:
airbox intake is wrong: it should be a lot wider + more rounded at the top, rather than a triangle
it also looks to me (though it is kind of hard to tell from your pics) that the cockpit sides should be a little wider where the meet the sidepods

Grand Prix 4 it's "The European" and I believe that the white text inside the black line underneath says "the weekly newspaper for europe." If you look at video of a race at monaco from about 1992-94 they had a lot of signs

Grand Prix 4 the top of the nose should probably be a bit more rounded, especially near the cockpit. sidepods look a tad short (vertically). btw the last 3 pics that b-tone posted are NOT the 107C but rather the 109 that was used later in 1994. on the 107C there was also a bulge on only the right side of the cockpit left over from where the gearlever used to be: this would be a really nice touch to add.

Grand Prix 4 It seems too tall, or the tires are too small. F1 cars back then were 1m tall, and the tires 26" in diameter (2/3 of a meter), but on your car (and some of the other older cars too) the airbox height appears to be almost twice the tire diameter. Its hard to tell from those shots but it still looks too narrow to me (or could be an illusion because of the height). otherwise is looking good tho

Grand Prix 4 sidepods look like they should extend a little farther forward (on the real car they are ahead of the front of the airbox) & maybe the nose should be a little longer too. I think that the air inlet might have been a little bigger too, but I'm not really sure about that.
I think apriliaracer has got a point about the cockpit - the shape on the benetton's windscreen was somewhat sq

Grand Prix 4 No, no and no. You can't change the wheel shapes, in fact, there is no 3d shape at all: the wheels in external view are essentially a series of sprites. And nobody has figured out how to edit those successfully either, despite a lot of attempts.

Grand Prix 3 for me, I might make the carset of the 2004 nissan world series, or the international F3000 championship. I'm leading towards the former, since the carshape is a lot closer to the default shape. I've also some time ago made the steering wheel that is used in both these series.
I will probably also release some individual cars of 1994, but it's unlikely that I will do a full carset

Grand Prix 3 looks like an r23 to me. the sidepod has got two of the little aero flicks on it, they took the top one off early in 2003

F1 You CAN, in fact, remove the tires from the external views in gp3, if anyone is crazy and/or bored enough to try it. Here's how: go to gp3jams/main and remove the file chwheel1.jam. Cars appear to float in the air. You could, then, in theory, just draw the tire on the side of the car, but I don't think that it would work very well in practice. I'm a big fan of DTM (I think I like i

Grand Prix 3 somebody can edit the sparks if they want... maybe I'll keep working on them. I have a funny gfx card and they look kind of yellowish on my machine. If you want to know how to edit the sparks ask the gp4 folk, all their carskins are in tga format. Beware gp3 only seems to use the middle part of the texture.
As for the pitboxes in wrong positions: maybe I did. They definately DONT match up

Grand Prix 3 The sparks.tga should look like a blank rectangle when you open it with an editor, but it should be ok in the game. The transparancy is controlled by the alpha channel which you can't see unless you know how to extract it in photoshop or psp.

Grand Prix 3 I dont know what's going on.... I do know that it is kind of big for a carset (6.2 mb) since it also includes the menuart as well. I also know that there aren't any spaces in the filename

Grand Prix 3 @Quickslick: Widow and Jacki are right, I would like to upload it myself. Another big reason than just the credit for making it is the fact that whoever uploads something to this site has the ability to update it easily, which I might want to do in the future. Thanks for understanding.

Grand Prix 3 ok, I uploaded the carset. it looks like I can't upload the cockpit yet (I guess I've exceeded my upload size limit), so it will have to wait a few days. Hope you enjoy the carset for now.
