I'm sure you mean this one: (your link/embed above didn't work for me).
The marshalls (and nearby spectators) were very lucky - it was very close to putting a big downer on what was a fantastic weekend of motorsport and excessive drinking!
We stayed for the Seat Leon Eurocup race after the final WTCC because the previous day's race had been so entertaining. There were actua

Other Motorsports The way Ferrari's race performances are going, maybe Phillip Morris will just pull the plug and stop wasting their money on the team anyway. That would then finally be the end of it!
I quite like it when the teams have one-off film tie-ins, usually at the Monaco GP (Coultard in the Superman cape being the most memorable).
Wouldn't it be fun to see Webber and Vettel swap their regula

F1 Anybody else going?
I'll be there for the weekend. Camping overnight and trackside lounge for the race day.
Anyone fancy meeting up, or has any inside info on entertainments for Sat evening, let me know!
Cheers

Other Motorsports McLaren now include a track map along with their live telemetry, comments and (edited) pit/car radio comms.
But unfortunately, the map only shows the positions of their own cars.
Also, it's quite difficult to get that to fit on the same screen as the main live timing.

I agree.
Legard's "up the hill, round the corner, what can he do now?, what is he thinking?" is going to have me switching to R5L

F1 To be honest, I'm less bothered about accessing the standard timing through a mobile, since I've usually got a laptop or desktop handy when I'm watching a race, and the smaller screen isn't really ideal for the stats.
It's more about the extra features (particularly track position map) that I'd like to have. It's incredible that this is only available through

F1 Can I assume that the majority of us watch the F1 races with our computers logged into the official live timing screens? I certainly do, and it definitely adds a lot to the understanding and enjoyment of the races for me.
The new(ish) iPhone timing app looks fantastic, as it offers extras, like (extrapolated) track positions. But I'm not an apple/mac/i-everything user - and never will be!

They're extending Monaco too - it'll now turn off at Mirabeau and take a detour via the suburbs of Nice, before returning to the tunnel.

Or is it just me?

That comment, just like the strategy, was pure genius!

F1 Too much negativity for me, so I'm going to be positive...
Well I've been enjoying the racing recently! There's been enough overtaking (Jenson in Brazil, for example) and as far as I'm concerned, there's much more to a race than the number of on-track overtakes.
I assume that all the fanatics on this forum watch the races with accompanying live timing from F1.com

F1 Your last point is great, Jim. I don't think anyone could reasonably argue that the medals system was a good idea. I was so happy when that was shelved.
I definitely think that having more points-scoring positions is better. Not just for the money the new teams can get by scoring points, but just to help separate them in our own perceptions.

4th: 10

Doesn't make much difference really. 1st-4th are all proportionally still the same. But it will give all the new teams a better chance of picking up some points, so I like it.
Shouldn't 7th be 4pts though? The gaps are all screwed up: 1,1,1,2,1,2,2,5,5,5

F1 I can see the reasoning for more power, and hence less corners that can be taken flat-out. But I don't think compromising safety is the way to go.
How about:
The driver with the most overtaking moves at the end of the season gets to punch Bernie in the face.

F1 Two wacky ideas:
1:
Have qualifying, then move the 8 points-scoring drivers from the last race back by the number of points they got. Everyone still goes flat out in qualifying, and it's worth getting a 10-place penalty in the next race for the 10 points you get for a win.
2: Use the ECU to give the cars ever-so-slightly different maximum revs (or something else equivalent) accord

F1 The increase in weight is still going to leave drivers slimming down so the extra weight can be moveable ballast.
Wouldn't it be better (as suggested by Brundle, I think) to have a set weight for driver + seat, so that the exact same weight will be in the same place (pretty much) for all the drivers?
Overall I think I'll miss refuelling, but will be interesting to see what happe
